A small thing that's noticeable that not a lot of people pointed out, is that Gyaruko's makeup routine is a lot less complex then Minako's. She doesn't put on lipstick or seem to be wearing any foundation. She does so little she doesn't even need a hairband! Compared to Minako, Gyaruko seems to be naturally beautiful, not really needing to put much effort into changing her face. The most she does is work on her eyes and hair. Maybe a part of jealousy Minako has is that to her, Gyaruko is more beautiful without even putting in half the work.

Like the robot girl (sorry I'm not good with remembering name and I didn't watch Minako content in a long time), in her video at the start she don't have sparkle in her eyes and is acting like a kuudere but at the end her eyes have sparkle and she start to act more affectionate and warm. In media everything is done for something you don't put detail aimlessly. Minako is an obsessive killer who seems to lack the sparkle the other girls naturally have (before she put the contact her eyes are dull, and the robot girl before gaining feelings was the same way) Gyaruko put little make up because she is only dressing up a little, Minako put more while trying to act like gyaruko she is trying to imitate her spark and personality.
I love how the last "tomodachidaiyone?" was executed. Like the visuals make it out to seem like she's about to say something cute and heartfelt, but when the line is delivered, it sounds off. In a good way. It's still cute, but it had a mocking undertone, like she was secretly sneering down at the audience but acting cute to be coy about it. I love how layered it was!!!

It’s rather interesting how they put more emphasis on the sparkle that glistens in Gyaruko’s eyes more than they did with Minako’s. It’s as if to heavily play into the fact that even if Minako wears eye contacts to copy Gyaruko’s looks, she will never hold the same and unique spirit that the latter holds with her own looks. Edit: Another thing I've noticed, thanks to the help of someone here in the replies, is that Minako's eyes during her first appearance have a rounder and distinct shape if you looked closely enough. However, during her second appearance - after Gyaruko's -, it's very notable as to how much more similar, if not the same, her eye shape is to Gyaruko's. Would explain why Minako is much more expressive during her second appearance than her first.
You can see gyaruko eyes during the glitches. One she has a pair of eyes over the black bar and I think she is missing her eyes in one. There is also the "we're friends right?" Spirt that plays a little before the black bar with eye. I don't know what this mean and sorry for any errors.

I find it weird how no one is talking about Minako’s hair near the end. After Gyaruko finishes talking, the first clip shows Minako putting on earrings, hair looking normal. Second clip, there seems to me more hair in the front than before, giving a “disheveled” look, like she is losing it. In the third clip, her bangs are messy and her entire hair looks like it has a lot of split ends… reminds me of something… oh yeah, the black-haired, pale-skinned, blank-eyed Minako we see in the original PBC video??? i might be going crazy here, but it’s gotta symbolize how killing gyaruko affected her, like she isn’t even bothered to keep her cutie patootie persona for the last few seconds of her “video call”
One thing i noticed is that in Minako's second part, her pupils keep getting smaller and smaller with each expression change, which doesn't happen to Gyaruko's eyes (until the last frame). Compare Minako's mean expressions to Gyaruko's mean expressions, Gyaruko's expressions seem slightly annoyed at worst and come off as mostly lighthearted, meanwhile Minako's expressions seem straight up malicious. You can tell that while Minako is copying Gyaruko's expressions, Gyaruko's large pupils show that she's just playing around while Minako's shrinking pupils show that the disgust in her face is absolutely real.

My theory from this is that, at least the Minako part, happens after she murders Gyaruko, repeating the things she said in what appears to be her last call (Minako probably recorded or remembered that call very well) As Gyaruko prepares, she dons the same clothes that she is known to have died in.The only phrases that I think are not from the call are the "We are friends, right?" and most likely the person speaking during the distortion is Minako while she was attacking Gyaruko, she probably panicked and tried to remind Minako that they are friends, she also kills her and then tries to imitate even her last words
This is interesting- the part where she mentioned how she’s rethinking the friendship- that could have really put Minako over the edge, causing her to kill Gyaruko. Its like a if I can’t have you no one can scenario, dark as hell
I just realised that Gyaruko's eyes are more sparkly than Minako's and she's more expressive as well. I guess it shows that no matter how much Minako copies her, Gyaruko will always stand out and Minako will never be able to replace her no matter how hard she tries. Minako's expressions also seem forced, showing that's she's trying to speak and act like Gyaru but failing, she also puts on contacts before the call which shows that she is insecure about herself and her appearance. Gyaruko on the other hand, seems more natural and more laid back because she's confident about herself and sees Minako as a friend, an equal. Gyaruko also invites Minako to her house, and in the middle part it sounds like she's saying "I think we should end our friendship" which is probably why she invited Minako to her house. When she says "We're friends, right?" in the second half of the song she looks horrified and scared, and sounds like she's pleading with Minako. Minako probably killed her afterwards. In the last part Minako is probably practicing acting and looking like Gyaru, probably after killing her and coming home

I don’t know Japanese at all but I do realize that the last set of lines we hear from minako are the same as the first set of lines we get from gyaruko. Minako’s demeanour changes with the last set as well, as though she’s trying to talk like her “Gyaru talk” Edit: I realize gyaruko’s second set is also the same as minako’s first set, so I could be wrong in terms of the symbolism bc it might just be a choice of design, but I still think in symbolizes the two “merging” in that minako tries to be gyaruko
"Gyaru talk" also has a bit of a double meaning here. One, it could mean Gyaruko's way of speaking/personality, which Minako is trying to mimic. And two, the word "gyaru" is a "Japanification" of the word "gal/girl", making it mean "girl talk", which makes sense with both of them putting on makeup and talking to each other.
Actually one more thing: During the last set of lines with Minako, it’s clipping between each line like it does with the others (indicating these were said at different points in time) except for the last two “no, that’s too troublesome. We’re friends, aren’t we?” It says to me that she is literally practicing lines in the mirror, as she just says two completely separate things in one take. It’s no longer clips from a conversation.

Maybe “友だちだよね/tomodachi da yo ne” (we’re friends right?) was Gyaruko last words or something? It could also what Minako said before killing Gyaruko. The phrase is repeated a lot and at 0:58 the look in her face makes me feel like she’s being threatened or scared of being killed. Then Minako’s sinister look at the end while saying the same line. Edit: also another thing to note is that at 0:49 - 0:59 Gyaruko is wearing the same shirt Minako was shown wearing in the first video (Minako’s room), maybe this is showing the events (them getting ready) right before she was killed. Though Minako getting ready could be a bit after killing Gyaruko and just copying her lines. Also sorry for spelling Gyaruko’s name wrong earlier ^^;
It's like she's practicing being her. Every single line they both say is the same, so she's likely repeating things Gyaruko said to her before in front of the mirror like a rehearsal.
I've noticed several ppl theorize that Gyaruko had called Minako over to her house to cut off their relationship the day she died, but I think the truth is that Gyaruko genuinely thought of Mina as a friend and frequently invited her to hang out. Mina, meanwhile, was really only friends with the other PBC girls to boost her own status/clout and would kill them either when they stepped out of line or ceased to be useful to her goals. The voice in that middle part saying "I don't think we shouldn't be friends anymore..." etc. in that eerily calm/cute tone is clearly Minako. Gyaruko nervously repeating "W-we're besties, right?!" in the second half was very obviously her begging for Minako to spare her, bc you wouldn't do something that horrible to your best friend, right?? Right??? Which makes Minako repeating it again at the end extra cold, since it's clear she's just been copying Gyaruko's speech patterns/lines and with that last "We'Re bEsTiEs, rIgHt?" she is outright mocking her late "friend." She has zero remorse for what she's done. But that's just my own personal speculation. This is such a fun series to analyze!

Well no, I have an different theory. I think minako framed gyaru for murder, the video has 4 phases, phase 1 and 4 has minako, and 2 and 3 has gyaru in it, and 1 and 2nd phases are before incident, the others are after. But I Just realised they say the same things between the phase 1 and 3, and different but same things told by different persons (gyaru and minako) in phase 2 and 4,for example, minako and gyaru says the same things on between 0:13 and 0:48, and between 0:27 and 1:04 (those are Just examples, other sentences are same too on the phases I mentioned) so I thing minako litterally hacked their show to toggle their lycrics. Watch it again and you Will realize it too.

Honestly, the expressions in here are amazing. I've never seen people give their main characters that much expression when it comes to negative or petty emotions. I really aspire to be that good some day.
The most interesting aspect about this is that you can clearly tell that Gyaruko's joking when she says stuff like: "That's gross!" or "No way, that's too bothersome." However, Minako sounds like she ACTUALLY means it. This either means that Minako really did think Gyaruko was this 'mean' version that she's portraying, or that Minako can't ever disguise the innate distaste or jealousy or hatred she had towards Gyaruko or anyone else.
@@tencat24 means that usually in anime the contacts are like as small as they are in real life, eventhough anime eyes are way bigger than real life eyes. in this case the contacts are sized according to her eyes and not her hands/fingers.
You can tell exactly how... _bad_ Minako's attempts are to show proper expressive emotions in the first part after you've seen Gyaruko's turn and can now compare them. Minako's eyes are so frozen and superficial (literally, since she's wearing contacts), and her body mannerisms are so dull. On the other hand Gyaruko's eyelights glimmer according to her emotions and each portion of her animation cycles are lively and are always in different poses, she's significantly *way* more animated than Minako. One thing you get from here, is that Minako's actively imitating Gyaruko, and her last set seems to show that she's significantly improved with it. However her voice is still not quiet there. And I love how you can just tell that there's something off in Minako's voice, because while comparing them seems harsh, honestly, compared to Gyaruko's voice, you can still tell she's a *fake*
All I got from Minako is a villainous vibe. In the end of the video, it shows how her jealous and anger over the fact that she can't truly be Gyaruko is showing. When you see in the first half, you can just tell she's a eager girl although a bit little creepy. Towards the end, her act is perfected... Only in a way that a villainous person would.
It could be that Minako is staring at her reflection (if she and Gyaruko are in a video call or something). Her eyes never leave a single point, probably the little viewfinder of herself. That could also imply Minako is only having the call in order to copy Gyaruko (which explains why they say the same lines)

So replaying the video several times and studying their dialogue and facial expression's here's my thoughts and theories! Looking at Minako's section, it's interesting to note that her dialogue doesn't start until after she's inserted her contact lenses. Assuming the dialogue is during a face-cam call, and likely their last conversation before the video Minako's Room, it shows that Minako's very conscious of not showing any 'ugly' or less than composed facial expressions. She uses contact lenses to hide her natural and yet unsettling dark blank eyes. Her expressions are minimal and restrained, her eyebrows don't furrow, her eyes don't squint, and she is always smiling delicately. On the other hand, during Gyaruko's section, she's not afraid to pull an awkward expression while doing her mascara, does a funny little ">~

As someone who's been both Minako and Gyaruko, I can kinda understand what's going on here. First of all I think this is happening over the phone on a face call, and the bathroom incident happens afterward (in the auto-subtitles for English, Gyaruko asks Minako to come over to hang out, so it hasn't happened yet). Secondly I think the first half is how the call went in reality (how Gyaruko sees), and the second half is in Minako's mind (how she interpreted). The middle dialogue that is hard to make out is what was said in person in the bathroom. In the first half, we can see how subtly guarded and insecure Minako is- she gets ready for the call by putting in contact lenses to hide her "flaws", meaning her dark, dead, blank eyes (and to look like her friend). She wants to impress her because she looks up to her, wants to be her and not be rejected. Gyaruko on the other hand is confident, likes Minako the way she is and sees her as an equal. So Gyaruko has no problem showing off the "imperfect" or goofy faces she makes when doing makeup, along with her energy and personality quirks. It's hard to understand, but the middle dialogue seems like maybe in person Gyaruko realized Minako was trying too much to be like her, and said they should "play together in moderation", so Minako would go back to being the girl she used to be. But Minako takes this VERY hard, as if she's being rejected. The second half Minako has Gyaruko acting how she thinks she personally acted in order to get "rejected" (very over the top cutesy, a little hyper, and desperate for approval). Minako has herself acting how she THOUGHT Gyaruko felt towards her - aloof, visibly irritated, and maybe a little disgusted? Overall I think she wishes she were the cool friend, and to know what it's like to have someone else jealous and try very hard. I hope this made sense! I love videos of the Pink Bitch Club and hope we get to see some more with Charlotte and VYT-24!! 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
To me it sounded like minako speaking over the static, I like to believe she was quoting something gyaruko said "this relationship is getting kinda heavy, let's hang out less" before killing her

I like your theory but the clothes changing let me think that it isn't just two points of view of the same call :0 (If you're interested, I believe in the theory that, after killing "the real" Gyaruko, Minako created an other Gyaruko in her mind (and the other members too), so this are for me two different calls but the first was before the murder and the second after, that's why the character's looks changed--> in the first one, Minako looks and sounds more natural and cute, while in the second she's cool and really confident, and Gyaruko looks way brighter in the second call... I think that because of some events that happend between both calls, Minako's personnality simply changed, she became darker, and because in the second part it isn't the real Gyaruko anymore but a fictionnal one, the second is more expressive and bright, the roles kinda switched between them!)

Is anyone else realizing that Gyaru has naturally orange eyes, but Minako needs to put in colored contacts in the same shade? It shows that Minako is so attached to her friend that she’s even emulating her sparkly eyed look. Although, personally, I feel like Minako’s feelings of envy aren’t just that she wants to look like Gyaruko, or even that she wants to BE Gyaruko, but that she WANTS Gyaruko. The creator confirmed that Gyaruko is straight, and, given this creator’s emphasis on relationships between girls, and Minako’s obsession with Gyaruko’s life, perhaps Minako has an infatuation with Gyaruko. I think often in LGBT people, myself included, a lot of conflicting feelings tend to arise when they develop romantic feelings, especially among women; we are taught to compete against other people of the same gender as us and to fight to not be unappealing (usually to men). So a girl having a crush on another girl, who is usually appealing in many ways, end up with cognitive dissonance. Is it love, or is it envy at what they have? Do you want to love them or do you want to be them? I think this feeling of envy mixed with infatuation will be why Minako is the way she is. She hates that Gyaruko’s style is so striking, yet craves it for herself, and, wants to kill her to get her out of the picture; even yet, she wants to be WITH Gyaruko, and obsesses over her every word and action not just out of a desire to act it out, but to adoringly remember her obsession’s words. Minako isn’t driven by plain old envy, but a mix of insecurity and infatuation.
That's a cool theory but l feel like the creator woundn't want to give the LGBTQ+ community "a bad rep" because this kind of stuff kinda controversial. Still l think that this is a really creative theory ^_^

Although, I don’t think it’s necessarily giving LGBT+ people a bad rep: a lot of Vivinos’ work involves WLW and horror, either as the subject or as the one being scary, and manages to do it in a tasteful way. I don’t think it’s bad to bring a highlight to a relatable feeling, even if it’s a toxic one. It might be controversial, but, at least as a WLW myself, I don’t see why it’s a topic that shouldn’t go unaddressed. I think Vivinos’ channel is almost the perfect place to address something like that, especially since she’s LGBT herself. That being said, my theory could be completely incorrect. I don’t mean to act as if I’m right, because no one but the artist can confirm that.

Minako is obsessed with everything about Gyaruku. She loves her look, her attitude, basically everything that makes her…her! But this evolves into some sort of love (obsession with who she is), but she’s also jealous because she wants to be her. In the part of the video when Gyaruku’s face is blocked out and glitches are happening, she says “this relationship is getting a little tiring, why don’t we hang out less from now on?” Making Gyaruku is now unsettled by how much Minako is involved with her. In the last frame of Gyaruku after the glitches, she says again (like she and Minako did before), “we’re friends aren’t we?” Looking panicked. As if she was trying to convince *someone* (Minako) they really were friends and she didn’t have to do something. Could this be when Minako killed her? Or is she trying to stop her from harming their other friends? Most likely the first but it’s a theory so y’know, gotta lay out all the possibilities you know. In all, Minako is definitely jealous and obsessed with Gyaruku at the same time.
I agreed until I saw the frames in between of Gyaruko's censored eyes. There's a frame where her eyes are half showing and have some weird colors, but then the frame where there's just randomly realistic eyes over the censor bar actually scared the shit outta me when I went back frame by frame

They are probably saying the same thing, repeated. Which i assume Minako was just repeating what Gyaruko said before she actually went bye bye ascends. Although as we see in the past Minako series, her eyes were alrdy in that color
@Estrella I was trying to say that she metaphorically took her eyes at the start of the relationship by wearing matching contacts. I got that later at the end of the video she physically took her eyes
0:22 and 1:10 are when minako says "We are friends, right?" 0:33 and 0:58 are when gyaruko says "We are friends, right?" If you compare them, Minako is more expressive the second time, but she doesn't sound genuine either time. Gyaruko sounds genuine the first time, and then the second time she's terrified and sounds like she's pleading.
Maybe she developed her personality after she killed her?? Minakos mannerism in the second part is a lot like her imitating gyaruko, plus they're saying the same lines. Or maybe it was just an attempt for minako to make gyaruko like her more? Im soo hooked on this series!

I understood like 90% of the Japanese and that sounds right - thanks for filling in the gaps! Thing thing I'll add is that "Yabai" or "Yabe~" which literally means "dangerous" is actually slang for cool, kind of like "sick" or "wicked" in English :)
@@danicatempleton6745 That Yabe is definitely closer to "dangerous" as opposed to "cool". She's saying it in reference to being hungry. "やべ腹減った。" More accurately, it would be more like "Damn, I'm hungry" and not really focusing on the literal "dangerous" aspect.
I'm not really good with theories or smaller details but, I think the frame at 0:51 might have been how Minako tried to attack(?) Gyaruko at first before resorting to more violet measures. Also, the thought of them together, doing their makeup makes me think that they were in a bathroom, also the location where gyaruko was murdered.. Anyways that's the only thing I could interpret from it. Feel free to clarify anything else ʕ·ᴥ·ʔ
1. I can't stop watching this! The gorgeous style and the creepiness of the repeated phrases is so mesmerizing! 2. I don't actually think Minako is talking to Gyaruko here. I think Gyaruko's scenes are the day of her murder, and Minako's are a day or so after, when she's reminiscing about and imitating Gyaruko's speaking patterns. As if now that she's gone, Minako can fully replace her. To me that's even creepier to think she's casually doing her dress up routine while mimicking her friend's last words remorselessly. 3. Another great animation! Thanks for making it 💕
I love how, even if you didn't know about the story, you can clearly tell Minako is imitating Gyaruko and failing to achieve her original charm. Lines like "This is so cute!" or "Damn, I'm hungry" sound completely different. If you rewind once you've heard Gyaruko say it, you can tell Minako's tone is emptier and less genuine - a copy.
I find it so freaking amazing how expressive and subtle their expressions are and even body movements. Big kudos to the voice actors for hitting all those subtle nudges! Big inspiration for animation.

I found that Minako is actually trying to do an impressionation of Gyaruko, trying to repeat the same lines in the way she does. In the end it sounds more awkward and Minako fails at acting like her - her voice isn't as genuine as Gyaruko's in the same lines. I took a while to listen to it and even the Minako's movements are emotionless, effortless compared to Gyaruko's, when her facial expressions change a lot and Minako is expressiveless
@@Crazygamergal When Minako says it, it comes off as a bit clingy, like she's looking for assurance. Gyaruko says it in more of a "It's fine, we're friends" way, like she's assuring Minako that she's her friend (then said again in fear as she's seemingly pleading for her life). Minako's clinginess may have been the reason Gyaruko wanted to step back from their relationship.

A small thing that's noticeable that not a lot of people pointed out, is that Gyaruko's makeup routine is a lot less complex then Minako's. She doesn't put on lipstick or seem to be wearing any foundation. She does so little she doesn't even need a hairband! Compared to Minako, Gyaruko seems to be naturally beautiful, not really needing to put much effort into changing her face. The most she does is work on her eyes and hair. Maybe a part of jealousy Minako has is that to her, Gyaruko is more beautiful without even putting in half the work.

Like the robot girl (sorry I'm not good with remembering name and I didn't watch Minako content in a long time), in her video at the start she don't have sparkle in her eyes and is acting like a kuudere but at the end her eyes have sparkle and she start to act more affectionate and warm. In media everything is done for something you don't put detail aimlessly. Minako is an obsessive killer who seems to lack the sparkle the other girls naturally have (before she put the contact her eyes are dull, and the robot girl before gaining feelings was the same way) Gyaruko put little make up because she is only dressing up a little, Minako put more while trying to act like gyaruko she is trying to imitate her spark and personality.
I love how the last "tomodachidaiyone?" was executed. Like the visuals make it out to seem like she's about to say something cute and heartfelt, but when the line is delivered, it sounds off. In a good way. It's still cute, but it had a mocking undertone, like she was secretly sneering down at the audience but acting cute to be coy about it. I love how layered it was!!!

It’s rather interesting how they put more emphasis on the sparkle that glistens in Gyaruko’s eyes more than they did with Minako’s. It’s as if to heavily play into the fact that even if Minako wears eye contacts to copy Gyaruko’s looks, she will never hold the same and unique spirit that the latter holds with her own looks.
Edit: Another thing I've noticed, thanks to the help of someone here in the replies, is that Minako's eyes during her first appearance have a rounder and distinct shape if you looked closely enough. However, during her second appearance - after Gyaruko's -, it's very notable as to how much more similar, if not the same, her eye shape is to Gyaruko's. Would explain why Minako is much more expressive during her second appearance than her first.

You can see gyaruko eyes during the glitches. One she has a pair of eyes over the black bar and I think she is missing her eyes in one. There is also the "we're friends right?" Spirt that plays a little before the black bar with eye. I don't know what this mean and sorry for any errors.

I find it weird how no one is talking about Minako’s hair near the end.
After Gyaruko finishes talking, the first clip shows Minako putting on earrings, hair looking normal. Second clip, there seems to me more hair in the front than before, giving a “disheveled” look, like she is losing it. In the third clip, her bangs are messy and her entire hair looks like it has a lot of split ends… reminds me of something… oh yeah, the black-haired, pale-skinned, blank-eyed Minako we see in the original PBC video???

One thing i noticed is that in Minako's second part, her pupils keep getting smaller and smaller with each expression change, which doesn't happen to Gyaruko's eyes (until the last frame). Compare Minako's mean expressions to Gyaruko's mean expressions, Gyaruko's expressions seem slightly annoyed at worst and come off as mostly lighthearted, meanwhile Minako's expressions seem straight up malicious. You can tell that while Minako is copying Gyaruko's expressions, Gyaruko's large pupils show that she's just playing around while Minako's shrinking pupils show that the disgust in her face is absolutely real.

My theory from this is that, at least the Minako part, happens after she murders Gyaruko, repeating the things she said in what appears to be her last call (Minako probably recorded or remembered that call very well) As Gyaruko prepares, she dons the same clothes that she is known to have died in.The only phrases that I think are not from the call are the "We are friends, right?" and most likely the person speaking during the distortion is Minako while she was attacking Gyaruko, she probably panicked and tried to remind Minako that they are friends, she also kills her and then tries to imitate even her last words
This is interesting- the part where she mentioned how she’s rethinking the friendship- that could have really put Minako over the edge, causing her to kill Gyaruko. Its like a if I can’t have you no one can scenario, dark as hell
I just realised that Gyaruko's eyes are more sparkly than Minako's and she's more expressive as well. I guess it shows that no matter how much Minako copies her, Gyaruko will always stand out and Minako will never be able to replace her no matter how hard she tries. Minako's expressions also seem forced, showing that's she's trying to speak and act like Gyaru but failing, she also puts on contacts before the call which shows that she is insecure about herself and her appearance. Gyaruko on the other hand, seems more natural and more laid back because she's confident about herself and sees Minako as a friend, an equal. Gyaruko also invites Minako to her house, and in the middle part it sounds like she's saying "I think we should end our friendship" which is probably why she invited Minako to her house. When she says "We're friends, right?" in the second half of the song she looks horrified and scared, and sounds like she's pleading with Minako. Minako probably killed her afterwards. In the last part Minako is probably practicing acting and looking like Gyaru, probably after killing her and coming home

I don’t know Japanese at all but I do realize that the last set of lines we hear from minako are the same as the first set of lines we get from gyaruko. Minako’s demeanour changes with the last set as well, as though she’s trying to talk like her

"Gyaru talk" also has a bit of a double meaning here. One, it could mean Gyaruko's way of speaking/personality, which Minako is trying to mimic. And two, the word "gyaru" is a "Japanification" of the word "gal/girl", making it mean "girl talk", which makes sense with both of them putting on makeup and talking to each other.
Actually one more thing:
During the last set of lines with Minako, it’s clipping between each line like it does with the others (indicating these were said at different points in time) except for the last two “no, that’s too troublesome. We’re friends, aren’t we?”
It says to me that she is literally practicing lines in the mirror, as she just says two completely separate things in one take. It’s no longer clips from a conversation.

Maybe “友だちだよね/tomodachi da yo ne” (we’re friends right?) was Gyaruko last words or something? It could also what Minako said before killing Gyaruko. The phrase is repeated a lot and at 0:58 the look in her face makes me feel like she’s being threatened or scared of being killed. Then Minako’s sinister look at the end while saying the same line.
Edit: also another thing to note is that at 0:49 - 0:59 Gyaruko is wearing the same shirt Minako was shown wearing in the first video (Minako’s room), maybe this is showing the events (them getting ready) right before she was killed.

I've noticed several ppl theorize that Gyaruko had called Minako over to her house to cut off their relationship the day she died, but I think the truth is that Gyaruko genuinely thought of Mina as a friend and frequently invited her to hang out. Mina, meanwhile, was really only friends with the other PBC girls to boost her own status/clout and would kill them either when they stepped out of line or ceased to be useful to her goals. The voice in that middle part saying "I don't think we shouldn't be friends anymore..." etc. in that eerily calm/cute tone is clearly Minako.
Gyaruko nervously repeating "W-we're besties, right?!" in the second half was very obviously her begging for Minako to spare her, bc you wouldn't do something that horrible to your best friend, right?? Right??? Which makes Minako repeating it again at the end extra cold, since it's clear she's just been copying Gyaruko's speech patterns/lines and with that last "We'Re bEsTiEs, rIgHt?" she is outright mocking her late "friend." She has zero remorse for what she's done.

Well no, I have an different theory.
I think minako framed gyaru for murder, the video has 4 phases, phase 1 and 4 has minako, and 2 and 3 has gyaru in it, and 1 and 2nd phases are before incident, the others are after. But I Just realised they say the same things between the phase 1 and 3, and different but same things told by different persons (gyaru and minako) in phase 2 and 4,for example, minako and gyaru says the same things on between 0:13 and 0:48, and between 0:27 and 1:04 (those are Just examples, other sentences are same too on the phases I mentioned) so I thing minako litterally hacked their show to toggle their lycrics. Watch it again and you Will realize it too.

The most interesting aspect about this is that you can clearly tell that Gyaruko's joking when she says stuff like: "That's gross!" or "No way, that's too bothersome." However, Minako sounds like she ACTUALLY means it. This either means that Minako really did think Gyaruko was this 'mean' version that she's portraying, or that Minako can't ever disguise the innate distaste or jealousy or hatred she had towards Gyaruko or anyone else.

You can tell exactly how... _bad_ Minako's attempts are to show proper expressive emotions in the first part after you've seen Gyaruko's turn and can now compare them. Minako's eyes are so frozen and superficial (literally, since she's wearing contacts), and her body mannerisms are so dull. On the other hand Gyaruko's eyelights glimmer according to her emotions and each portion of her animation cycles are lively and are always in different poses, she's significantly *way* more animated than Minako.
One thing you get from here, is that Minako's actively imitating Gyaruko, and her last set seems to show that she's significantly improved with it. However her voice is still not quiet there. And I love how you can just tell that there's something off in Minako's voice, because while comparing them seems harsh, honestly, compared to Gyaruko's voice, you can still tell she's a *fake*
All I got from Minako is a villainous vibe. In the end of the video, it shows how her jealous and anger over the fact that she can't truly be Gyaruko is showing.
When you see in the first half, you can just tell she's a eager girl although a bit little creepy. Towards the end, her act is perfected... Only in a way that a villainous person would.
It could be that Minako is staring at her reflection (if she and Gyaruko are in a video call or something). Her eyes never leave a single point, probably the little viewfinder of herself. That could also imply Minako is only having the call in order to copy Gyaruko (which explains why they say the same lines)
This. Minako is an obvious fake and she probably killed Gyaru in a fit of anger, jealousy and frustration that she would never replace Gyaru no matter how hard she tries
Makes me think back to Pink Bitch Club when she's in the dark room alone - I thought it was an artistic choice like in manga, but it really adds on when you realize her eyes aren't naturally sparkly as well.
I think it goes to show that nobody can replace Gyaruko, no matter how much Minako tries.

So replaying the video several times and studying their dialogue and facial expression's here's my thoughts and theories!
Looking at Minako's section, it's interesting to note that her dialogue doesn't start until after she's inserted her contact lenses. Assuming the dialogue is during a face-cam call, and likely their last conversation before the video Minako's Room, it shows that Minako's very conscious of not showing any 'ugly' or less than composed facial expressions. She uses contact lenses to hide her natural and yet unsettling dark blank eyes. Her expressions are minimal and restrained, her eyebrows don't furrow, her eyes don't squint, and she is always smiling delicately.
On the other hand, during Gyaruko's section, she's not afraid to pull an awkward expression while doing her mascara, does a funny little ">~

As someone who's been both Minako and Gyaruko, I can kinda understand what's going on here. First of all I think this is happening over the phone on a face call, and the bathroom incident happens afterward (in the auto-subtitles for English, Gyaruko asks Minako to come over to hang out, so it hasn't happened yet). Secondly I think the first half is how the call went in reality (how Gyaruko sees), and the second half is in Minako's mind (how she interpreted). The middle dialogue that is hard to make out is what was said in person in the bathroom.
In the first half, we can see how subtly guarded and insecure Minako is- she gets ready for the call by putting in contact lenses to hide her "flaws", meaning her dark, dead, blank eyes (and to look like her friend). She wants to impress her because she looks up to her, wants to be her and not be rejected. Gyaruko on the other hand is confident, likes Minako the way she is and sees her as an equal. So Gyaruko has no problem showing off the "imperfect" or goofy faces she makes when doing makeup, along with her energy and personality quirks. It's hard to understand, but the middle dialogue seems like maybe in person Gyaruko realized Minako was trying too much to be like her, and said they should "play together in moderation", so Minako would go back to being the girl she used to be. But Minako takes this VERY hard, as if she's being rejected. The second half Minako has Gyaruko acting how she thinks she personally acted in order to get "rejected" (very over the top cutesy, a little hyper, and desperate for approval). Minako has herself acting how she THOUGHT Gyaruko felt towards her - aloof, visibly irritated, and maybe a little disgusted? Overall I think she wishes she were the cool friend, and to know what it's like to have someone else jealous and try very hard.

(If you're interested, I believe in the theory that, after killing "the real" Gyaruko, Minako created an other Gyaruko in her mind (and the other members too), so this are for me two different calls but the first was before the murder and the second after, that's why the character's looks changed--> in the first one, Minako looks and sounds more natural and cute, while in the second she's cool and really confident, and Gyaruko looks way brighter in the second call... I think that because of some events that happend between both calls, Minako's personnality simply changed, she became darker, and because in the second part it isn't the real Gyaruko anymore but a fictionnal one, the second is more expressive and bright, the roles kinda switched between them!)

Is anyone else realizing that Gyaru has naturally orange eyes, but Minako needs to put in colored contacts in the same shade? It shows that Minako is so attached to her friend that she’s even emulating her sparkly eyed look.
Although, personally, I feel like Minako’s feelings of envy aren’t just that she wants to look like Gyaruko, or even that she wants to BE Gyaruko, but that she WANTS Gyaruko. The creator confirmed that Gyaruko is straight, and, given this creator’s emphasis on relationships between girls, and Minako’s obsession with Gyaruko’s life, perhaps Minako has an infatuation with Gyaruko.
I think often in LGBT people, myself included, a lot of conflicting feelings tend to arise when they develop romantic feelings, especially among women; we are taught to compete against other people of the same gender as us and to fight to not be unappealing (usually to men). So a girl having a crush on another girl, who is usually appealing in many ways, end up with cognitive dissonance. Is it love, or is it envy at what they have? Do you want to love them or do you want to be them?
I think this feeling of envy mixed with infatuation will be why Minako is the way she is. She hates that Gyaruko’s style is so striking, yet craves it for herself, and, wants to kill her to get her out of the picture; even yet, she wants to be WITH Gyaruko, and obsesses over her every word and action not just out of a desire to act it out, but to adoringly remember her obsession’s words.
Minako isn’t driven by plain old envy, but a mix of insecurity and infatuation.
That's a cool theory but l feel like the creator woundn't want to give the LGBTQ+ community "a bad rep" because this kind of stuff kinda controversial. Still l think that this is a really creative theory ^_^

I agree! Although, I don’t think it’s necessarily giving LGBT+ people a bad rep: a lot of Vivinos’ work involves WLW and horror, either as the subject or as the one being scary, and manages to do it in a tasteful way. I don’t think it’s bad to bring a highlight to a relatable feeling, even if it’s a toxic one. It might be controversial, but, at least as a WLW myself, I don’t see why it’s a topic that shouldn’t go unaddressed. I think Vivinos’ channel is almost the perfect place to address something like that, especially since she’s LGBT herself.
That being said, my theory could be completely incorrect. I don’t mean to act as if I’m right, because no one but the artist can confirm that.

Minako is obsessed with everything about Gyaruku. She loves her look, her attitude, basically everything that makes her…her! But this evolves into some sort of love (obsession with who she is), but she’s also jealous because she wants to be her. In the part of the video when Gyaruku’s face is blocked out and glitches are happening, she says “this relationship is getting a little tiring, why don’t we hang out less from now on?” Making Gyaruku is now unsettled by how much Minako is involved with her.
In the last frame of Gyaruku after the glitches, she says again (like she and Minako did before), “we’re friends aren’t we?” Looking panicked. As if she was trying to convince *someone* (Minako) they really were friends and she didn’t have to do something. Could this be when Minako killed her? Or is she trying to stop her from harming their other friends? Most likely the first but it’s a theory so y’know, gotta lay out all the possibilities you know.
In all, Minako is definitely jealous and obsessed with Gyaruku at the same time.
That’s Minako saying that they should end the relationship. This also points at jealousy & wanting to “replace” Gyaruko?
I think that the distorted part wasn't Gyaruko's words. I can't hear her VA their, I'd say that it was most likely Minako's VA.

Ah, so Minako is imitating Gyaruko, cause y'know from past animations involving these two (Namely, Minako's Room? if i can recall correctly) where Minako slowly turns into Gyaruko (idk how to word that correctly , its been a while since i watched the other videos), and there's something about Minako killing Gyaruko and stuff so yeah connect the dots
Other than that, Minako's motives into eliminating her friends, is because shes probably jealous of them for being more unique, style and personality-wise, hence, the stealing of identities, imitating and eliminating/killing them
[Edit] notice how in the first half Minako's expressions are different from the last part after Gyaruko's part, that's her trying to imitate Gyaruko but it's still has hints of how she would say the phrases herself, after Gyaruko's part, her expressions when repeating the phrases are more similar to Gyaruko now, especially her tone and facial expressions

시선이나 제스쳐가 남이랑 대화하는 것 같은 갸루코에 비해 미나코는 유독 정면만 뚫어지게 봐서 더 그렇게 보임

I'm not really good with theories or smaller details but, I think the frame at 0:51 might have been how Minako tried to attack(?) Gyaruko at first before resorting to more violet measures. Also, the thought of them together, doing their makeup makes me think that they were in a bathroom, also the location where gyaruko was murdered..
Anyways that's the only thing I could interpret from it. Feel free to clarify anything else

1. I can't stop watching this! The gorgeous style and the creepiness of the repeated phrases is so mesmerizing!
2. I don't actually think Minako is talking to Gyaruko here. I think Gyaruko's scenes are the day of her murder, and Minako's are a day or so after, when she's reminiscing about and imitating Gyaruko's speaking patterns. As if now that she's gone, Minako can fully replace her. To me that's even creepier to think she's casually doing her dress up routine while mimicking her friend's last words remorselessly.

I love how, even if you didn't know about the story, you can clearly tell Minako is imitating Gyaruko and failing to achieve her original charm. Lines like "This is so cute!" or "Damn, I'm hungry" sound completely different. If you rewind once you've heard Gyaruko say it, you can tell Minako's tone is emptier and less genuine - a copy.

I find it so freaking amazing how expressive and subtle their expressions are and even body movements. Big kudos to the voice actors for hitting all those subtle nudges! Big inspiration for animation.

이거 다시보니까 처음에 부담스럽다 멀어지자 하는 부분이 예전에는 갸루코 인가 했는데 지금 다시보니 미나코 같음(목소리도 미나코 톤) 다른 뮤비를 보면 과거에 갸루코는 동료들한테 배신당하고 쓰러진 갸루코를 미나코가 구해줌으로써 인연이 됐고 친구가 된 것같음 문제는 갸루코에겐 남은 친구라곤 미나코밖에 없었을거고 친구의 배신이 트라우마로 남아서 미나코를 구속하고 집착했을 수도 있다는 생각이 듬… 너만은 배신하면 안돼 우린 둘도 없는 친구잖아 너가 어떻게 나한테 그래? 매번 이런 식이면 성인군자도 아니고 귀찮고 짐덩이라고 느껴지지 미나코도 부담스러워 졌을거임 영상 초반에 비해 점점 대충 대답하는 모습을 보면 갸루코를 귀찮아하는 것같은 모습을 예측할 수 있음 갸루코도 이걸 느끼면서 점점 불안감을 느끼면서 0:59 같은 말을 한거고 그러다가 미나코가 0:38을 말하면서 시간을 가지자고 하지만 0:48(공포주의)을 보면 받아들이기 힘들었던 모양.. 이거 알고보니까 갸루코가 너도 죽고 나도 죽자 하는 맘으로 죽이려다가 역으로 미나코한테 실수로 살해당한게 아닌가.. 그 죄책감에 자살한거고 다른 친구들도 미나코는 가벼운 마음에 선의를 배풀고 친구가 된건데 억압하고 가스라이팅 한거지 이걸 참다못해서 우발적인지 아닌지는 모르지만 살해했고 죄책감에 시달리던 미나코는 자살.. 로봇은 인터넷에서 만난 친구고 샤를로테는 사이비에서 탈출? 해서 만난 것같기도 하고 이렇게 해석하니까 미나코가 불쌍한데..? 일단 갠적인 해석임
좀 다른 해석이긴 한데 미나코랑 갸루코가 좀 상하관계?? 같은게 있었을 것 같음 왕따거나 음침했던 미나코를 갸루코가 놀아'준' 관계가 아니었을지... 처음엔 갸루코가 멋있어서 갸루코처럼 되고싶었지만 둘 사이에는 계속 상하관계만 쌓여가다가(갸루코가 우린 친구지?라면서 무리한 부탁을 한다던지) 감정이 폭발했을 것 같음
자신을 헤치려 드는 미나코가 그제서야 두려워져서 우리 친구지? 라고 다시 묻는듯한 마지막 본인파트의 갸루코와 그걸 보고 한심해하는듯한 마지막 미나코의 우리 친구지 같은 느낌?
이분 그림체 볼때마다 쾌감 느껴진다 걍 갸루 여고생 마법소녀 끝판왕.. 키라키라 넘 조아
I found that Minako is actually trying to do an impressionation of Gyaruko, trying to repeat the same lines in the way she does. In the end it sounds more awkward and Minako fails at acting like her - her voice isn't as genuine as Gyaruko's in the same lines. I took a while to listen to it and even the Minako's movements are emotionless, effortless compared to Gyaruko's, when her facial expressions change a lot and Minako is expressiveless
The way the both repeat “we’re friends right?” Implies they might not have been as close as they wanted to be.
@@Crazygamergal When Minako says it, it comes off as a bit clingy, like she's looking for assurance. Gyaruko says it in more of a "It's fine, we're friends" way, like she's assuring Minako that she's her friend (then said again in fear as she's seemingly pleading for her life). Minako's clinginess may have been the reason Gyaruko wanted to step back from their relationship.
@@teapartypenguin1353 the thing is… the person who asked to step back from the relationship was minako. Hearing minako talk about stepping back while gyaruko repeats “we’re friends rights?” Is quite bizarre 🤔
