I got my 2004 Marauder from a neighbor down the road from me. At the time it had a little over 200,000 miles on it. I paid $ 4500. Its black with sun moon roof. I think it might have been used as a unmarked police car in the Boston area. The wheels had been changed to 16 inch aftermarket wheels, original wheels are $400 each in good shape. It has a 4:10 rear end. Its not as bad as I thought it would be on gas. Maybe a few miles under on the highway. My mechanic had a stock marauder. He was impressed at the difference the 4;10 gears made in the performance. I've had it for close to 6 years now. It has over 400,000 miles on it. Everything still works and it drives great. But I do keep it up. I fix it, or have it fixed if I don't feel like doing it. Recently my overdrive has started slipping. I researched it, easy fix. The overdrive servo snap ring breaks can go into the servo. Trans fluid is clean not burnt. Best $4500 I ever spent.
The only thing the Marauder 4.6 has in common with the Cobra 4.6 are cylinder heads. The block, crank, pistons, and rods are different. Not a cobra engine.
I remember driving by the Ford dealership in late 2002 and seeing a brand new black marauder there, when in high school. My friends and I were just in awe of what a panther car could have and look the way it did! I'll never forget it! I love the memories and my 2003 grand marquis, thanks Mr random!
For a 20 year old car you can't expect much especially from a gussied up sedan that only a cop or grandma would be caught driving. They do handle very good, ride very nice and are a true pleasure to drive on the highway. Mine has 125k on the dial and other than an annoying door rattle it's dead quite and the interior is still like new. The engine is a bit of a pig but what do you want from 286 cubes that's has the footprint of a 426 hemi. You have to twist it up pretty tight to get it to move, that's for sure and It does sound good at 6500 rpm.. I often contemplate 4:11 gears or a supercharger or just to piss of the Ford guys, maybe I'll drop in an LS when the chains give up at 300k. Either way it's never going to be sold. And yes, they don't make them like they used to. This car is a testament to a quality product Ford no longer has the ability or the desire to manufacture.
Honestly the reason I love the Marauder is because it’s just a better crown Vic. I have a red 1997 ford crown Victoria (only 86,000 miles) and it’s the best car I’ve ever had. Not great on gas but it’s just such a great car. So comfortable. Great review! Also really like the crown Vic in the video!
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the Marauder. My biggest issue is honestly, they aren't that comfortable at all. Compared to a civilian model like your 97, the ride of a Marauder is jittery, harsh, jarring, and truck-like. The Marauder seats are also significantly harder and less comfortable than Crown Victoria seats, even the LX Sport. Additionally, the Marauder gets awful gas mileage all while being still honestly being a pretty slow car, yes its faster than a civilian model, but so is a Nissan Altima. I hardly think the increase in performance warrants the loss in efficiency. If the motor made more like 400 horsepower I'd be all for it, but you get a difference of some 50 horsepower from a P71, and barely half the fuel economy. Its just not worth it. And while yes, it rides like a truck, this doesn't mean it handles like a modern performance car either. It rides like a truck, AND handles like a truck. There still really isn't any steering feel, the car just feels "disconnected" handling wise, despite being the opposite of that ride wise. The rack and pinion steering used in the 03+ panthers while an improvement over the old steering and more than acceptable for a civilian model, I find it still to be vague, slow, and clunky feeling from a performance standpoint. And Marauders are a lot heavier than something like your 97 as well, and you can definitely feel the extra weight in its agility. Overall, I think its overrated. The car loses too much, and gains too little. Its overhyped and overpriced. I'd much rather just get an LX Sport or civilian model and upgrade to fatter sway bars and call it a day. It'll ride far better than a Marauder, all while handling the corners just as "good" or better. And you'll have the cushy seats, a V8, and fuel economy you can actually live with.
A 2004 Marauder with 2,400 original miles, one owner, sold for $38,500 at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale on January 30, 2022. That should set the bar for prices on all other Marauders up for sale right now.

personally i’ll keep my Marauder over a crown vic, or a grand marquis. it’s a rare car with a few differences. It’s also a great feeling when people are able to recognize the Marauder as a Marauder. Also knowing you own one while not your average joe can feels good too, not too basic
I've only had my Marauder for a couple of years so I don't know if I can speak fully to the mystique that surrounded them when they 1st came out. But I do know that the few people that recognize my car as not being a run of the mill Crown Vic do seem to understand what's special about it why.
It's not cobra powered, it's don't have a forged bottom end and a supercharger. In all reality, if you want it to be Cobra powered you are going to have to spend a lot of money to make it so. The crank, rods, and pistons are not forged in the 302hp 4V and the front cover is not the same. If you do supercharge it you will only be able to run about 6 psi of boost safely. The manifold is also different from the one on Mach 1 and Cobra. The core support is different from the other panther cars, headlights and grills don't interchange. Also, the way that the cooling system runs for the heater core is also different. Also, the 4V is costly to rebuild the right way, double the parts for the heads, and like Mustangs a high mileage car has likely been beaten on and needs lots of attention. Lots of things to look out for if buying an 03 or 04 Marauder. You are likely better with the 04 because it might have the better DB heads and the trans. With the heads I say might have because some early 04s could have the 4 trend heads. Entering into the 4V world opens up its own set of problems. I am a Mustang guy into a Marurder, not the other way around, I also own a 04 Mach and other Mustangs.
A guy that lives around the corner from me has one of these and it has been sitting for years! I left a note on it that I am interested to buy. It’s a damn shame… car should be driven and enjoyed!
Just like the 94-96 impala ss is a dressed up 9c1 caprice the marauder is a dressed up crown vic but the impala ss is king of the b-body and the marauder is king of the panthers lol
Seems like maybe another difference is the marauder has 3.55 gears while the lx sport is 3.27. Thats what I found online at least, definitely worth mentioning.
basically just as reliable as a crown vic. there are 2 mods that should've been done, one to cool the driver bank head and the j mod for the transmission that are in all panthers. everything else is the same. ive seen some with 300k+ miles for sale i almost bought one with 250k that drove real well.
My dad had a brand new Mercury Marauder in 2003 and probably kept it till 2006 or so. I can tell you that a BRAND NEW Mercury Marauder is worth the hype. A lot of the ragged out Marauders for sale now in 2022 - may not be worth the hype because they were not taken care of. Even some of the garage kept ones sat and sat for so long that it ragged those out. No nothing beats a brand new one from the factory. Best thing to do is buy one and restore it. OR Buy a Grand Marquis regularly driven by some old man and give it a make over.
How's it going? That was one cool video. I've always loved Marauders. My wife still has her dark blue Marauder. If your into Marauders, check out the original Marauders, here are the years they were made. 1963-1965 & 1969-1970. Stay safe and take care. Keep up the cool videos.
Blue is rare. Hope she hold onto it. She will have something really special in 10 or so years. Pantherd are already going up and becoming highly sought after.
I really love the looks of the marauder, however I don't think they are worth the money for just a 50hp increase. For the price you pay for a marauder you could just buy a crown Vic and swap in a LS or 5.0 for less than the cost of one.
@@ineedandrenaline if you get the opportunity to drive a Marauder you should absolutely do so. I'm by no means knocking Crown Vics. I was looking for one when I luckily came upon a Marauder in my price range. However even with the abundance of aftermarket components available for Crown Vic. It would cost a small fortune not to mention a bunch of labor to match the performance of a stock Marauder.
i saw my little easter egg! glad you did it! that car looks sexy as hell! cant wait to be down there to drive it man! Definitely a bucket list car for me as well! 🤜🤛
Me too I prefer a 04 just cause I cherish the last of something a bit more than the 1st or original. Just would get a subwoofer & USB cord & I'm good to go. Just would have it for driving to work as a 2nd car.
Thanks. I know the Marty tune make a noticeable difference, that is my next mod. I have 4:10 gears already. I just didn't know if the combination was enough the close that 50hp advantage the Marauder has.
I don’t doubt it. Ford always underrated it’s numbers for obvious reasons. 🤣🤣🤣 come to think 💭 of it my brothers 88 Lincoln LSC Mark VII 225hp but could run like a scalded dog.
I have a CV Sport and Marauder. I have to agree with u on most everything u said. It is a Glorified CV Sport. I. Other words it's a Crown Vic on steroids!
I love the Marauder as well but I bought the next best thing, the LX Sport. If money ever allows I wouldn't mind getting a Marauder because I've always wanted one even before I knew what a LX Sport was. Once I saw the LX Sport I had to have one.
@@neilaloysius3634 I got mine at a price I can’t disclose but depending on condition of course $6k. Go to OfferUp and search for 2007 CV LX Sport in bowling green Kentucky. The marauder I missed out on had 57k miles and sold for $17,900
Im learning about the panther platforms watching your videos. I know the 4.6 V8 is the last of the most reliablile engines Ford produced. I got my eye on the grandpas mercury grand marquis that would be fun to modify.
Go for that Grand Marquis. They are great cars. I wouldn't modify it at all though unless you put a better intake manifold on it or maybe do cat back exhaust etc. These cars are reliable because they were engineered to be that way. When you start putting cold air intakes on them and J-Mod BS it tears them up. I would personally go for a newer Grand Marquis though. Just because all the gaskets and seals will last longer. I own a 2011 CVPI SAP and it's not only a good looking car but it's quick too. 280hp and that's with real upgrades. Not this DIY snake oil garbage. These are really good cars. Take care of one if you get it.
@@MrRandomReviews I dont know, I had a cat delete, custom mufflers, cold air drop in, and a marty tune on my p71 and the marauder feels much faster. You'd need some real power adders to get it faster id imagine.
The 4.6 2v loves and needs forced induction…There’s just simply not much you can do to the 2v that you can’t easily do to the 4v to surpass its power…If you weren’t going forced induction your first bottleneck on the 2v is the heads the factory heads just don’t offer much support over 300hp..
@@ThePlatform_603 not really, my old P71 had 4:10 gears, a CAI, msd ignition coils, and a cheap sct tune and I beat a marauder from a dig and a roll race while manual shifting. It's mostly the 3.27 gearing ratio that makes your Vic feel slow, get a 3.73 or a 4.10 ring gear and that car will wake up quite a bit. Also 2.5 inch exhaust straight-piped instead of an x or h pipe makes a world of difference in the upper rpms. (That Vic was stolen a few years back) currently working on my 2011 p7b. Cams, trickflowheads and possibly headers are in it's future. 👹
@@booga-squirrel4566 Nice, I hear the trickflow heads are supposed to be good. My vic was an 04 with a 3.55 lsd in her, but im sure 4.10s would be good off the line. It would have been nice to get a full exhaust on it but I wrecked her out in december. Picked up a marauder as a replacement and when I say it feels a lot quicker I was more talking overall. Since they both have 3.55 its more of a direct comparison. Generally seems like its easier to spin off the line, but that could because its got like 9 y/o rubber on it and its 0 outside lol. Highway speeds going 80 or so, when you put your foot in it, as soon as it drops the gear your already going 90 its kind of crazy.
My brother. You will Always have my love and Respect . But, this has been known all along. It was just hard to accept. Either way. You own a Marauder now! If you wanted to you could sell the rest of your fleet and recoup some of your cost. The Marauder, IS the Premier Panther.
It’s scary to see how many pieces from the ford parts bin found there way into so many different cars, for the rest of the Australians among us there are sooo many interior parts from these that were used in the E series Falcons
*Mr. Random Reviews* Love the car man,i hope when you get on the gas it glues your head to the seat like the crown vic's do,it's a blast to drive cars like these everywhere!!
I agree with Nick S. Many people think that the Marauder has the exact same motor as the same year Mustang....NOT true! Factory 302 HP sounds like a lot, however, once Ford de-tuned it for production models, it was NOT the same. I encourage anyone who has not driven a true Marauder, to test drive one and see for yourself. The de-tuned motor in the Marauder is not the same as the Mustang motor and has very minimal low end torque. 0 to 60 time 7.5 seconds (Car and Driver), not quick. From 30 to 60 mph and 30 to 100 mph the performance is pretty decent. I owned a 2004 Marauder from 2014 through 2018, color: Dark Toreador Red. I still love the exterior look of the vehicle, however, the performance is seriously lacking for these vehicles, especially for the original dealer sticker price of over $34,000 back in 2003. I also currently own a 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS, which is actually quicker low end and faster top end than the Marauder. Just like the Marauder many people still believe that the 1996 Impala SS had the exact same motor as the same year corvette...also NOT true. I will always appreciate muscular exterior look and the decent sounding factory exhaust of the Marauder, however, unfortunately, it's bark is much worse than it's bite. I still love the look of this car and appreciate the Panther platform. Pros: Great exterior look, Comfortable ride (especially on highway), Decent factory exhaust note. Cons: Low end torque (0 to 60 performance unimpressive), Premium fuel required, Gas mileage, Fit and finish, Reliability.
have you ever seen a STOCK marauder VS impala SS? the marauder always beats it....not sure what you meant that it has more high end power and torque. I love the SS but its not faster than a marauder
@@MrRandomReviews First of all, MUCH respect to Mr. Random and all Marauder and Impala SS enthusiasts. I will continue to enjoy your company online and at car shows everywhere. Yes sir, I have seen several stock Marauder vs Impala SS's at car shows, drag strips and have personally driven them for years. I sincerely didn't want to start any argument on which vehicle is faster. That discussion could go on forever between fans of each vehicle (Make/Model). I still love both vehicles and would purchase another Marauder in a heartbeat. I just wanted folks to be clear that at over 4000 lbs. each, neither vehicle is neck snapping fast off the line in stock configuration, but both are WAY more fun to drive than your average grocery getter. Please see below for additional info. Again much respect to all enthusiasts. The Marauder engine made 302 hp at 5750 rpm and 318 lb-ft of torque at 4250 rpm. Redline was 6100 rpm. For 2003, it was teamed with Ford’s 4R70W four-speed automatic transmission with a higher stall speed torque converter. An aluminum driveshaft channeled torque to a 3.55:1 axle ratio.
Continuation of previous post: In comparison, the 1994-96 Impala SS had 260 hp at 5000 rpm and 330 lb-ft at 3200 rpm and used a 3.08:1 axle ratio. In Car and Driver’s hands, the 4280-pound Marauder trailed the Impala SS: 0-60 in 7 seconds vs. 6.5 and the quarter-mile in 15.5 seconds at 91 mph vs. 15.0 at 92 mph. The Marauder’s top speed was limited to 117 mph to protect against driveshaft vibration. The 4220-pound Impala could hit 140.
@@MrRandomReviews yeah but thats a used trans im asuming this is a remanufactued with 100k warranty. i feel like half that quote is for the labor. which is insane too. my parents shop uses jasper. how hard is it to instal a trans a hom lol
@@MrRandomReviews Agreed! But depending on where you live. The prices might be more. Plenty of options from junkyards and rebuilt. Pretty common to have to replace a transmission eventually anyways so usually it can be done cheap. Look around and have a little bit of know how. Their not hard on these cars.
I got my trans rebuilt in Murfreesboro, TN. He pulled it out, rebuilt it, and put it back in, fluid and all for around $800 with a warranty. No complaints and it has been about 3 years.
I still want one next to my grand marquis ls Ultimate edition but my god the prices on so many are insane many are selling more than the price it was when it first came out which makes no sense at most these cars are 8k I looked it up a 2003 accord is faster like wow
Brutal review or no, I’d absolutey kill to have one and kick myself for not jumping on one when they came out. The Mercury brand has always been special but this model harkens back to the glory days of automobiles and the last gen Marauder. Add to that the fact that Mercury revived the iconic Winged Messenger on the seat backs, steering wheel, and and center caps. Old meets new. Crown Vic (yawn) 🥱 LOVE THIS CAR😍❤️❤️
I still think this engine/ car was only made to use up the 2000 cobra engines. This car should of been offered with the 03 cobra engine they had all the parts on the shelf, and would of beat all the Camaros and mustang gts
A lot of odd ball information here that isn't quite true regarding the marauder. Much of these parts are different . Skipped us out on the other differences like center gauges and more . At the end of the day the marauder is a panther car that has panther parts. no different than the cues of the cobras during this time and their slight differences . Par for course ford at the time and kept costs low. but still many aspects are different here . I did my supercharger install video on my marauder as you can see and you can see those differences in the vic and marauder parts.
Dude you should put it on a five inch lift with some big ol dirt tires . . . Make the Marauder a Mudder! Throw a duel snorkel exhaust if you're feeling crazy
So during the snow storm that caused people to abandon cars on lake shore drive. I was in Minnesota. Flew in for work. I had a Chrysler 300 as a rental flipped it. Hated that car. So I go back to rental car company and say I need another car. They gave me that. I'm like what the fuck are you doing trying to rent this in a snow storm. All they had. Solid review but I prefer the P71. The Marauder was a very solid car tho. Much quicker than the rest. But I still prefer the P71s since they were service cars with solid availability on parts
GREAT VIDEO..BUT...U 4GOT MR RANDOM. THE LX DOESN'T HAVE THE BUCKET SEATS WE HAVE IN THE MARAUDER. NOTED THEY ARENT SWEET ASS HELLCAT BUCKET SEATS, BUT ITS FUNNY HOW FORD TRIED TO MAKE THE SEATS CURVE ON THE EDGE OF THE BACK SUPPORT PART OF THE LEATHER TO GIVE IT A SPORTY BUCKET SEAT LOOK. THE LX HAD THE THIN REGULAR CROWN VIC SEATS
It does NOT have a Cobra motor. Cobra motors are hand built from SVT and have forged internals. The Cobra block is iron and the Mach-1 is aluminum. The Marauder has a Mach-1 motor. Now my Marauder has a Cobra motor because I put one in to handle the Super Charger. 😎🇺🇸
The general consensus of the magazine reviewers at the time was that the Marauder badly needed a supercharger. Much of the public, including myself, really expected it to have one. Disappointed then, ain't spending the stupid money to buy one now.
"Back when they first made these cars in 2003" (Me looking at a sky blue '64 Monterey marauder)😎 Lol jk bro truth be told, I'd take the Panther marauder in a heartbeat!
The Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis were overall very good cars that were just a bit underpowered. Having the body & interior of a top spec Crown Victoria isn’t a bad thing. And the 32V V8 is really the engine these cars should have had from the beginning. The Marauder never should have been a special Halo car. It should have been the standard model.
@@MrRandomReviews I have an LX and it's pretty nice. I've seen so many people remodel their interiors as well,. it's probably easier to make the interior nice than to Cobra swap a Lincoln Town Car lol
The 4.6 dohc was less than reliable IMO. I owned a 1998 Lincoln Mark 8, and WHEN it wasn’t f-ing up, it was pretty strong. That said, it was f-ed up a lot. I would rather have had the 250 hp SOHC 4.6 from either of my 2 CVPIs in a 1997 Thunderbird.
Not many Mercury Marauders available, so my husband built a pretend one -- it's the famous 95 MERC. Not as fast as a Marauder, but perfect for long-distance, high-speed touring of the deserts and mountains here in the Western USA. All the comforts of a Grand Marquis -- with the brakes and suspension of a P71, and the B&M-modified automatic transmission gives firm, quick shifts while making it easy to drive.
My brother raced a Marauder in his LX Sport and they were literally head to head, I don’t think it’s worth the hype and money, plus that 4v is more problems.

I'd take the 96 Roadmaster over the Impala SS any day
They also made a Grandmarquis with a console and floor shifter.
Seems like maybe another difference is the marauder has 3.55 gears while the lx sport is 3.27. Thats what I found online at least, definitely worth mentioning.
When can we get an LSE on the channel?
Ahhh damn I was hoping for a race and information about how reliable it is
basically just as reliable as a crown vic. there are 2 mods that should've been done, one to cool the driver bank head and the j mod for the transmission that are in all panthers. everything else is the same. ive seen some with 300k+ miles for sale i almost bought one with 250k that drove real well.
@@downthestret lol I already knew that. I was looking out for everyone else.
always wanted to find a set of Marauder wheels for my grand marquis
Love it and still love my 95 Lincoln mark iiiv
So how many LX sport were made?
My dad had a brand new Mercury Marauder in 2003 and probably kept it till 2006 or so.
I can tell you that a BRAND NEW Mercury Marauder is worth the hype.
A lot of the ragged out Marauders for sale now in 2022 - may not be worth the hype because they were not taken care of.
Even some of the garage kept ones sat and sat for so long that it ragged those out.
No nothing beats a brand new one from the factory.
Best thing to do is buy one and restore it.
OR
Buy a Grand Marquis regularly driven by some old man and give it a make over.
Blue is actually the rarest color in marauder bro I believe only 300 were made in blue EVER
I really love the looks of the marauder, however I don't think they are worth the money for just a 50hp increase. For the price you pay for a marauder you could just buy a crown Vic and swap in a LS or 5.0 for less than the cost of one.
Something tells me you've never actually driven a Marauder.
@@jeffhunter2553 no I haven't I just have a regular P7B.
I need the spoiler, front bumper and the wheels
I kinda want to see a maruder get a coyote a 10 speed and mustang irs
what if you had the mercury maradure tuned by marty ?
i saw my little easter egg! glad you did it! that car looks sexy as hell! cant wait to be down there to drive it man! Definitely a bucket list car for me as well! 🤜🤛
hell yea man👊😉😉
Theres a fhp marauder for sale near tampa
I still want a marauder!! Would love to have one with a sunroof!!
Me too I prefer a 04 just cause I cherish the last of something a bit more than the 1st or original. Just would get a subwoofer & USB cord & I'm good to go. Just would have it for driving to work as a 2nd car.
Honest question. Which do you think would have the best quarter mile time, a stock Marauder or a Marty tuned P71 with 4:10 gears?
marauder unless you add a few more mods to the vic
Thanks. I know the Marty tune make a noticeable difference, that is my next mod. I have 4:10 gears already. I just didn't know if the combination was enough the close that 50hp advantage the Marauder has.
That’s a beauty man, seen this when u first posted it on IG she a beauty
Love my Marauder. She's a keeper. Fun fact they were underrated at 302hp. More like 330ish.
I don’t doubt it. Ford always underrated it’s numbers for obvious reasons. 🤣🤣🤣 come to think 💭 of it my brothers 88 Lincoln LSC Mark VII 225hp but could run like a scalded dog.
It doesn't matter because a Marauder is a boat.
Lol I saw Marauders up to 30k , sweet baby jesus!!! I'm getting a P71.
i got lucky with this one for $10k only 75k miles. theres still some decent ones for 7-8k but they are getting harder to find
I have a CV Sport and Marauder. I have to agree with u on most everything u said. It is a Glorified CV Sport. I. Other words it's a Crown Vic on steroids!
Yea Grand Marquis with a muscle car engine
I'll still get 1 for a 2nd car maybe just for work tbh
Show the tachometer in the LX Sport
There is an old man I used to see him pass couple years ago In Illinois around aurora il that was a nice marauder
I love the Marauder as well but I bought the next best thing, the LX Sport. If money ever allows I wouldn't mind getting a Marauder because I've always wanted one even before I knew what a LX Sport was. Once I saw the LX Sport I had to have one.
Got an ‘07 Lx Sport. Fun To Drive No Doubt!
How much do they go for ?
@@neilaloysius3634 I got mine at a price I can’t disclose but depending on condition of course $6k. Go to OfferUp and search for 2007 CV LX Sport in bowling green Kentucky. The marauder I missed out on had 57k miles and sold for $17,900

So is it a 4.6L or 6.4L
@@blessedjuggernaut the J-Mod was specifically designed by ford engineers…
I wanna see the Marauder vs lx sport
I remember I wanted one before I got my P71 the engine HP is only a 50 gain difference so i rather mod the P71 but that Marauder do look good
you can def mod a p71 to easily surpass a marauder...its more about the total package and the legend behind the car that cant be replicated
Have you tuned the Marauder yet?
Everyone says Cobra engine, its a Lincoln engine .
The Cobras also used Lincoln engines. Does make sense as to why they say it's a Cobra engine
how can i find that bottom front bumper ?
Recommend a place for Panther work in Middle TN?
i should probably open up my own place🤔
Hell yeah you should! I know there would be some of us from North Alabama who would use you.
My brother. You will Always have my love and Respect .
But, this has been known all along. It was just hard to accept.
Either way. You own a Marauder now!
If you wanted to you could sell the rest of your fleet and recoup some of your cost.
The Marauder, IS the Premier Panther.
These cars are still goin for ridiculous money right now. I’ve seen them as high as $40K 👀 that’s just ridiculous
Is this fa sell ?
What kinda wheels or these?
marauder wheels.....
So swap the heads for the 4 valve and double cams and all of a sudden it's a Mercury Crown vic? I mean a Ford marauder?
It’s scary to see how many pieces from the ford parts bin found there way into so many different cars, for the rest of the Australians among us there are sooo many interior parts from these that were used in the E series Falcons
I have a 03 lx and the main difference between it and the sport is color match grill and center console. but marauder Is goal
The lights the weels the engine the interior the rear en gears it's all different the bumpers
Hey mister random buying my first crown vic p71 it's a 2003 with 99 thousand miles ex rcmp car love watching u keep the vids coming
I have a 2003 I'm restoring also . It's a cruiser . I also have a new z71 and I would chose that panther over that truck for a daily / Rd trip any day
Its just a vic in a tux like you said in a video a while back its not really no faster its just louder 0-60 is dam near the same
Wanna bet? I have both and the marauder pulls alot harder on the other end. The take off is kinda the same
@@MrRandomReviews
First of all, MUCH respect to Mr.
Do a “5.0 coyote Mustang is basically a V6 Mustang” video.
2005 grand marquis trans just took at shit just after 100k miles. quoted 4300 for a new jasper installed by my shop. opinions?
thats WAYY too much man. you can find a trans on ebay for around $400 then have the shop install it
@@MrRandomReviews yeah but thats a used trans im asuming this is a remanufactued with 100k warranty. i feel like half that quote is for the labor. which is insane too. my parents shop uses jasper. how hard is it to instal a trans a hom lol
Mines did too, but I’m at 254k. Plus I’m having the manifold leak thing going on.
I'm sorry but I have a question how many times did y'all change your intake manifold
Never
Ive known this since they were new took one for test drive 130mph with dealer lol! And Impala SS!
This is a cool generation of Crown Vic!
The Marauder is the factory hot rod version!😃👌
Brutal review or no, I’d absolutey kill to have one and kick myself for not jumping on one when they came out. The Mercury brand has always been special but this model harkens back to the glory days of automobiles and the last gen Marauder. Add to that the fact that Mercury revived the iconic Winged Messenger on the seat backs, steering wheel, and and center caps. Old meets new. Crown Vic (yawn) 🥱
LOVE THIS CAR😍❤️❤️
I still think this engine/ car was only made to use up the 2000 cobra engines. This car should of been offered with the 03 cobra engine they had all the parts on the shelf, and would of beat all the Camaros and mustang gts
Both those cars are beautiful ❤️
My 05 p71 walks on these all day long. Smaller engine in my car, sohc 4.6, but 373 gears go a long way.
Of course it's not stock
Crazy bout them Mercury's
A lot of odd ball information here that isn't quite true regarding the marauder. Much of these parts are different . Skipped us out on the other differences like center gauges and more . At the end of the day the marauder is a panther car that has panther parts. no different than the cues of the cobras during this time and their slight differences . Par for course ford at the time and kept costs low. but still many aspects are different here . I did my supercharger install video on my marauder as you can see and you can see those differences in the vic and marauder parts.
Dude you should put it on a five inch lift with some big ol dirt tires . . . Make the Marauder a Mudder!
Throw a duel snorkel exhaust if you're feeling crazy
thats what i got the HoboCop for bro lol you havent seen it?
Yeah but doesn't the Mudder Marauder have a ring to it?
Plus I don't see a five inch lift on the hobocop, but maybe I'm behind
One of the cleanest marauders I ever seen
Of course it’s a crown Victoria they’re all crown Victoria’s
So,lx sport aren't rare in the crown Vic world?
they are. only the ones with the floor shifters though
WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING!!????
It does NOT have a Cobra motor. Cobra motors are hand built from SVT and have forged internals. The Cobra block is iron and the Mach-1 is aluminum. The Marauder has a Mach-1 motor.
Now my Marauder has a Cobra motor because I put one in to handle the Super Charger. 😎🇺🇸
The general consensus of the magazine reviewers at the time was that the Marauder badly needed a supercharger. Much of the public, including myself, really expected it to have one. Disappointed then, ain't spending the stupid money to buy one now.
You can eaton or trilogy supercharge a Marauder.
Love my marauder
The 4v Lincoln Mk 8 engine. It had this engine first.
Igor’s cobra snake on the side it’s not a cobra motor
not cobra engine.....Marauder,Mach1 and Lincoln Aviator use this all aluminum engine....Cobras used iron block and forged internals

I have an 03. Ehhh.. its ok.. nice to drive though.not mind blowing any way. But i like it.
Just saying, it's Mach1 powered not cobra. The Cobra had a forged bottom.end. Oh yeah and a supercharger lol

Lol jk bro truth be told, I'd take the Panther marauder in a heartbeat!

Honda Accords were actually faster in the quarter mile.
