I love how everyone thought that Ivan will be manipulative but he's actually just sad and under pressure, while Luka who's was thought to be under pressure turns out to be this manipulative monster. I absolutely love this, another great job from Vivinos.
On the contrary, I think Luka's a manipulative monster BECAUSE he's under so much pressure. He's so desperate to survive that he learned to manipulate others, and that's why he keeps winning. You can't win multiple seasons of Alien Stage without being cutthroat!
I did expect Ivan to have Luca's personaility now that you mention it. But, both Ivan and Luca are great at masking emotions (which is why they're so good at these contests).
I guess in some way, Luka's song does show the stage of bargaining in grief. "I'm in this deadly game, but as long as I make the other person lose, it will be okay."
Most fun part of this is how violent his singing feels, like it's a romantic song a serenade but with the situation they're in, while she stands there frozen and he sings with so much passion he is basically killing her, sealing her fate, and you expect the whole time for her to attack back in the same way, like deciding she needs to win for Sua she will hopefully sing with force and drown him out. But instead she uses actual violence, it looks less pretty it's not what the aliens paid for, she's not trying to win the system where she's not even a Real player in, she just beats the shit out of him. And I think that's iconic I hope she gets to commit more violence somehow

OKAY, SO I HAVE A THEORY. While listening to Luka's cover of Sweet Dream it occured to me that, while he's definitely manipulating Mitzi here... that might not be a bad thing, or for cruel reasons. First off, the whole idea of him trying to make Mitzi snap for an "easy win" is inherently flawed. Luka is *popular.* He already has fans, and probably had this win in the bag before he even stepped on stage. Secondly- As Till proved, attacking, or even *killing* your opponent doesn't disqualify you. Hyun-A backed out at the last minute, so it's not like contestants can't be replaced. So getting Mitzi to attack him doesn't accomplish anything if his goal is just "to win." So... if that isn't his goal, what is? Why taunt her, why provoke her? Simple. Fight or flight. This song is *barely* a duet. Luka's singing just about every part, and it's not because he's overriding Mitzi, he's clearly trying to involve her, make her part of the show, but she's barely interacting. Watch her expressions in the first minute. She's dead-eyed, on auto-pilot, only showing any emotion when imagining Sua, and lashes out at Luka whenever he snaps her out of it. Mitzi isn't trying to win. Mitzi is trying to be with Sua. Mitzi is trying to die. Luka's entire goal... is to piss her off and make her want to live. To fight back. He's not smiling because he made her snap- he's smiling because when the guards showed up, *she fought back.* She struggled, she screamed, she through dignity to the wind and tried to escape. And the moment she does, Hyun-A appears and provides that escape, exchanging a look with Luka before disappearing into the smoke. Luka's a previous winner. One shown to be fairly uncaring of his fame or status. I think the only reason he'd come back and risk his life again is either to go out in a blaze of glory, or to take down the show from the inside. Possibly both.
Till didn't attack or kill his opponent, he as a matter of fact decided to sing his own song as well as interrupting his opponent also stealing the spotlight for himself causing his opponent to be disqualified
@@evisl.w6552 it was confirmed by the animators that Till beat his opponent to death with his guitar. Hence the organs and eye flying off when the guitar was smashed apart. TH-cam means having to be a bit more alluded/metaphorical with on screen deaths. It was during one of the FAQ streams if you want to listen to the whole interview yourself.

i never noticed the detail that at 0:25 when mizi is introduced, the cheering isn’t as loud, but when luka is introduced right after, the cheering is much louder
Love how Luka’s eyes look so dull and dead despite his smile. How he dances with a blank expression like a puppet and light only shows in his eyes as he’s getting punched. Also Mizi is so absolutely gorgeous her angry expression just gave; how her eyes shine until she snaps and the light leaves. Amazing expressions.
I'll be honest, I like Luka's tactics. He learned his enemy's weakness, knowing that it'll make it easy for him to win because the person will either get sucked up with their emotion or thoughts. You can never make me hate this guy with his intelligence.
Luka has that tragic beauty. He really is a beautiful, talented singer but he’s become so apathetic due to how easily they can live or die. He makes sure to win the crowd and sing to survive but he also knows this is all borrowed time.

So it's not a typo... round 4 is already over. Luca won the 4th round against this person who is already dead (as seen at 0:16). Then Mizi fought Luka in the 5th round. It was a disqualification because Mizi hit Luka and interrupted the performance, after which the guard tried to kill Mizi... but Mizi is still alive because Hyuna saved her

One thing I noticed at 2:39 is that he smiled the minute the guards came in to execute mizi. His entire goal was to provoke, and tease mizi by using her grief to trigger a reaction in order to secure an easy win.
Luka was definitely taunting Mizi, but I think another reason she attacks him is because he is so representative of the entire competition. He is the previous winner, and in the beginning she seems shocked and a little afraid when Luka spins her around and she can't avoid his gaze. She sees nothing there in terms of emotion. He might as well be another alien, with the way he powers through the song almost effortlessly. No regard for her mourning, his fellow trapped humans, no goals or aspirations outside of pleasing his masters. He is the opposite of playful, rule breaking Sua. Why should Luka, this cold, robotic creep, get to live when a beautiful soul like Sua had to die? I can almost see her thinking that before she snaps.
I love how throughout the "performance," you can see her struggle to sing back as it seems he's far too powerful, and it's like a dance of a predator and its prey, wanting to seize every chance but being overwhelmed, deciding to fight back only to snap out in anger for fear of losing it all. The rollercoaster of emotions, the fierce battle of will and determination, all of which made this video the masterpiece that it is.
At first I thought that Luka’s purple fingers are just part of his design (which is probably true), but today I found about Raynaud’s phenomenon. This problem causes decreased blood flow to fingers. I searched for some pictures and one of the forms of manifestations of this disease is very similar to Luka’s hands. Here’s some more information: “this happens due to spasms of blood vessels in those areas. The spasms happen in response to cold, stress, or emotional upset.” Luka looks very depressed sometimes, which can relate to “emotional upset” criteria. Probably he hides his emotions from other people
I remember I read Vivinos's post about "next round will be delay" something because the participant (the character themself) had some issued so we skip and directly go to Round 5. 루카 노래도 사랑하는 사람(현아)에 관한 노래라면 미지랑 현아 둘 한테 광역딜 넣는 진짜 미친놈인듯. 그냥 미지 조롱하나 싶었던 것도 현아 대입해서 생각해보면 어떻게든 같이 끌어내리고 싶어하는 광기가 느껴짐. 중간에 피흘리고 죽은 수아랑 그런 수아를 쳐다보는 미지를 보면 현우의 죽음이랑 그걸 쳐다본 현아랑도 겹침. 이런 음기캐가 없음. 규칙 속에서 날아간 새, 망상을 만들어 내는 환상같은 현아, 그 현아가 마음의 지배자인 루카, 빛을 등져도 된다거나 자기한테 다 맡겨도 된다고 하는거나 신, 별, 지배자 my world 뭐 이렇게 표현하는거 보면 자기 마음속에서 절대적인 현아를 자기 옆에 끌어내리고 싶은 마음+ 미지수아에 대해 가소로운 마음 둘 다 담은거 같기도. 근데 처음에 때렸을땐 아무렇지 않게 막더니 마지막에 맞는거 보면 맞은것도 퍼포먼스인듯 미친놈. .
I love how each contestants winning strategy is different and exposes their true nature: Round 1: Mizi tries to sing *with* her opponent in hopes of them both 'winning', showing that she has selfless goals in the competition. Round 2: Till wins by singing *over* his opponent and not giving him a chance, showing he's desperate to win and doesn't care how he does. Round 3: Ivan plays by the rules and sings *in turns* , because he knows he was better than his opponent and would easily crush him. Round 5: luka uses antagonism to make Mizi *disqualify herself* (maybe he knew he couldn't win fairly? Or was hoping she would be saved last-minute?) Even without dialogue, each characters' nature is so distinct based on their strategies and emotions during their song. I love this series so much so far
I'd personally like say: ROUND 2: It is likely that Till was not confident he would win, but his actions were definitely VERY influenced by his emotions. His song is extremely passionate and I think not ONLY is he trying to win, he's doing everything in his power to finally express himself to Mizi. We know Till is very timid around Mizi and I think he's taking advantage of his spotlight to say what he feels about Mizi, therefore he can't let anyone interfere (so that's why he didn't let the other contestant sing) ROUND 5: Luka had already won a previous round of ALNST, he's a FAN FAVOURITE. Not only that, Mizi was totally mentally unstable after Sua's death. Before Luka could even try nd mess with her, she already appears less confident and not very passionate about performing like she was in ROUND 1. I'd like to believe Luka knew he got all his fans wrapped around his fingers and maybe just WANTED Mizi to snap? It's possible he's just a full-on sadist lmao
(Updated Theories) Now that Hyuna's song is out, heres a long analysis on Hyuna and Luka! I put lil separations for each section to make it more readable. ------- Lukas song 1 First, that Luka's song was most likely directed at Hyuna. In community posts it says that he wrote the song before entering the competition (I explain why in the next section). Despite taunting Mizi, he probably didn't even really know her history (or the extent of her relationship) with Siu. This isn't to say he didn't taunt her, he most definitely did, but it was not as personal as we think. This is his second time in the competition, he's a famous and experienced performer, so he performed to win. But this doesn't mean the song was for or about Mizi, because he wrote it before he'd known any of them. Also, a lot of the composure he has comes from his experience with having won before. He knows how to work the crowd and give a good performance. But we can see that whenever he's in a shadow (where the aliens cant see his face) he has a stoic expression like in 1:14. He doesn't have any emotion towards Mizi, but because we're seeing Mizi reeling from Siu's death, it seems like he planned to get into her head more than he actually was. ------ Song Choices Each participant's MV and song choice so far is related to their past experiences and thoughts. Because the song was in Mizi's POV, we only saw who she was thinking of (Siu) while singing, not who Luka was thinking about. However, judging by how he's only paired with Hyuna in the songs and art, it's safe to say he was singing about her considering Hyuna's the only one who has a history with him in the garden. Also, since we were in Mizi's head this whole MV we didn't get to learn much about Luka. But after Hyuna's song, it feels like Luka is straight up saying his thoughts and desires towards her in this song. ------ Spoiler warning! Coming Back from Hyuna's song, we can now see more of how Luka objectifies and glorifies Hyuna, calling her his savior, beautiful, and the ruler of his heart. The rest of my analysis references Hyuna's song so go watch that! ------- Why Luka re-entered the competition It's clear that Luka loves Hyuna, and they possibly even have a relationship similar to Mizi and Siu considering they grew up together in the same way (and Luka is seen explicitly having romantic feelings towards her). Regardless of how he feels though, Hyuna is on the run, and is possibly avoiding Luka because of that traumatic event. Plus Luka is living the complete opposite life as her as a top celebrity. I feel like because he has no chance at possibly meeting her again, this is his reasoning for reentering the competition. In the community posts, it says he wrote his song intending to sing it in the competition, but no one knew why he wanted to reenter in the first place (despite them being happy to hear him sing, lol). It might be because it's his only way to get Hyuna to hear him. The competition has such a big range that even if she tried to ignore it, she wouldn't be able to. ------ Did Luka kill Hyunas Brother? Though I was quick to assume Luka was the one who killed Hyuna's brother, I saw another theory stating that Luka seemed hurt/beat up as well, and that Hyuna seemed conflicted (not angry OR sad), more like a child that did something wrong or saw something they weren't supposed to. Luka still COULD'VE killed him, though it feels unlikely considering the characterization so far. Luka is this small introverted child dragged along by the siblings while Hyuna's brother is strong enough to run while carrying her on his back. Another theory I expanded upon is that perhaps, to an older brother, the scene where Luka kisses Hyuna was more of a scene where Luka was forcing himself onto Hyuna. Because of this, he might've confronted Luka, explaining why Luka looked beat up as well. If Hyuna stepped in to pull them apart, accidentally causing her brother to fall on the rock and die, it would explain why she stood there shocked by her actions. It also feels like a better explanation to Luka smiling at her than him just being a "crazy yandere". Sure he might be off in the head, but her defending him might've felt like a reciprocation of his feelings, and like she was saving him from getting beat up. If Lukas love for Hyuna is the same as Mizi's love towards Siu, especially considering how they grew up together, I'm not surprised that he called her his "savior" along with all his other compliments. And if the theory of Hyuna accidentally killing her brother is true, then Luka feeling like she saved him from that adds another layer to the lyrics (though I won't entirely discount him killing the brother himself). ------ Though, if the theory that he did kill her brother is right, I'd definitely say he objectifies her since, despite committing the act, Hyuna states in her song that Luka probably doesn't feel like he did anything wrong. He's still trying to get her to come back to him in this possessive way. He isn't seeing or caring about her feelings, he only cares that he wants her for himself. ------ Lukas song 2 Going off now what we know about Luka and Hyuna's relationship, a lot of the lyrics in Ruler of My Heart become clearer. Though the song isn't in his POV, the song is like an explicit declaration of his thoughts and desires about Hyuna. If he can't see her (considering that she's keeping her distance), it's as if he's letting her know that he still loves her and that she burns brighter than the sun, kind of like how Mizi had that whole Monologue about how she worshipped Mizi in her Clematis song. ------ Lyric Analysis Honestly, he's more similar to Mizi considering both of them worshipped someone else in the garden. Mizi loved Siu, and Luka loves Hyuna Here is a lyric analysis and examples of Lukas obsession/delusions of love directed towards Hyuna: Lyric analysis below: 0:45 - Hes calling Hyuna his Star, honestly same lol 0:53 - Hyuna would have sad eyes considering the incident of her brothers death 0:56 - (My savior, beautiful soul) Idolizing Hyuna, similar to how Mizi worshipped Siu by calling her their savior 1:02 - (I dont believe... youre a liar) Not believing Hyuna doesn't want to be with him, considering how much he wants her and how much everyone loves him (he's a super famous human pet in the lore) 1:05 - Believing that they belong together and that they both have this "darkness" inside them, when it's just him who's crazy. 1:11 - Offering to take away all her troubles 1:13 - Ruler of my heart, ruler of my heart~~ 1:18 - Calling Hyuna beautiful 1:29 - She has "endless walls" up around him, this because the incident around her brothers death, but also because Luka lives by playing into the hands of the aliens, while Hyuna isa rebel and goes against the system 1:48 - (Make me your God, I can give you anything!) Telling her to worship him, he could give her anything considering his fame at this point -----
Omg.... u r right, considering Hyuna's expression seeing her brother dead is just different from how someone would actually react if somebody kill their love ones (Hyuna loved her brother) and if Luka really killed her brother she could've killed him in the spot or before escaping from death the last season of Alien Stage (even in the garden) but she didn't took revenge. And yea the reason of him going back to Alien Stage could be Hyuna, the song describe many points of what happened in the garden and between em instead of Mizi stuff. In the end he was smiling when Mizi was beating him, maybe that was the scene of the fight he had with Hyuna's brother. With the letter of the song plus provoking Mizi, he had the intention of confessing to Hyuna what he feels (and even ask her out) and recreating everything that happened in the garden between em, making her remember they have history together that he will not going to forget even more their special moment. In short, what could have happened was that when Luka kissed Hyuna (her necklace changed color since in theory necklaces turn red when the human experiences strong and unstable emotions) she most likely told her brother to vent cuz she could be in shock and he got angry because Luka messed with his sister which he took as betrayal and went to confront Luka, then if we add that they fought and Hyuna intervened but accidentally caused the death of her brother everything is clear with both expressions. An important point is that it is seen that the brother has more blows than Luka, so in the end Luka did fight for Hyuna's love brutally, and when Hyuna intervened and caused what happened to her brother, Luka smiled because he could think that she did it to defend the love between them and that she feels something but doesn't show it (Like she in denial)

There’s so much to unpack in this round, but one thing for sure is that you can really feel the divinity in this song when Luka starts singing, and it is so incredibly fitting-even the way their voices overlap when they sing together has an alluring enchantment to it that solidifies that. Such a great round
I dunno about divinity, but he definitely sounds alluring, like a siren that sings to their audience to their doom and death, which definitely fits Luka. The voice actor did a really good job at protraying that type of character in the singing alone.
gosh, the way he says " my savior , *beautiful lady* " is so hot also when the lady sang a higher pitch is so enchanting . my fav part is 0:55 1:43 1:52 especially 1:56 because damn , i love it when women goes psyc ! prolly my fav song and episode in this series so far . Everything is just so intense and sexy
Just some thoughts I had. The dynamic between Mizi and Luka was executed so masterfully, that the music and visuals alone are enough to gauge exactly what is going on between the two characters. They are stark contrasts in the way their movements are animated, which acutely expresses just what they are feeling and the power imbalance between them. This is ironic given that they are dressed so similarly with the intent to “match”. Mizi can’t stomach replacing her real lover with a man who is so eager in playing the role of her lover, solely for the sake of self preservation. It’s uncomfortable as Luka uses this to torture Mizi psychologically. Luka is swift and graceful in his movements, whilst Mizi is almost robotic as she struggles to keep up with him. The way Luka is so sensual and intimate in his movements is so unsettling. He moves in a way that’s close enough to provoke a reaction out of Mizi, but withdraws at random moments, making him eerily unpredictable on stage. Especially in the scene where he circles Mizi, he’s close, but not close enough to break her. Rather, he surrounds her, entrapping her in a rhythmic taunt. The animation becomes really fluid in the most climactic moments, where Luka grabs Mizi’s waist, pulling her into such an oppressive waltz. Mizi’s head hangs from her neck as her expression remains stunned, yet unable to express it properly. Luka sways and bounces into Mizi’s personal space. She is powerless to his advances, throughout the sequence her expression remains wide eyed, as if harbouring a distress that is seconds away from bursting out of her. The way Luka always initiates first is so invasive and I love it. He’s such a manipulative motherfucker in that, the audience cannot understand him other than the fact that he wants to win, and he intends to do it maliciously. We don’t know his motives or insecurities, only that he is a cunning bastard who’s able to dazzle an audience. His eyes contrast Mizi’s so much. His are half-lidded, unbothered, super cunning as he so fluidly expresses this false desire to his co-star. Mizi’s eyes are intense. They are unwavering in that her pupils are blown and unmoving, she’s staring into something that isn’t there, Sua. She doesn’t have the mental fortitude to comprehend what’s happening, but it’s not up to her. When Mizi breaks, the power dynamic doesn’t shift. Ironically, she’s the one beating Luka to a pulp, yet he doesn’t crack an expression that suggests he’s lost. He’s either neutral, smiling, or smirking, adding this layer of uncertainty around him which I find really compelling. I find it compelling because he unsettles me, he provoked not only a reaction from Mizi, but the audience. Luka carried himself on stage with such an air of insincerity, he was so enthusiastic in his performance that it really drew the line between he and Mizi’s character. Despite her situation, Mizi physically cannot perform with Luka, her devotion and emotions are too real to allow her to function. This doesn’t apply to Luka, he can so boldly touch her, in ways that scream “I WANT YOU SO BAD” but it’s far from that. He lies with his movements. This shows how callous he is, to which he smothers Mizi, teases her as he so gleefully takes the rightful role of Sua. I just love how they be dancin
It was written in the official twitter of Alien Stage, in the interview with luka, that he composed this song for hyuna(the brown haired, brown skinned, grey eyed girl).
I think the reason Mizi began to breakdown and remember Sua from Luka is because some of the lyrics from this song parallel and/or contrast the song in the 1st round, Clematis. Like how in the climax of round 1, Mizi calls Sua "My God, My Universe", while here, Luka sings to Mizi to "Make me your God" and calls her "My savior", which obviously seems to be mocking how Mizi called Sua her god. The lyrics here also say "My world is collapsing", again mocking Mizi calling Sua "My universe". Because Universe and world are kind of synonymous. He is even grinning while watching Mizi sing this line in distress. This might be a reach but Luka also sings "The endless walls, a fall with no ground.... .....I go blind and deaf", while in Clematis, Mizi sings about finding Sua with her "scent". The lyric specifically is "In the endless darkness, I find you with your scent" They're interconnected in some way. Both about being lost in a void and losing all senses in nothingness, but while Luka's lyric is more tragic as it is followed by the lyric "My world is collapsing". His lyrics can be interpreted as "I can't see you and hear you anymore, what is the point of living when I can not love you?" While Mizi's is sweet in the sense that it's like "Even in the darkness where I can not see and hear you, I love you so much that even your scent is enough for me to find my way back to you." Also in relation to the aforementioned lyric, "In the endless darkness, i find you with your scent", it may also be referenced by the lyric in this song, "Our darknesses overlap, let me take it all away." Because the moment that this lyric is sung, it shows imagery of Sua disappearing again. It could be referencing the clematis lyric in the sense that "let me take it all away" refers to the scent in the darkness, so basically taking away the only thing mizi can remember sua by. So now she is left with darkness and nothing to lead her way. And there's the fact that he's acting seductive around her when she had just watched her lover die infront of her eyes, I'd be pissed too lol

Yeah, I very much think Luka knew how the events would play. So he had to play "the bad guy" in order to get Mizi to lash out and hit him to give Hyuna the moment to come in and take her. The song and actions were made to make Mizi snap. He plays the role of the antagonist to test Mizi's faith, point out her pain, and even insinuating to just give in and give up as he is her "God" all to get Mizi scared and angered. He stares off at Hyuna's rebellion blankly knowing this game of playing with lives might come to an end soon...but since he's won last alien stage and possibly more, he has to be the one to stay behind in a self righteous sacrifice for all in this moment and not go with the rescue team. A plan I'm sure he chose as Hyuna looks back in possible respect but also feeling bad for the role he decided to take. Can't wait for the rest.

@@prnc96 I just think he is a good guy only because during the singing, he does at times side eye her without that cocky grin (as if watching her concerned) but when Mizi glances at him, he soon turns away and grins cocky again when he knows she's watching. I just think the momentarily blank stares or him grabbing her from slapping him in song but not looking at her in that moment is to show her "Hey, I'm trying to help you here" but Mizi doesn't get it. But you may be right. He might be to cold-hearted at this point from previous stages, the morbid kissing of the corpse, and his song seeing him as God is probably and truly a bad trait he has and there is a darker ill intent behind him. He may really think he is God himself at this point because he ultimately holds everyone's lives in his hand. Since he's the one that has killed a lot to present time. "Looks like an angel. But is Lucifer in disguise". Or he represents death himself. Either role he plays, good or bad, I will still like those turn of events.

Me and my husband have been watching these, and we have a bit of a crazy theory. Neither of us think Mizi is dead, and we'd been assuming that those people dragging her away were working for Alien Stage, taking away the "body", but then we had the thought, what if they are rebels. With the mist, the lack of blood, and it being what seems to be Hyuna, another contestant, dragging Mizi away, we're theorizing that whoever this is took the opportunity to swoop in, take down the guards, and spirit Mizi away. Add that to the "ERROR MIZI MISSING" message at the end, I think its safe to assume Mizi is both not dead, and is now involved with whatever this mysterious group is. So excited for more!

Edit: theory is updated in replies Yeah no, Lukas is DEFINITELY working with Hyuna. Notice his calm reaction to what is literally a human rebellion swooping in, taking out guards, and helping Mizi out of there. He seems relieved, and it's apparent that he knows who Hyuna is and vice versa. To support this, we know Lukas is a very calculated person, a solved rubik's cube in round 3 and his interview highlighting that he prepared ahead for unexpected outcomes. Also notice how it also mentions that Lukas took it pretty easy after his first Alien Stage competition. It's almost like he left to plan some sort of scheme and now he's back to set it into motion. Contrary to some of the theories, I don't think he meant to piss Mizi off, he seemed really surprised he got attacked. The song came off as persuasive, saying things like "you're the perfect subject" and "you're my savior" which could mean that she is the key to ending this Alien Stage competition somehow, and she says that he's lying. I think he's just bad at talking to people, because again the song says "Let me be your God, I'll give you everything" - he's saying that he should replace Sua (who was referred to as Mizi's God) and he'll give her what she wants. He wants Mizi to trust him the way she trusted Sua. Their darknesses overlap, they now have the same goal - to end Alien Stage. You can tell Mizi just wanted to be with Sua, not necessarily win the game or end it. Now while it might be "logical" for him to say that, you can see how furious she is at the thought he could replace Sua. Mizi would never have won against him even if she wanted to, as he's one of the best competitors featured on Alien Stage (Lukas Interview). So she was bound to die. He saw that her hopelessness and anger is what the rebellion needed. He smiled at 2:39 because even though everything didn't go to plan, he still got what he wanted. He prepared for the unexpected, and Mizi was saved by the rebellion. Quick edit: I'm debunking one of the floating theories in the comments. Rather than a flashback to Lukas' first love dying in his first Alien Stage tournament, I think it's just showing how round 4 went. Notice how the corpse has that same short, spiky-brown hair as his round 4 competitor. Hyuna has long straight hair. It's almost like he's thanking his competitor. Don't worry guys, Lukas is just a little unhinged. It's his charm.

The one pic where Hyuna seems like she's trying to stab Luka, and Luka's got his eyes closed as he smiles. Was that image a showcase of a previous season of ALNST where they faced off and Hyuna somehow survived? Or is Hyuna somehow going to come at Luka in an attempt to kill him? What even is the relationship between those two???? In few of the artworks, it also shows Hyuna acting like a big sister to Till. Is she older than all of the contestants? If she was close to Till, then maybe that's why Till was so shocked??? Forgive me for overanalyzing but I am LOST 💀🙏
Luka is absolutely gorgeous and I looked up his official profile and he’s 30?? It makes sense bc he apparently won a season of alien stage before but holy I didn’t expect the age gap from everyone else who are 20 something, but now it makes sense that we never see hyuna and Luka’s childhood pictures together with the rest, hyuna is 27 and luka 30, the aliens probably keep these humans separated by age..
we DO see them together as kids though, at the garden they are all practicing together and appear to be roughly the same age. i'm guessing they retconned it after the first few rounds or something because luka is also very clearly meant to be as young if not younger than the others up until promotional material for this round came out.

2:12-2:22 probably one of my favorite part of the video. The distortion and the hazy effect, if you check out Vivinos older stuff, you can see shes just a genius at that shaky and sort of haunting imagery where you can’t tell reality from mind (which is so fuxking cool oh my god it was like we were PUT in Luka sight when Mizi inner demon came out lol). But I especially LOVE how the instrumental acts as a stand in for Luka scream as he’s being chocked, like the screen visibly fucking shakes and everything. It so small but just goes to show how much Vivinos and their team cares about their craft😭😭😭 I love this series, like it’s a given that music and visuals are a tandem pairing but just this web series is such a masterclass in exceeding the limits of combing the two mediums. Music plays a storytelling role as well as a PRACTICAL one. Someone needs to do a video essay on this.
I swear Hyuna (though we haven't seen her fully yet) and Luka just exude another level type of aura. They're like a veteran to this game. I kept having the impression that Luka was saying "This is how you play the game" to Mizi the whole time. I felt like he's deliberately trying to make Mizi sees Sua in him as if saying that "You have your weakness written all over your face" and proceeds to show you just how that weakness could be used against her, and by the time Mizi lose her control, he already made his point. Aaaaa can't wait to see more of him!

Theories I'm seeing and jotting down: 1.) It has been stated that Luka won the last competition of ALNST. This is a flashback to when he won that. 2.) Hyuna was supposed to be competing in Round 4, but A.) She is on the run from the aliens B.) She killed herself (explaining the teaser) C.) Something else is up with her, so they skipped/delayed this round. Some people theorize that the community post Vivinos posted is about Round 4 and Hyuna. 3.) The number 4 is seen as a number representative of death in some cultures, therefore a lot of people exclude this number. That's why Round 4 was excluded and Round 5 is basically Round 4 (and we're carrying on with the regularly scheduled programming). 4.) Typo Edit: I didn't expect this comment to blow up lol. But a lot of people think these are my theories, so just to clarify they ARE NOT mine. This was just a recap of what others stated. Also, I don't think this is accurate anymore, because I wrote this before the premiere. However, this time I have my OWN theory/retelling. It ties a bit to theory #2. Hyuna is on the run from the aliens because she is a vigilante who is against this mess. Whether she escaped from the aliens or she was never in the competition is unclear. What I believe happened is that Hyuna and her group of rebels forced themselves in and saved Mizi. When the aliens pull Mizi away after she beat up Luka, you see these robotic-like guards. ( 2:49 ) They prepare to shoot Mizi, yet this never happens. ( 3:02 ) We cut to the scene where the audience and Till are shocked. (This is either because this is where Hyuna appears or they are still shocked that Mizi would do this to Luka.) Now when Luka was beaten, his face was bloody, not bruised. ( 2:36 ) It is proven that they probably broke in and caused a huge physical impact, because Luka is bruised here. He also gets up very grogily and looks like he's going to pass out from the impact. (3:25) At this point, there is hooded figures hiding themselves in the smoke (they probably threw in a smoke bomb or something), not the robotic ones. The rebels leave with Mizi in tow, therefore saving her.
That is a really good theory, but I honestly think that the dead girl is Sua, still dead in the stage. Because then we can see how Sua is in the background so maybe Luka had something with her. He probably liked her. Edit: Im here after you edited the comment and I agree with your theory lol

You know what's beautiful ? The first time Mizi sings is exactly at 1:00, she starts to lose control at 2:00... Exactly at the middle of the video. She's "killed" (i hope not) almost at 3:00. The directing itself of the clip is stunning, every minute is a lil story. This, is why Alien Stage is so powerful. Good story, good characters, good animation, good direction.
mizi isnt dead, you can see in the end that before she could get killed a smoke bomb goes off and humans save her. Apparently one of the supposed singers was saving her so im confused how they werent on the game. But yeah mizi is okay

That's probably why she was looking at Luka with a side eye at the end. She seems like more a big sister/teacher or something of this ALNST. Her art with Till seems to prove that.

THEORY TIME LET"S GOOOO Okay so, based on the opening, I think that Luka's partner died in the previous season and he's determined to win, judging by how he likens Mizi to a star and himself to the sun. he seems to be trying to convince her to give up. It's obvious he's dead inside, showing no emotion even as he prowls around Mizi and puts on this elaborate performance, so I think he' acts as a foil to Mizi. Both lost their world, their saviors, in this horrible game, but while Lukas knows he wants to win regardless of the cost, Miziz is struggling to find the will to win without her love, especially as Lukas continues to taunt her and she's forced to be a spectacle for these aliens' sick amusement, dressed up like a doll to match a person she has nothing but loathing for and judging by Lukas's smile at the end , he was singing like that to make her act out, to provoke her so she would hit him and in doing so ensure her death and his win. ADDENDUM: Judging by how much he smirks at Mizi as she visibly breaks down, but always keep a princely face to the audience, it's possible that he won the previous alien stage by manipulating the audience by adopting a princely persona; doing the equivalent of making himself out to be a harmless, angelic, and princely being to be doted on by the "superior" aliens. He's enjoying her suffering and knows that the more he provokes her, the more her own facade cracks and her chances and winning plummet. THEORY 2: Hyuna and Lukas are working together. As Mizi is about to be shot, a lot of smoke covers the stage and we see humans fighting the security guards, and Lukas no longer looks as aggressive or hostile as he was earlier. Just a calm, blank gaze as he makes eye contact with the interloper rescuing Mizi who looks strikingly like Hyuna. Considering that round 4 was "delayed" due to Hyuna going AWOL, it's possible that Hyuna left and returned with reinforcements and She and Lukas plotted to make Mizi act out, which would cause enough pandemonium to allow Hyuna and her forces to break in. It would make sense as it's implied that Lukas's lover died in the previous alien stage, so he would know first hand the rage, suffering, and misery that awaits the other contestants if they win. OTHER NOTEWORTHY THINGS: Mizi looks nothing like herself onstage, and that shows how much Sua's death has affected her, like she lost part of her soul. She only begins to resemble her original self when she lashes out at Lukas. when Lukas says "our darknesses overlap" he's most likely referring to their shared experiences Ivan is not seen ONCE in the whole video. He could just be chilling in his own pod like Till, just out of sight. He could be hanging out with his sponsor, playing nice with "fans", OR he could have been working with the rebellion behind the scenes, since Round 3 shows that he had enough power/knowledge to be able to free Till and himself when they were younger, and that could remain true to this day Lukas's stage has multiple platforms and floating stairs stretching high into the arena. I think it's meant to symbolize how far Lukas has climbed, standing atop of the corpses of his fellow humans to stand above the rest. Which would especially be striking since Mizi is relatively motionless throughout this round, seeming to lack to will to dance or even step around Lukas (especially considering that she's wearing a VERY cumbersome looking dress that drags along the floor, kinda like chains) Also the stage has a spine in the background? Maybe it's because a lot of the imagery of Lukas is white and ethereal so throwing the spine in there puts the connotation of death and decay alongside the cold light of his moon to really push how dangerous he is and his two-faced nature. after all, he has a ribbon around his neck and is referred to as "prince" so to the aliens he's like a cute Pomeranian, but underneath his mask he's willing to use dirty tricks to secure his victory It's likely Mizi was bound to lose from the beginning. From 1:44-1:50 we see that the stands are FILLED with aliens wearing purple masks to show their support for Lukas and the entire arena is lit up by purple as he looks back at Mizi. It's almost like he's telling her "there's no way you can win" AND ANOTHER THING the contestant Lukas does go up against has black hair (both at 0:06 and 0:14 ), in the Alien Stage intro video, we see a black haired child run behind Hyuna and her turning to look at him, implying a connection. Maybe that person was important to Hyuna and Lukas beat them in Alien Stage, causing their death and Hyuna's hatred towards him. Or maybe she just hates him because he's playing the game to win as opposed to trying to rebel against it idk
I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY WITH YOUR SECOND THEORY or at least I just really hope that they're finding a way to get out of this killing system 😭 I also wanna add just to make the entire reinforcement thing more clear, that the white soldiers seems to be the one that work for the aliens but at the end when we see Luka having eye contact with Hyuna, 3:28 , one of them is laying on the ground and another one is being pushed by people in the same uniform as hyunas. I'm pretty sure they do NOT work for the aliens

This song is great... and so wicked! You can clearly see how right from the start Luka tries to taunt Mizi, knowing that Sua's death definitely took a toll on her. He's set on playing the part of a seducer, when he's obviously aware that Mizi just lost the one she loved (at 1:28 the image of Sua singing in her white dress is literally right begind him while he towers over Mizi), taking advantage of that weakness, barely giving her a chance to "sing back" to him : most of the lyrics are sung by him, and when it's supposed to be Mizi's turn, she seems completely dazed, out of it... most of the time, that is. What's even more unnerving is the fact that this song, a "romantic duet" on the surface, is nothing but a cruel parody of Sua and Mizi's duet -- like, almost every freaking line references their performance, to the point where it's almost physically painful for me (let alone for Mizi 😢). The tenderness and sincerity in 'My Clematis' are replaced here by the aggressive undertones beneath the appearance of "courtship", and rather than a true duo, Luka takes control, both of the song and the space on the stage, dancing around an almost still Mizi, invading her personal space, confidently pacing the stage and mesmerising the public whereas she can't even maintain eye contact and seems hesitant when singing back. However he didn't think that he was playing with fire here, Mizi reacting in a way that he apparently didn't expect, fighting back physically rather than vocally, something he would probably expect from rebellious Till, but certainly not from sweet, tender-hearted, loving Mizi. But the signs were here from the beginning, even before she snapped, she was actively avoiding him when he was getting too close, pushing him away when he was trying to make her dance with him. Yet he continues to mock her, sure that victory is already his, until she does the unthinkable and fights back *for real*, leaving Till himself wide eyed. Even the "guards" didn't react immediately ,when they were so prompt to put down Till the moment his performance started to go awry. I really like how Luka is characterised here, it goes beyond what I was expecting from him haha. According to the few glimpses we had on the other songs and in Vivinos' artworks, I think he uses his dreamy, angelic appearance to cultivate a "pretty lover boy" image in order to gain popularity. I believe the scene at the begining is - despite a lot of other theories I've seen in the comments - simply him kissing the blood covered hand of his previous opponent, to lean further into that "tragic lover" role he's always playing. In truth, he is more cold and calculating, cunning and ruthless than he seems at first, but rather than hiding it completely with a sweet facade, he seems to play with that aspect of himself, giving him a predatory edge, the epitome of a wolf in sheep's clothing, all of this contrasting with the nonchalant/indifferent demeanour he displayed in his few appearances so far (God, this is some delicious stuff right here lol). He seems to believe that he can win this game they play with his intellect (kinda foreshadowed with him playing with a rubix cube at the end of round 3, I guess), and relies as much on his ability to read others and manipulate them, as on his attractiveness and singing talents, if not more. On a side note, Mizi is just gorgeous in this round, I'm literally obsessed gsjskavdjsk About the appearance of Hyuna at the end, and the glance Luka exchanged with her, I don't know what to say yet about it, except that the fact that she doesn't seem to be a participant in the competition is an exciting plot twist, and the "disappearance" of Mizi after being taken care of by her is promising 👀 (and made me feel relieved, I don't want her to die lol 😬😬😬... yet) edit: upon rewatching the video (yet again),I'm starting to think that Mizi snapping did not actually come as much as a surprise to Luka, and that it was what he planned from the start to get her eliminated (look at that smirk at 2:38 ), or at the very least it was one of the outcome he was aiming for. Either way, he was clearly expecting to win this round even before stepping on the stage
i loved reading your evaluation!! If I may, I'd love to add on to your words. I think that Luka certainly did not expect Mizi's violent reaction, but even so it was within his "calculations". The fact is, kind mizi, in her frenzy, took too long to finish the job. She was bent over him in a violent animal rage and I think she /could/ have killed him, but she didn't. She had her hands wrapped around his neck (Luka panicking!!) but she took them /off/ in order to beat his ass instead. Rewatching it, it even looks like she only had her hands around his neck in order to tackle him to the floor, because she goes for the punching so fast as soon as hes on the ground. It's all animated seamlessly into each other, but it matters. Mizi did not kill. I'll get back to this. I think Luka's style of winning is extremely aggressive towards other singers. He duets with love ballads (a very common topic for songs) in a way that pulls everyone into its flow. He already has fame built on his reputation as that tragic lover character -- so if anyone tries to match his love song, they're already in his area of expertise, served up to the slaughter. He promises to take all the pain away if they give into him, and he delivers on that by winning. If the contestants /dont/ go into his love song, then Lukas love looks one-sided and pitiful, still giving him the advantage. If they snap and fight back, then theyll be executed for breaking the rules, like Mizi almost was. It's an extremely smart way to play that corners others by prying trauma disguised as romance. (the only way I can see someone winning against him is with positive idealism instead of his showy romanticism, but with the way the aliens calculate worth in a song, even that's a toss up honestly) Furthermore, in the world, I'm sure humans being pets inhibits their ability to be in consenting relationships with other humans -- and Luka offers a love they cant have. There are so many angles to his strategy. He knows how far he wants to push his partners. After Mizi stops moving, he gives up pretending to her. His "emotions" turn off because theres no reason to corner her further. He even looks disappointed after a while that Mizi was so easy to conquer (especially when they reach the last arena and he turns around). You can see that in other ways too, like how he looks at her with disdain before smiling to the crowd. Mizi is a powerful singing force. Even when she's out of her mind and listless, she still has a singing presence! And lets not forget her almost perfect rating in round 1! I think Luka came on strong at the beginning because he saw her as a real threat. But Mizi was too vulnerable to counter Luka's trap. And for her not to counter him means shes just another "dead lover." It's not him, but Sua's dead body that puts Mizi over the edge. With all of this said -- Luka's tight strategy means he covered all his bases. The show's premise is to sing in order to stay alive. There are armed guards surrounding the whole stadium. Even if Luka pushes someone into a corner mentally, he's safe physically..... except, this time, he wasn't. I think there's genuine fear in his eyes when he's being attacked by Mizi. Something he didn't account for. And that smile... Luka's smile, when she's pulled away, means that she didn't kill him. She was listless and unshowmanlike the whole time, and attacked him -- she's done. He won. Even if they don't execute her for trying to kill him, she'll be executed because she's a loser. Luka was afraid, there was a setback, but ultimately, everything was within his calculations. That said... his genuine at-a-loss expression at the end is delicious. All of this said, I have a bonus headcanon that I subscribe to now: I think that Luka is famous because he has survived a past alien stage. This may or may not be true, but it's an interesting theory.
The way he's trying to make Mizi see Sua in him by imitating her gestures. Ohh. He's an actual bastard. I love it. 1:43 sums up what he felt about mizi for me. This whole performance is all just an act of the highest heist. Go get that bag luka. As to why he did all of this. That's the biggest question isn't it? I like this character and am looking forward to it.
Also it reads to me that being the previous winner, luka is mocking mizi's inability to adapt to the depraved demands the stage has set for them, but also envy her for still having humanity left in her. In a way, luka was a lonely idol endlessly trapped in this abusive cycle where he has to perform like a perfect doll while the aliens look on inside his cage with glee. From the way I see it, he's the one who actually wants to die and is seeking the perfect performer to do it.
Guys, round 4 happened in the beginning. The dark haired person who died was his opponent. At about 0:17 you can see another bracket and the light go dim. There’s also no way it could be a typo because it also says round 5 at the end + the bracket having no one shown in round 4. Now that that’s cleared, what doesn’t really add up is why the opponent AND luca’s pictures went dim.
if u look at the other's pictures, everyone's picture was dim on their first rounds. I think it was just a direction choice to only show their pics in their current round

This is such a fantastic video, and I think it deserves an extra analysation in the comments. When the video starts, we first see Luka get a louder round of applause from the audience, almost as if they appreciate him more for how predictable he is. The way he smirks and the flowiness of his outfit sort of show how carefree and obedients he is in the first scene as well. the whistle from him is an obvious taunt but even more interesting is the way he approaches and looks at Mizi before smiling - it's very analytical, not friendly or sympathetic at all, you can see it unnerves Mizi, because she turns away. Then we hear the lyrics. Luka clearly refers to himself as the sun, almost idolising himself. (yes I know the song is probably planned, but it's so perfect). Anyways, so this as well as Luka's very pale appearance with his blonde hair and eyes, make him seem both ghostly and 'bright' in a way. When Miki first starts singing, we hear how perfectly they harmonise together, and how elegant the song sounds with both of their voices, which paired with the animation of him circling her, gives us the impression that they fit together perfectly, despite us knowing that they definitely do not, and Luka is only there because it's planned and their opinions and behaviours completely oppose one another. We then see Mizi hallucinate Sua, and we begin to understand her attachment and trauma, as well as how desperate she is in her mind to keep Sua alive. The lyrics 'ruler of my heart' can sound romantic, but in context are very different, almost giving the deceased Sua ownership and dictatorship over Mizi's emotions. Then, Luka sweeps Mizi off of her feet. Now, here is an interesting scene. We see Mizi react to Luka's empty eyes, her astoundment at his playfulness, and we see him stop smiling for the first time, and the way he reacts to Mizi trying to hit him, quick and unbothered. He clearly has good survival instincts, but he doesn't use them, instead opting to be obedient, we see the extent of his sadness, the true nature of his being, the numbness behind his charm, and I, being new to this whole series, am astounded at how quickly and efficiently he can change emotions in accordance to who can see him. Mizi becomes accustomed to Luka's gaze now, looking him in the eyes properly, almost animalistically, locking sight unto him, and we see her shock and nerves disappear and fade into fury and a sort of wild emotion that's difficult to name. Then if you look closely, you begin to notice a change in Luka's behaviours. He doesn't smile when he isn't looking at the audience anymore, and depending on what you believe, he could either be stoic as he realises that he's going to win, and is getting that message across to Mizi, however, we could also theorise that he is trying to make her understand the futility of her struggle against the aliens and the oppurtunity of hope ahead. Mizi seems astounded at the volume of the audience and Luka seems to embrace it. This is where viewers branch off into two main ideologies. We can either say that Luka is ridiculously obedient, or we can say that he's enticing the audience, making them trust him, accept him, so that he can escape and put those survival instincts to use. Back to Mizi. We see Mizi hallucinate Sua yet again, as a child this time, indicating her past memories. Again we see her desperation to keep Sua around only for that to fail, when she finally realises that she's dead, murdered even and then...she flips. Mizi looks back on the round in her head, analyses Luka's behaviours. She comes to the conclusion that he is trash, taunting, worthles trash. As someone in the comments so beautifully said, why should a rebellious beautiful soul like Sua's die and a taunting dog like Luka stay alive? Some people in these comments say that Luka is with Hyuna, which is an interesting idea, but it doesn't show in how he acts. However, I also don't think he's the trash that people view him to be. Yes, he taunts Mizi, but look at how quickly he changes when he thinks only Mizi can see him. We see he is not as carefree as we thought, he is cold and he is calculating, he is quick and clever, and yes, he may come across as evil, but by becoming one of the best contestants, Luka has gained trust and he has survived, better than someone like Till, who is extremely rebellious and haphazard ever could. When Mizi attacks Luka, he doesn't dodge like he did before, and yes he seems surprised, but I think that's less because he didn't expect it, and more because Mizi hasn't gotten his message. Personally, I think Luka is working with Hyuna, and only because he doesn't fight back when Mizi attachs him, he accepts it, maybe because he wants to win, but also maybe because he takes it as his punishment for ignoring his fellow contestants, having no care or consideration for those he has lost and those who die because of his excellence. I don't think Luka is as carefree and evil as we think. We already see how much there is to unpack with every character, why should Luka be any different? We see the aliens reaction to Mizi's misconduct, and can see their horror despite the fact that they enjoy essentially witnessing the murders of these humans. When Luka smiles at Mizi next, it's because he see she still has fight in her, she is not lost to the cause, she isn't so hooked on Sua that she can't fight against immediate danger, she remembers the pain and takes it forward. It's important to note that Mizi does not care who is watching, she acts wild in this attack, and does not stop until she is forced to and even then her emotions do not waver. In a way we are brought back to how perfectly she fits with Luka, having more emotions when he does not have any. Even when she knows her death is imminent, Mizi continues, she doesn't simply become placated, the gun at her head doesn't change how wrong this is, how much it needs to stop, none of that, she continues. Also, Luka does not get up until the rebellion. He keeps up the show of being weak and obedient, malleable in fact, he acts in a way that can only ever benefit him, and help him survive, because when you become attached to people, although it's gruesome to admit, you end up like Mizi, prone to emotional outbreaks that end with you dead. Don't know if this is even canon but Till's reaction to Mizi's imminent death is the most sorrowful, the most shocked, and it implies that he has a crush on Mizi, and yet it also contrasts her rage - the difference in his and her eyes is amazing, because she does not care if she dies, that is the extent of her fury, and yet he does that for her, he cares about her life, perhaps more than she does which could be said to link with her attachment to Sua. To finish this off, at last we see Luka's reaction to Hyuna and how relieved he is that she came 'in time' to save and take away Mizi, as she is the first person his eyes go to. We see how similar Hyuna and Luka's eyes are, and even beaten black and blue, he still does not display emotion. Luka is the most interesting character to unpck in this series, I think. Here's the current situation: Contrary to the title, this video is actually both rounds 4 and 5. The reason the video is titled Round 5 instead of Round 4, is because we don't see anything except for the result of round 4, which is Luka kissing the hand of an unnamed dead contestant (this contestant is not Hyuna, keep reading for more details). The rest of the video is actually Round 5, Mizi vs Luka. (Quick note, Hyuna is a dark skinned woman with long brown hair who has been seen in lots of promotional material including the original Alien Stage series trailer) Based on what we know from the Alien Stage magazine, Luka is the winner from the last season of Alien Stage and holds the record for the highest score ever received by any Alien Stage contestant. The magazine also mentions that Luka is a masterful composer. He writes his own songs and carefully crafts his performances to optimize his chances of winning. Luka performs "Master of My Heart," a song that focuses on the singer's pining and devotion to a single individual. Mizi was (and still is) in love with and devoted to Sua. * While no one says this out loud, we can confidently infer that Luka's performance was designed to psychologically torture Mizi and purposefully remind her of Sua's death.* Around 3/4 of the way through the song, Mizi snaps and physically assualts Luka. Mizi is disqualified, violently detained, and is about to be killed by the guards. BUT instead of being shot, the whole arena is filled with gas and masked/hooded characters rescue her. When Luka sits up after getting his face bashed in he sees Hyuna's face on one of the masked figures rescuing Mizi. It is unknown if Hyuna is the actual person dragging Mizi away. Luka only sees Hyuna for a second before his vision gets blurry again. Before now, we have never seen human guards. The only guards/handlers who work with humans are aliens. In this universe/alien society, humans are seen as pets or lower lifeforms and are uniquely valued for their musical abilities. Here is a more detailed reminder that Hyuna is not confirmed to be dead, because the girl who died in round four wasn't Hyuna. If you look closely at the character photos on the at 0:16 and you'll see the dead person is a character we've never seen, but who has a skin tone somewhat similar to Hyuna. The unnamed girl's death proves that Hyuna was never supposed to participate as a contestant this season. When Mizi is disqualified an error screen appears. The error screen has an important message, "Mizi missing." The other crucial detail is that before the error message, Luka's competitior portrait doesn't move up to the spot for round 7 (the finals). In any other 1 v 1 competition a disqualification would immediately make the non-disqualified participant the winner. But in this round of Alien Stage, that doesn't happen. *End of hard facts* Very safe reasoning that hasnt been confirmed as 100% fact: The "Mizi Missing" error implies that the match was previously rigged so that Mizi would win no matter what. Luka literally cannot proceed to the next round because he was never supposed to win. Hyuna did not die in round 4, but that doesn't mean she's alive. She might have been a contestant last season who had a history with Luka. Hyuna will either be part of a flashback round or will replace Mizi and become Luka's competitor for a new round 5. Mizi not being killed means she will either come back after she recuperates and will challenge Luka again; or Mizi will play some larger role in the Alien Stage company/universe. That doesn't mean she will live, Mizi could also be formally executed as an example for dissenteing humans. My personal prediction: I think Hyuna is alive and will be brought in as a replacement for Mizi. For some reason, Alien Stage doesn't want Luka to win again.

All of these analysis and theory comments are making my head spin... We really don't know what's going to happen to Mizi, we don't know what Hyuna's role in the story is, and we do NOT know whether or not Luka will be able to perform for round 7, considering he got beat up pretty badly plus the sudden system error because Mizi was taken away. I am personally quite curious as to what the human rebellion's objective is. Are they trying to save the contestants? Are they trying to keep Mizi alive for some reason? Will they put an end to ALNST for good? Such a mystery...

Update: I'm so glad I'm wrong this was way cooler than what I predicted Not sure if it was a typo and it's meant to be Round 4 instead of 5...but if it's intentional I'm theorising that this might take place in the past, the previous Alien Stage competition, where Luka won ( he was the previous ALST winner according to his interview). So this round 5 might give us some insight on Luka's character & past when he went up against a previous contestant and the real round 4 will be the next video where he goes up against Hyuna
Nuh uh, Hyuna isn't in the state to compete currently. If you don't know, Hyuna is a wanted criminal that's on the run right now. It's not right for her to suddenly appear now when those aliens still searching for her.
1:49 this line here (and the entire song basically) is prob Luka asking Hyuna thru the broadcast to return to him since he’s an “idol”(“god”) now after winning alien stage, and he’s determined to win it twice. He assumes that Hyuna after seeing how successful he has become would leave resistance and “crawl back” to live with him under aliens’ control 😮

This has got to be my favourite song of Alien Stage so far,, Luka and Mizi's duet sends shivers down my spine. Their voices have such diferent intuations, expecially considering the context that is given to us and even if the characters have no connection between them whatsoever their voices still manage to sound so majestic together.

I know that from the newest video it confirms that Luka and Hyun A are opposites. But I like the idea that Luka and Sua mirror each other. They’re both shown to be very depressed and unemotional as children at the beginning. They’re both calculating and proper for the public. However, Sua seems to be what Luka could have been if he opened his heart to actual love and didn’t think solely about winning and possessing. Sua was just like that in the MIZI Sua video, but in round 1, it shows she was able to truely care not about winning or even surviving the show, she cared about MIZI, and just being able to sing with her and be with her. I believe Luka killed Hyun A’s brother because he views most people as competition, and probably because she’s so much different from him yet still seemed to care about him a little in the beginning, he he loves her in a dark and twisted way that makes him believe the only way to have her is to take out competition for her unconditional affection (aka her brother) But once it was done, he lost the trust and compassion of the only person he truly loved, leaving him once again to be the cold unemotional manipulator solely focusing on winning. But he’s still has those feelings for her, which makes the song even more significant. All songs except for Hyun A’s are about someone else, MIZI and SUA are each other’s Clematis Till is Ivan’s Black Sorrow, so to Luka, Hyun A is the Ruler of His Heart.

I love how everyone thought that Ivan will be manipulative but he's actually just sad and under pressure, while Luka who's was thought to be under pressure turns out to be this manipulative monster. I absolutely love this, another great job from Vivinos.
On the contrary, I think Luka's a manipulative monster BECAUSE he's under so much pressure. He's so desperate to survive that he learned to manipulate others, and that's why he keeps winning. You can't win multiple seasons of Alien Stage without being cutthroat!

I guess in some way, Luka's song does show the stage of bargaining in grief. "I'm in this deadly game, but as long as I make the other person lose, it will be okay."
Most fun part of this is how violent his singing feels, like it's a romantic song a serenade but with the situation they're in, while she stands there frozen and he sings with so much passion he is basically killing her, sealing her fate, and you expect the whole time for her to attack back in the same way, like deciding she needs to win for Sua she will hopefully sing with force and drown him out. But instead she uses actual violence, it looks less pretty it's not what the aliens paid for, she's not trying to win the system where she's not even a Real player in, she just beats the shit out of him. And I think that's iconic I hope she gets to commit more violence somehow

OKAY, SO I HAVE A THEORY.
While listening to Luka's cover of Sweet Dream it occured to me that, while he's definitely manipulating Mitzi here... that might not be a bad thing, or for cruel reasons.
First off, the whole idea of him trying to make Mitzi snap for an "easy win" is inherently flawed. Luka is *popular.* He already has fans, and probably had this win in the bag before he even stepped on stage.
Secondly- As Till proved, attacking, or even *killing* your opponent doesn't disqualify you. Hyun-A backed out at the last minute, so it's not like contestants can't be replaced. So getting Mitzi to attack him doesn't accomplish anything if his goal is just "to win."
So... if that isn't his goal, what is? Why taunt her, why provoke her?
Simple.
Fight or flight.
This song is *barely* a duet. Luka's singing just about every part, and it's not because he's overriding Mitzi, he's clearly trying to involve her, make her part of the show, but she's barely interacting. Watch her expressions in the first minute. She's dead-eyed, on auto-pilot, only showing any emotion when imagining Sua, and lashes out at Luka whenever he snaps her out of it.
Mitzi isn't trying to win. Mitzi is trying to be with Sua.
Mitzi is trying to die.
Luka's entire goal... is to piss her off and make her want to live. To fight back.
He's not smiling because he made her snap- he's smiling because when the guards showed up, *she fought back.* She struggled, she screamed, she through dignity to the wind and tried to escape.
And the moment she does, Hyun-A appears and provides that escape, exchanging a look with Luka before disappearing into the smoke.
Luka's a previous winner. One shown to be fairly uncaring of his fame or status.
I think the only reason he'd come back and risk his life again is either to go out in a blaze of glory, or to take down the show from the inside. Possibly both.

So it's not a typo... round 4 is already over. Luca won the 4th round against this person who is already dead (as seen at 0:16). Then Mizi fought Luka in the 5th round. It was a disqualification because Mizi hit Luka and interrupted the performance, after which the guard tried to kill Mizi... but Mizi is still alive because Hyuna saved her

Luka was definitely taunting Mizi, but I think another reason she attacks him is because he is so representative of the entire competition. He is the previous winner, and in the beginning she seems shocked and a little afraid when Luka spins her around and she can't avoid his gaze. She sees nothing there in terms of emotion. He might as well be another alien, with the way he powers through the song almost effortlessly. No regard for her mourning, his fellow trapped humans, no goals or aspirations outside of pleasing his masters. He is the opposite of playful, rule breaking Sua. Why should Luka, this cold, robotic creep, get to live when a beautiful soul like Sua had to die? I can almost see her thinking that before she snaps.

I love how throughout the "performance," you can see her struggle to sing back as it seems he's far too powerful, and it's like a dance of a predator and its prey, wanting to seize every chance but being overwhelmed, deciding to fight back only to snap out in anger for fear of losing it all.
The rollercoaster of emotions, the fierce battle of will and determination, all of which made this video the masterpiece that it is.
At first I thought that Luka’s purple fingers are just part of his design (which is probably true), but today I found about Raynaud’s phenomenon. This problem causes decreased blood flow to fingers. I searched for some pictures and one of the forms of manifestations of this disease is very similar to Luka’s hands. Here’s some more information: “this happens due to spasms of blood vessels in those areas. The spasms happen in response to cold, stress, or emotional upset.” Luka looks very depressed sometimes, which can relate to “emotional upset” criteria. Probably he hides his emotions from other people

I love how each contestants winning strategy is different and exposes their true nature:
Round 1: Mizi tries to sing *with* her opponent in hopes of them both 'winning', showing that she has selfless goals in the competition.
Round 2: Till wins by singing *over* his opponent and not giving him a chance, showing he's desperate to win and doesn't care how he does.
Round 3: Ivan plays by the rules and sings *in turns* , because he knows he was better than his opponent and would easily crush him.
Round 5: luka uses antagonism to make Mizi *disqualify herself* (maybe he knew he couldn't win fairly? Or was hoping she would be saved last-minute?)
Even without dialogue, each characters' nature is so distinct based on their strategies and emotions during their song. I love this series so much so far
I'd personally like say:
ROUND 2: It is likely that Till was not confident he would win, but his actions were definitely VERY influenced by his emotions. His song is extremely passionate and I think not ONLY is he trying to win, he's doing everything in his power to finally express himself to Mizi. We know Till is very timid around Mizi and I think he's taking advantage of his spotlight to say what he feels about Mizi, therefore he can't let anyone interfere (so that's why he didn't let the other contestant sing)
ROUND 5: Luka had already won a previous round of ALNST, he's a FAN FAVOURITE. Not only that, Mizi was totally mentally unstable after Sua's death. Before Luka could even try nd mess with her, she already appears less confident and not very passionate about performing like she was in ROUND 1. I'd like to believe Luka knew he got all his fans wrapped around his fingers and maybe just WANTED Mizi to snap? It's possible he's just a full-on sadist lmao

(Updated Theories) Now that Hyuna's song is out, heres a long analysis on Hyuna and Luka!
I put lil separations for each section to make it more readable.
------- Lukas song 1
First, that Luka's song was most likely directed at Hyuna. In community posts it says that he wrote the song before entering the competition (I explain why in the next section). Despite taunting Mizi, he probably didn't even really know her history (or the extent of her relationship) with Siu. This isn't to say he didn't taunt her, he most definitely did, but it was not as personal as we think. This is his second time in the competition, he's a famous and experienced performer, so he performed to win. But this doesn't mean the song was for or about Mizi, because he wrote it before he'd known any of them.
Also, a lot of the composure he has comes from his experience with having won before. He knows how to work the crowd and give a good performance. But we can see that whenever he's in a shadow (where the aliens cant see his face) he has a stoic expression like in 1:14. He doesn't have any emotion towards Mizi, but because we're seeing Mizi reeling from Siu's death, it seems like he planned to get into her head more than he actually was.
------ Song Choices
Each participant's MV and song choice so far is related to their past experiences and thoughts. Because the song was in Mizi's POV, we only saw who she was thinking of (Siu) while singing, not who Luka was thinking about. However, judging by how he's only paired with Hyuna in the songs and art, it's safe to say he was singing about her considering Hyuna's the only one who has a history with him in the garden.
Also, since we were in Mizi's head this whole MV we didn't get to learn much about Luka. But after Hyuna's song, it feels like Luka is straight up saying his thoughts and desires towards her in this song.
------ Spoiler warning!
Coming Back from Hyuna's song, we can now see more of how Luka objectifies and glorifies Hyuna, calling her his savior, beautiful, and the ruler of his heart.
The rest of my analysis references Hyuna's song so go watch that!
------- Why Luka re-entered the competition
It's clear that Luka loves Hyuna, and they possibly even have a relationship similar to Mizi and Siu considering they grew up together in the same way (and Luka is seen explicitly having romantic feelings towards her).
Regardless of how he feels though, Hyuna is on the run, and is possibly avoiding Luka because of that traumatic event. Plus Luka is living the complete opposite life as her as a top celebrity. I feel like because he has no chance at possibly meeting her again, this is his reasoning for reentering the competition. In the community posts, it says he wrote his song intending to sing it in the competition, but no one knew why he wanted to reenter in the first place (despite them being happy to hear him sing, lol). It might be because it's his only way to get Hyuna to hear him. The competition has such a big range that even if she tried to ignore it, she wouldn't be able to.
------ Did Luka kill Hyunas Brother?
Though I was quick to assume Luka was the one who killed Hyuna's brother, I saw another theory stating that Luka seemed hurt/beat up as well, and that Hyuna seemed conflicted (not angry OR sad), more like a child that did something wrong or saw something they weren't supposed to.
Luka still COULD'VE killed him, though it feels unlikely considering the characterization so far. Luka is this small introverted child dragged along by the siblings while Hyuna's brother is strong enough to run while carrying her on his back. Another theory I expanded upon is that perhaps, to an older brother, the scene where Luka kisses Hyuna was more of a scene where Luka was forcing himself onto Hyuna. Because of this, he might've confronted Luka, explaining why Luka looked beat up as well. If Hyuna stepped in to pull them apart, accidentally causing her brother to fall on the rock and die, it would explain why she stood there shocked by her actions.
It also feels like a better explanation to Luka smiling at her than him just being a "crazy yandere". Sure he might be off in the head, but her defending him might've felt like a reciprocation of his feelings, and like she was saving him from getting beat up.
If Lukas love for Hyuna is the same as Mizi's love towards Siu, especially considering how they grew up together, I'm not surprised that he called her his "savior" along with all his other compliments. And if the theory of Hyuna accidentally killing her brother is true, then Luka feeling like she saved him from that adds another layer to the lyrics (though I won't entirely discount him killing the brother himself).

Though, if the theory that he did kill her brother is right, I'd definitely say he objectifies her since, despite committing the act, Hyuna states in her song that Luka probably doesn't feel like he did anything wrong. He's still trying to get her to come back to him in this possessive way. He isn't seeing or caring about her feelings, he only cares that he wants her for himself.
------ Lukas song 2
Going off now what we know about Luka and Hyuna's relationship, a lot of the lyrics in Ruler of My Heart become clearer. Though the song isn't in his POV, the song is like an explicit declaration of his thoughts and desires about Hyuna. If he can't see her (considering that she's keeping her distance), it's as if he's letting her know that he still loves her and that she burns brighter than the sun, kind of like how Mizi had that whole Monologue about how she worshipped Mizi in her Clematis song.
------ Lyric Analysis
Honestly, he's more similar to Mizi considering both of them worshipped someone else in the garden. Mizi loved Siu, and Luka loves Hyuna
Here is a lyric analysis and examples of Lukas obsession/delusions of love directed towards Hyuna:

1:29 - She has "endless walls" up around him, this because the incident around her brothers death, but also because Luka lives by playing into the hands of the aliens, while Hyuna isa rebel and goes against the system
1:48 - (Make me your God, I can give you anything!) Telling her to worship him, he could give her anything considering his fame at this point

Omg.... u r right, considering Hyuna's expression seeing her brother dead is just different from how someone would actually react if somebody kill their love ones (Hyuna loved her brother) and if Luka really killed her brother she could've killed him in the spot or before escaping from death the last season of Alien Stage (even in the garden) but she didn't took revenge.
And yea the reason of him going back to Alien Stage could be Hyuna, the song describe many points of what happened in the garden and between em instead of Mizi stuff. In the end he was smiling when Mizi was beating him, maybe that was the scene of the fight he had with Hyuna's brother.
With the letter of the song plus provoking Mizi, he had the intention of confessing to Hyuna what he feels (and even ask her out) and recreating everything that happened in the garden between em, making her remember they have history together that he will not going to forget even more their special moment.
In short, what could have happened was that when Luka kissed Hyuna (her necklace changed color since in theory necklaces turn red when the human experiences strong and unstable emotions) she most likely told her brother to vent cuz she could be in shock and he got angry because Luka messed with his sister which he took as betrayal and went to confront Luka, then if we add that they fought and Hyuna intervened but accidentally caused the death of her brother everything is clear with both expressions.
An important point is that it is seen that the brother has more blows than Luka, so in the end Luka did fight for Hyuna's love brutally, and when Hyuna intervened and caused what happened to her brother, Luka smiled because he could think that she did it to defend the love between them and that she feels something but doesn't show it (Like she in denial)

Just some thoughts I had.
The dynamic between Mizi and Luka was executed so masterfully, that the music and visuals alone are enough to gauge exactly what is going on between the two characters.
They are stark contrasts in the way their movements are animated, which acutely expresses just what they are feeling and the power imbalance between them. This is ironic given that they are dressed so similarly with the intent to “match”. Mizi can’t stomach replacing her real lover with a man who is so eager in playing the role of her lover, solely for the sake of self preservation. It’s uncomfortable as Luka uses this to torture Mizi psychologically.
Luka is swift and graceful in his movements, whilst Mizi is almost robotic as she struggles to keep up with him. The way Luka is so sensual and intimate in his movements is so unsettling. He moves in a way that’s close enough to provoke a reaction out of Mizi, but withdraws at random moments, making him eerily unpredictable on stage.
Especially in the scene where he circles Mizi, he’s close, but not close enough to break her. Rather, he surrounds her, entrapping her in a rhythmic taunt.
The animation becomes really fluid in the most climactic moments, where Luka grabs Mizi’s waist, pulling her into such an oppressive waltz. Mizi’s head hangs from her neck as her expression remains stunned, yet unable to express it properly. Luka sways and bounces into Mizi’s personal space. She is powerless to his advances, throughout the sequence her expression remains wide eyed, as if harbouring a distress that is seconds away from bursting out of her.
The way Luka always initiates first is so invasive and I love it. He’s such a manipulative motherfucker in that, the audience cannot understand him other than the fact that he wants to win, and he intends to do it maliciously. We don’t know his motives or insecurities, only that he is a cunning bastard who’s able to dazzle an audience.
His eyes contrast Mizi’s so much. His are half-lidded, unbothered, super cunning as he so fluidly expresses this false desire to his co-star. Mizi’s eyes are intense. They are unwavering in that her pupils are blown and unmoving, she’s staring into something that isn’t there, Sua. She doesn’t have the mental fortitude to comprehend what’s happening, but it’s not up to her.
When Mizi breaks, the power dynamic doesn’t shift. Ironically, she’s the one beating Luka to a pulp, yet he doesn’t crack an expression that suggests he’s lost. He’s either neutral, smiling, or smirking, adding this layer of uncertainty around him which I find really compelling. I find it compelling because he unsettles me, he provoked not only a reaction from Mizi, but the audience.
Luka carried himself on stage with such an air of insincerity, he was so enthusiastic in his performance that it really drew the line between he and Mizi’s character. Despite her situation, Mizi physically cannot perform with Luka, her devotion and emotions are too real to allow her to function. This doesn’t apply to Luka, he can so boldly touch her, in ways that scream “I WANT YOU SO BAD” but it’s far from that. He lies with his movements. This shows how callous he is, to which he smothers Mizi, teases her as he so gleefully takes the rightful role of Sua.

I think the reason Mizi began to breakdown and remember Sua from Luka is because some of the lyrics from this song parallel and/or contrast the song in the 1st round, Clematis.
Like how in the climax of round 1, Mizi calls Sua "My God, My Universe", while here, Luka sings to Mizi to "Make me your God" and calls her "My savior", which obviously seems to be mocking how Mizi called Sua her god.
The lyrics here also say "My world is collapsing", again mocking Mizi calling Sua "My universe". Because Universe and world are kind of synonymous. He is even grinning while watching Mizi sing this line in distress.
This might be a reach but Luka also sings "The endless walls, a fall with no ground.... .....I go blind and deaf", while in Clematis, Mizi sings about finding Sua with her "scent". The lyric specifically is "In the endless darkness, I find you with your scent" They're interconnected in some way. Both about being lost in a void and losing all senses in nothingness, but while Luka's lyric is more tragic as it is followed by the lyric "My world is collapsing". His lyrics can be interpreted as "I can't see you and hear you anymore, what is the point of living when I can not love you?" Also in relation to the aforementioned lyric, "In the endless darkness, i find you with your scent", it may also be referenced by the lyric in this song, "Our darknesses overlap, let me take it all away." Because the moment that this lyric is sung, it shows imagery of Sua disappearing again. It could be referencing the clematis lyric in the sense that "let me take it all away" refers to the scent in the darkness, so basically taking away the only thing mizi can remember sua by. So now she is left with darkness and nothing to lead her way.
And there's the fact that he's acting seductive around her when she had just watched her lover die infront of her eyes, I'd be pissed too lol

Yeah, I very much think Luka knew how the events would play. So he had to play "the bad guy" in order to get Mizi to lash out and hit him to give Hyuna the moment to come in and take her.
The song and actions were made to make Mizi snap. He plays the role of the antagonist to test Mizi's faith, point out her pain, and even insinuating to just give in and give up as he is her "God" all to get Mizi scared and angered.
He stares off at Hyuna's rebellion blankly knowing this game of playing with lives might come to an end soon...but since he's won last alien stage and possibly more, he has to be the one to stay behind in a self righteous sacrifice for all in this moment and not go with the rescue team. A plan I'm sure he chose as Hyuna looks back in possible respect but also feeling bad for the role he decided to take.

I just think the momentarily blank stares or him grabbing her from slapping him in song but not looking at her in that moment is to show her "Hey, I'm trying to help you here" but Mizi doesn't get it.
But you may be right. He might be to cold-hearted at this point from previous stages, the morbid kissing of the corpse, and his song seeing him as God is probably and truly a bad trait he has and there is a darker ill intent behind him. He may really think he is God himself at this point because he ultimately holds everyone's lives in his hand. Since he's the one that has killed a lot to present time.

Me and my husband have been watching these, and we have a bit of a crazy theory. Neither of us think Mizi is dead, and we'd been assuming that those people dragging her away were working for Alien Stage, taking away the "body", but then we had the thought, what if they are rebels. With the mist, the lack of blood, and it being what seems to be Hyuna, another contestant, dragging Mizi away, we're theorizing that whoever this is took the opportunity to swoop in, take down the guards, and spirit Mizi away. Add that to the "ERROR MIZI MISSING" message at the end, I think its safe to assume Mizi is both not dead, and is now involved with whatever this mysterious group is. So excited for more!
They are clearly rebels; look at the robots that were going to execute Mizi on the floor. Mizi alive is a fact.

Yeah no, Lukas is DEFINITELY working with Hyuna. Notice his calm reaction to what is literally a human rebellion swooping in, taking out guards, and helping Mizi out of there. He seems relieved, and it's apparent that he knows who Hyuna is and vice versa. To support this, we know Lukas is a very calculated person, a solved rubik's cube in round 3 and his interview highlighting that he prepared ahead for unexpected outcomes. Also notice how it also mentions that Lukas took it pretty easy after his first Alien Stage competition. It's almost like he left to plan some sort of scheme and now he's back to set it into motion.
Contrary to some of the theories, I don't think he meant to piss Mizi off, he seemed really surprised he got attacked. The song came off as persuasive, saying things like "you're the perfect subject" and "you're my savior" which could mean that she is the key to ending this Alien Stage competition somehow, and she says that he's lying. I think he's just bad at talking to people, because again the song says "Let me be your God, I'll give you everything" - he's saying that he should replace Sua (who was referred to as Mizi's God) and he'll give her what she wants. He wants Mizi to trust him the way she trusted Sua. Their darknesses overlap, they now have the same goal - to end Alien Stage. You can tell Mizi just wanted to be with Sua, not necessarily win the game or end it. Now while it might be "logical" for him to say that, you can see how furious she is at the thought he could replace Sua.
Mizi would never have won against him even if she wanted to, as he's one of the best competitors featured on Alien Stage (Lukas Interview). So she was bound to die. He saw that her hopelessness and anger is what the rebellion needed. He smiled at 2:39 because even though everything didn't go to plan, he still got what he wanted. He prepared for the unexpected, and Mizi was saved by the rebellion.
Quick edit: I'm debunking one of the floating theories in the comments. Rather than a flashback to Lukas' first love dying in his first Alien Stage tournament, I think it's just showing how round 4 went. Notice how the corpse has that same short, spiky-brown hair as his round 4 competitor. Hyuna has long straight hair. It's almost like he's thanking his competitor. Don't worry guys, Lukas is just a little unhinged. It's his charm.

I think it could make a lot of sense if Luka is aiding the human rebellion, but my mind wanders back to that one bit of art from QMENG's community tab.. The one pic where Hyuna seems like she's trying to stab Luka, and Luka's got his eyes closed as he smiles.

Luka is absolutely gorgeous and I looked up his official profile and he’s 30?? It makes sense bc he apparently won a season of alien stage before but holy I didn’t expect the age gap from everyone else who are 20 something, but now it makes sense that we never see hyuna and Luka’s childhood pictures together with the rest, hyuna is 27 and luka 30, the aliens probably keep these humans separated by age..
we DO see them together as kids though, at the garden they are all practicing together and appear to be roughly the same age. i'm guessing they retconned it after the first few rounds or something because luka is also very clearly meant to be as young if not younger than the others up until promotional material for this round came out.

2:12-2:22 probably one of my favorite part of the video. The distortion and the hazy effect, if you check out Vivinos older stuff, you can see shes just a genius at that shaky and sort of haunting imagery where you can’t tell reality from mind (which is so fuxking cool oh my god it was like we were PUT in Luka sight when Mizi inner demon came out lol). But I especially LOVE how the instrumental acts as a stand in for Luka scream as he’s being chocked, like the screen visibly fucking shakes and everything. It so small but just goes to show how much Vivinos and their team cares about their craft😭😭😭
I love this series, like it’s a given that music and visuals are a tandem pairing but just this web series is such a masterclass in exceeding the limits of combing the two mediums. Music plays a storytelling role as well as a PRACTICAL one. Someone needs to do a video essay on this.

I swear Hyuna (though we haven't seen her fully yet) and Luka just exude another level type of aura. They're like a veteran to this game. I kept having the impression that Luka was saying "This is how you play the game" to Mizi the whole time. I felt like he's deliberately trying to make Mizi sees Sua in him as if saying that "You have your weakness written all over your face" and proceeds to show you just how that weakness could be used against her, and by the time Mizi lose her control, he already made his point. Aaaaa can't wait to see more of him!

Theories I'm seeing and jotting down:
1.) It has been stated that Luka won the last competition of ALNST. This is a flashback to when he won that.
2.) Hyuna was supposed to be competing in Round 4, but
A.) She is on the run from the aliens
B.) She killed herself (explaining the teaser)
C.) Something else is up with her, so they skipped/delayed this round.
Some people theorize that the community post Vivinos posted is about Round 4 and Hyuna.
3.) The number 4 is seen as a number representative of death in some cultures, therefore a lot of people exclude this number. That's why Round 4 was excluded and Round 5 is basically Round 4 (and we're carrying on with the regularly scheduled programming).
4.) Typo
Edit: I didn't expect this comment to blow up lol. But a lot of people think these are my theories, so just to clarify they ARE NOT mine. This was just a recap of what others stated. Also, I don't think this is accurate anymore, because I wrote this before the premiere.
However, this time I have my OWN theory/retelling. It ties a bit to theory #2.
Hyuna is on the run from the aliens because she is a vigilante who is against this mess. Whether she escaped from the aliens or she was never in the competition is unclear.
What I believe happened is that Hyuna and her group of rebels forced themselves in and saved Mizi.
When the aliens pull Mizi away after she beat up Luka, you see these robotic-like guards. ( 2:49 )
They prepare to shoot Mizi, yet this never happens. ( 3:02 )
We cut to the scene where the audience and Till are shocked. (This is either because this is where Hyuna appears or they are still shocked that Mizi would do this to Luka.)
Now when Luka was beaten, his face was bloody, not bruised. ( 2:36 ) It is proven that they probably broke in and caused a huge physical impact, because Luka is bruised here. He also gets up very grogily and looks like he's going to pass out from the impact. (3:25)
At this point, there is hooded figures hiding themselves in the smoke (they probably threw in a smoke bomb or something), not the robotic ones.
The rebels leave with Mizi in tow, therefore saving her.
That is a really good theory, but I honestly think that the dead girl is Sua, still dead in the stage.
Because then we can see how Sua is in the background so maybe Luka had something with her. He probably liked her.

You know what's beautiful ? The first time Mizi sings is exactly at 1:00, she starts to lose control at 2:00... Exactly at the middle of the video. She's "killed" (i hope not) almost at 3:00. The directing itself of the clip is stunning, every minute is a lil story. This, is why Alien Stage is so powerful. Good story, good characters, good animation, good direction.

THEORY TIME LET"S GOOOO
Okay so, based on the opening, I think that Luka's partner died in the previous season and he's determined to win, judging by how he likens Mizi to a star and himself to the sun. he seems to be trying to convince her to give up. It's obvious he's dead inside, showing no emotion even as he prowls around Mizi and puts on this elaborate performance, so I think he' acts as a foil to Mizi.
Both lost their world, their saviors, in this horrible game, but while Lukas knows he wants to win regardless of the cost, Miziz is struggling to find the will to win without her love, especially as Lukas continues to taunt her and she's forced to be a spectacle for these aliens' sick amusement, dressed up like a doll to match a person she has nothing but loathing for and judging by Lukas's smile at the end , he was singing like that to make her act out, to provoke her so she would hit him and in doing so ensure her death and his win.
ADDENDUM: Judging by how much he smirks at Mizi as she visibly breaks down, but always keep a princely face to the audience, it's possible that he won the previous alien stage by manipulating the audience by adopting a princely persona; doing the equivalent of making himself out to be a harmless, angelic, and princely being to be doted on by the "superior" aliens. He's enjoying her suffering and knows that the more he provokes her, the more her own facade cracks and her chances and winning plummet.
THEORY 2: Hyuna and Lukas are working together. As Mizi is about to be shot, a lot of smoke covers the stage and we see humans fighting the security guards, and Lukas no longer looks as aggressive or hostile as he was earlier. Just a calm, blank gaze as he makes eye contact with the interloper rescuing Mizi who looks strikingly like Hyuna. Considering that round 4 was "delayed" due to Hyuna going AWOL, it's possible that Hyuna left and returned with reinforcements and She and Lukas plotted to make Mizi act out, which would cause enough pandemonium to allow Hyuna and her forces to break in. It would make sense as it's implied that Lukas's lover died in the previous alien stage, so he would know first hand the rage, suffering, and misery that awaits the other contestants if they win.
OTHER NOTEWORTHY THINGS: Mizi looks nothing like herself onstage, and that shows how much Sua's death has affected her, like she lost part of her soul. She only begins to resemble her original self when she lashes out at Lukas.
when Lukas says "our darknesses overlap" he's most likely referring to their shared experiences
Ivan is not seen ONCE in the whole video. He could just be chilling in his own pod like Till, just out of sight. He could be hanging out with his sponsor, playing nice with "fans", OR he could have been working with the rebellion behind the scenes, since Round 3 shows that he had enough power/knowledge to be able to free Till and himself when they were younger, and that could remain true to this day
Lukas's stage has multiple platforms and floating stairs stretching high into the arena. I think it's meant to symbolize how far Lukas has climbed, standing atop of the corpses of his fellow humans to stand above the rest. Which would especially be striking since Mizi is relatively motionless throughout this round, seeming to lack to will to dance or even step around Lukas (especially considering that she's wearing a VERY cumbersome looking dress that drags along the floor, kinda like chains)
Also the stage has a spine in the background? Maybe it's because a lot of the imagery of Lukas is white and ethereal so throwing the spine in there puts the connotation of death and decay alongside the cold light of his moon to really push how dangerous he is and his two-faced nature. after all, he has a ribbon around his neck and is referred to as "prince" so to the aliens he's like a cute Pomeranian, but underneath his mask he's willing to use dirty tricks to secure his victory
It's likely Mizi was bound to lose from the beginning. From 1:44-1:50 we see that the stands are FILLED with aliens wearing purple masks to show their support for Lukas and the entire arena is lit up by purple as he looks back at Mizi. It's almost like he's telling her "there's no way you can win"
AND ANOTHER THING the contestant Lukas does go up against has black hair (both at 0:06 and 0:14 ), in the Alien Stage intro video, we see a black haired child run behind Hyuna and her turning to look at him, implying a connection. Maybe that person was important to Hyuna and Lukas beat them in Alien Stage, causing their death and Hyuna's hatred towards him. Or maybe she just hates him because he's playing the game to win as opposed to trying to rebel against it idk

I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY WITH YOUR SECOND THEORY or at least I just really hope that they're finding a way to get out of this killing system 😭 I also wanna add just to make the entire reinforcement thing more clear, that the white soldiers seems to be the one that work for the aliens but at the end when we see Luka having eye contact with Hyuna, 3:28 , one of them is laying on the ground and another one is being pushed by people in the same uniform as hyunas. I'm pretty sure they do NOT work for the aliens

This song is great... and so wicked! You can clearly see how right from the start Luka tries to taunt Mizi, knowing that Sua's death definitely took a toll on her. He's set on playing the part of a seducer, when he's obviously aware that Mizi just lost the one she loved (at 1:28 the image of Sua singing in her white dress is literally right begind him while he towers over Mizi), taking advantage of that weakness, barely giving her a chance to "sing back" to him : most of the lyrics are sung by him, and when it's supposed to be Mizi's turn, she seems completely dazed, out of it... most of the time, that is. What's even more unnerving is the fact that this song, a "romantic duet" on the surface, is nothing but a cruel parody of Sua and Mizi's duet -- like, almost every freaking line references their performance, to the point where it's almost physically painful for me (let alone for Mizi 😢). The tenderness and sincerity in 'My Clematis' are replaced here by the aggressive undertones beneath the appearance of "courtship", and rather than a true duo, Luka takes control, both of the song and the space on the stage, dancing around an almost still Mizi, invading her personal space, confidently pacing the stage and mesmerising the public whereas she can't even maintain eye contact and seems hesitant when singing back.
However he didn't think that he was playing with fire here, Mizi reacting in a way that he apparently didn't expect, fighting back physically rather than vocally, something he would probably expect from rebellious Till, but certainly not from sweet, tender-hearted, loving Mizi. But the signs were here from the beginning, even before she snapped, she was actively avoiding him when he was getting too close, pushing him away when he was trying to make her dance with him. Yet he continues to mock her, sure that victory is already his, until she does the unthinkable and fights back *for real*, leaving Till himself wide eyed. Even the "guards" didn't react immediately ,when they were so prompt to put down Till the moment his performance started to go awry.
I really like how Luka is characterised here, it goes beyond what I was expecting from him haha. According to the few glimpses we had on the other songs and in Vivinos' artworks, I think he uses his dreamy, angelic appearance to cultivate a "pretty lover boy" image in order to gain popularity. I believe the scene at the begining is - despite a lot of other theories I've seen in the comments - simply him kissing the blood covered hand of his previous opponent, to lean further into that "tragic lover" role he's always playing. In truth, he is more cold and calculating, cunning and ruthless than he seems at first, but rather than hiding it completely with a sweet facade, he seems to play with that aspect of himself, giving him a predatory edge, the epitome of a wolf in sheep's clothing, all of this contrasting with the nonchalant/indifferent demeanour he displayed in his few appearances so far (God, this is some delicious stuff right here lol). He seems to believe that he can win this game they play with his intellect (kinda foreshadowed with him playing with a rubix cube at the end of round 3, I guess), and relies as much on his ability to read others and manipulate them, as on his attractiveness and singing talents, if not more.
On a side note, Mizi is just gorgeous in this round, I'm literally obsessed gsjskavdjsk
About the appearance of Hyuna at the end, and the glance Luka exchanged with her, I don't know what to say yet about it, except that the fact that she doesn't seem to be a participant in the competition is an exciting plot twist, and the "disappearance" of Mizi after being taken care of by her is promising 👀 (and made me feel relieved, I don't want her to die lol 😬😬😬... yet)
edit: upon rewatching the video (yet again),I'm starting to think that Mizi snapping did not actually come as much as a surprise to Luka, and that it was what he planned from the start to get her eliminated (look at that smirk at 2:38 ), or at the very least it was one of the outcome he was aiming for. Either way, he was clearly expecting to win this round even before stepping on the stage

i loved reading your evaluation!! If I may, I'd love to add on to your words. I think that Luka certainly did not expect Mizi's violent reaction, but even so it was within his "calculations". The fact is, kind mizi, in her frenzy, took too long to finish the job. She was bent over him in a violent animal rage and I think she /could/ have killed him, but she didn't. She had her hands wrapped around his neck (Luka panicking!!) but she took them /off/ in order to beat his ass instead. Rewatching it, it even looks like she only had her hands around his neck in order to tackle him to the floor, because she goes for the punching so fast as soon as hes on the ground. It's all animated seamlessly into each other, but it matters. Mizi did not kill. I'll get back to this.
I think Luka's style of winning is extremely aggressive towards other singers. He duets with love ballads (a very common topic for songs) in a way that pulls everyone into its flow. He already has fame built on his reputation as that tragic lover character -- so if anyone tries to match his love song, they're already in his area of expertise, served up to the slaughter. He promises to take all the pain away if they give into him, and he delivers on that by winning. If the contestants /dont/ go into his love song, then Lukas love looks one-sided and pitiful, still giving him the advantage. If they snap and fight back, then theyll be executed for breaking the rules, like Mizi almost was. It's an extremely smart way to play that corners others by prying trauma disguised as romance. (the only way I can see someone winning against him is with positive idealism instead of his showy romanticism, but with the way the aliens calculate worth in a song, even that's a toss up honestly) Furthermore, in the world, I'm sure humans being pets inhibits their ability to be in consenting relationships with other humans -- and Luka offers a love they cant have. There are so many angles to his strategy.
He knows how far he wants to push his partners. After Mizi stops moving, he gives up pretending to her. His "emotions" turn off because theres no reason to corner her further. He even looks disappointed after a while that Mizi was so easy to conquer (especially when they reach the last arena and he turns around). You can see that in other ways too, like how he looks at her with disdain before smiling to the crowd. Mizi is a powerful singing force. Even when she's out of her mind and listless, she still has a singing presence! And lets not forget her almost perfect rating in round 1! I think Luka came on strong at the beginning because he saw her as a real threat. But Mizi was too vulnerable to counter Luka's trap. And for her not to counter him means shes just another "dead lover." It's not him, but Sua's dead body that puts Mizi over the edge.
With all of this said -- Luka's tight strategy means he covered all his bases. The show's premise is to sing in order to stay alive. There are armed guards surrounding the whole stadium. Even if Luka pushes someone into a corner mentally, he's safe physically..... except, this time, he wasn't. I think there's genuine fear in his eyes when he's being attacked by Mizi. Something he didn't account for.
And that smile... Luka's smile, when she's pulled away, means that she didn't kill him. She was listless and unshowmanlike the whole time, and attacked him -- she's done. He won. Even if they don't execute her for trying to kill him, she'll be executed because she's a loser. Luka was afraid, there was a setback, but ultimately, everything was within his calculations.
That said... his genuine at-a-loss expression at the end is delicious.
All of this said, I have a bonus headcanon that I subscribe to now: I think that Luka is famous because he has survived a past alien stage. This may or may not be true, but it's an interesting theory.

As to why he did all of this. That's the biggest question isn't it? I like this character and am looking forward to it.
Also it reads to me that being the previous winner, luka is mocking mizi's inability to adapt to the depraved demands the stage has set for them, but also envy her for still having humanity left in her.
In a way, luka was a lonely idol endlessly trapped in this abusive cycle where he has to perform like a perfect doll while the aliens look on inside his cage with glee.
From the way I see it, he's the one who actually wants to die and is seeking the perfect performer to do it.
It's the way every move luka makes is precisely calculated to invoke a reaction. Nobody who is like that is actually happy.

Guys, round 4 happened in the beginning. The dark haired person who died was his opponent. At about 0:17 you can see another bracket and the light go dim. There’s also no way it could be a typo because it also says round 5 at the end + the bracket having no one shown in round 4. Now that that’s cleared, what doesn’t really add up is why the opponent AND luca’s pictures went dim.
if u look at the other's pictures, everyone's picture was dim on their first rounds. I think it was just a direction choice to only show their pics in their current round

This is such a fantastic video, and I think it deserves an extra analysation in the comments.
When the video starts, we first see Luka get a louder round of applause from the audience, almost as if they appreciate him more for how predictable he is. The way he smirks and the flowiness of his outfit sort of show how carefree and obedients he is in the first scene as well. the whistle from him is an obvious taunt but even more interesting is the way he approaches and looks at Mizi before smiling - it's very analytical, not friendly or sympathetic at all, you can see it unnerves Mizi, because she turns away.
Then we hear the lyrics. Luka clearly refers to himself as the sun, almost idolising himself. (yes I know the song is probably planned, but it's so perfect). Anyways, so this as well as Luka's very pale appearance with his blonde hair and eyes, make him seem both ghostly and 'bright' in a way.
When Miki first starts singing, we hear how perfectly they harmonise together, and how elegant the song sounds with both of their voices, which paired with the animation of him circling her, gives us the impression that they fit together perfectly, despite us knowing that they definitely do not, and Luka is only there because it's planned and their opinions and behaviours completely oppose one another.
We then see Mizi hallucinate Sua, and we begin to understand her attachment and trauma, as well as how desperate she is in her mind to keep Sua alive. The lyrics 'ruler of my heart' can sound romantic, but in context are very different, almost giving the deceased Sua ownership and dictatorship over Mizi's emotions.
Then, Luka sweeps Mizi off of her feet. Now, here is an interesting scene. We see Mizi react to Luka's empty eyes, her astoundment at his playfulness, and we see him stop smiling for the first time, and the way he reacts to Mizi trying to hit him, quick and unbothered.
He clearly has good survival instincts, but he doesn't use them, instead opting to be obedient, we see the extent of his sadness, the true nature of his being, the numbness behind his charm, and I, being new to this whole series, am astounded at how quickly and efficiently he can change emotions in accordance to who can see him.
Mizi becomes accustomed to Luka's gaze now, looking him in the eyes properly, almost animalistically, locking sight unto him, and we see her shock and nerves disappear and fade into fury and a sort of wild emotion that's difficult to name.
Then if you look closely, you begin to notice a change in Luka's behaviours. He doesn't smile when he isn't looking at the audience anymore, and depending on what you believe, he could either be stoic as he realises that he's going to win, and is getting that message across to Mizi, however, we could also theorise that he is trying to make her understand the futility of her struggle against the aliens and the oppurtunity of hope ahead.
Mizi seems astounded at the volume of the audience and Luka seems to embrace it. This is where viewers branch off into two main ideologies. We can either say that Luka is ridiculously obedient, or we can say that he's enticing the audience, making them trust him, accept him, so that he can escape and put those survival instincts to use.
Back to Mizi. We see Mizi hallucinate Sua yet again, as a child this time, indicating her past memories. Again we see her desperation to keep Sua around only for that to fail, when she finally realises that she's dead, murdered even and then...she flips.
Mizi looks back on the round in her head, analyses Luka's behaviours. She comes to the conclusion that he is trash, taunting, worthles trash. As someone in the comments so beautifully said, why should a rebellious beautiful soul like Sua's die and a taunting dog like Luka stay alive?
Some people in these comments say that Luka is with Hyuna, which is an interesting idea, but it doesn't show in how he acts. However, I also don't think he's the trash that people view him to be. Yes, he taunts Mizi, but look at how quickly he changes when he thinks only Mizi can see him. We see he is not as carefree as we thought, he is cold and he is calculating, he is quick and clever, and yes, he may come across as evil, but by becoming one of the best contestants, Luka has gained trust and he has survived, better than someone like Till, who is extremely rebellious and haphazard ever could.
When Mizi attacks Luka, he doesn't dodge like he did before, and yes he seems surprised, but I think that's less because he didn't expect it, and more because Mizi hasn't gotten his message. Personally, I think Luka is working with Hyuna, and only because he doesn't fight back when Mizi attachs him, he accepts it, maybe because he wants to win, but also maybe because he takes it as his punishment for ignoring his fellow contestants, having no care or consideration for those he has lost and those who die because of his excellence.
I don't think Luka is as carefree and evil as we think.
We already see how much there is to unpack with every character, why should Luka be any different?
We see the aliens reaction to Mizi's misconduct, and can see their horror despite the fact that they enjoy essentially witnessing the murders of these humans.
When Luka smiles at Mizi next, it's because he see she still has fight in her, she is not lost to the cause, she isn't so hooked on Sua that she can't fight against immediate danger, she remembers the pain and takes it forward.
It's important to note that Mizi does not care who is watching, she acts wild in this attack, and does not stop until she is forced to and even then her emotions do not waver. In a way we are brought back to how perfectly she fits with Luka, having more emotions when he does not have any.
Even when she knows her death is imminent, Mizi continues, she doesn't simply become placated, the gun at her head doesn't change how wrong this is, how much it needs to stop, none of that, she continues.
Also, Luka does not get up until the rebellion. He keeps up the show of being weak and obedient, malleable in fact, he acts in a way that can only ever benefit him, and help him survive, because when you become attached to people, although it's gruesome to admit, you end up like Mizi, prone to emotional outbreaks that end with you dead.
Don't know if this is even canon but Till's reaction to Mizi's imminent death is the most sorrowful, the most shocked, and it implies that he has a crush on Mizi, and yet it also contrasts her rage - the difference in his and her eyes is amazing, because she does not care if she dies, that is the extent of her fury, and yet he does that for her, he cares about her life, perhaps more than she does which could be said to link with her attachment to Sua.
To finish this off, at last we see Luka's reaction to Hyuna and how relieved he is that she came 'in time' to save and take away Mizi, as she is the first person his eyes go to. We see how similar Hyuna and Luka's eyes are, and even beaten black and blue, he still does not display emotion. Luka is the most interesting character to unpck in this series, I think.

Here's the current situation:
Contrary to the title, this video is actually both rounds 4 and 5.
The reason the video is titled Round 5 instead of Round 4, is because we don't see anything except for the result of round 4, which is Luka kissing the hand of an unnamed dead contestant (this contestant is not Hyuna, keep reading for more details).
The rest of the video is actually Round 5, Mizi vs Luka.
(Quick note, Hyuna is a dark skinned woman with long brown hair who has been seen in lots of promotional material including the original Alien Stage series trailer)
Based on what we know from the Alien Stage magazine, Luka is the winner from the last season of Alien Stage and holds the record for the highest score ever received by any Alien Stage contestant.
The magazine also mentions that Luka is a masterful composer. He writes his own songs and carefully crafts his performances to optimize his chances of winning.
Luka performs "Master of My Heart," a song that focuses on the singer's pining and devotion to a single individual.
Mizi was (and still is) in love with and devoted to Sua.
* While no one says this out loud, we can confidently infer that Luka's performance was designed to psychologically torture Mizi and purposefully remind her of Sua's death.*
Around 3/4 of the way through the song, Mizi snaps and physically assualts Luka.
Mizi is disqualified, violently detained, and is about to be killed by the guards. BUT instead of being shot, the whole arena is filled with gas and masked/hooded characters rescue her.
When Luka sits up after getting his face bashed in he sees Hyuna's face on one of the masked figures rescuing Mizi.
It is unknown if Hyuna is the actual person dragging Mizi away. Luka only sees Hyuna for a second before his vision gets blurry again.
Before now, we have never seen human guards. The only guards/handlers who work with humans are aliens.
In this universe/alien society, humans are seen as pets or lower lifeforms and are uniquely valued for their musical abilities.
Here is a more detailed reminder that Hyuna is not confirmed to be dead, because the girl who died in round four wasn't Hyuna. If you look closely at the character photos on the at 0:16 and you'll see the dead person is a character we've never seen, but who has a skin tone somewhat similar to Hyuna.
The unnamed girl's death proves that Hyuna was never supposed to participate as a contestant this season.
When Mizi is disqualified an error screen appears.
The error screen has an important message, "Mizi missing."
The other crucial detail is that before the error message, Luka's competitior portrait doesn't move up to the spot for round 7 (the finals). In any other 1 v 1 competition a disqualification would immediately make the non-disqualified participant the winner. But in this round of Alien Stage, that doesn't happen.

Very safe reasoning that hasnt been confirmed as 100% fact:
The "Mizi Missing" error implies that the match was previously rigged so that Mizi would win no matter what.
Luka literally cannot proceed to the next round because he was never supposed to win.
Hyuna did not die in round 4, but that doesn't mean she's alive. She might have been a contestant last season who had a history with Luka.
Hyuna will either be part of a flashback round or will replace Mizi and become Luka's competitor for a new round 5.
Mizi not being killed means she will either come back after she recuperates and will challenge Luka again; or Mizi will play some larger role in the Alien Stage company/universe. That doesn't mean she will live, Mizi could also be formally executed as an example for dissenteing humans.
My personal prediction:
I think Hyuna is alive and will be brought in as a replacement for Mizi. For some reason, Alien Stage doesn't want Luka to win again.

All of these analysis and theory comments are making my head spin... We really don't know what's going to happen to Mizi, we don't know what Hyuna's role in the story is, and we do NOT know whether or not Luka will be able to perform for round 7, considering he got beat up pretty badly plus the sudden system error because Mizi was taken away.
I am personally quite curious as to what the human rebellion's objective is. Are they trying to save the contestants? Are they trying to keep Mizi alive for some reason? Will they put an end to ALNST for good? Such a mystery...

Not sure if it was a typo and it's meant to be Round 4 instead of 5...but if it's intentional I'm theorising that this might take place in the past, the previous Alien Stage competition, where Luka won ( he was the previous ALST winner according to his interview). So this round 5 might give us some insight on Luka's character & past when he went up against a previous contestant and the real round 4 will be the next video where he goes up against Hyuna

1:49 this line here (and the entire song basically) is prob Luka asking Hyuna thru the broadcast to return to him since he’s an “idol”(“god”) now after winning alien stage, and he’s determined to win it twice. He assumes that Hyuna after seeing how successful he has become would leave resistance and “crawl back” to live with him under aliens’ control 😮

This has got to be my favourite song of Alien Stage so far,, Luka and Mizi's duet sends shivers down my spine. Their voices have such diferent intuations, expecially considering the context that is given to us and even if the characters have no connection between them whatsoever their voices still manage to sound so majestic together.

I know that from the newest video it confirms that Luka and Hyun A are opposites.
But I like the idea that Luka and Sua mirror each other.
They’re both shown to be very depressed and unemotional as children at the beginning. They’re both calculating and proper for the public. However, Sua seems to be what Luka could have been if he opened his heart to actual love and didn’t think solely about winning and possessing.
Sua was just like that in the MIZI Sua video, but in round 1, it shows she was able to truely care not about winning or even surviving the show, she cared about MIZI, and just being able to sing with her and be with her.
I believe Luka killed Hyun A’s brother because he views most people as competition, and probably because she’s so much different from him yet still seemed to care about him a little in the beginning, he he loves her in a dark and twisted way that makes him believe the only way to have her is to take out competition for her unconditional affection (aka her brother)
But once it was done, he lost the trust and compassion of the only person he truly loved, leaving him once again to be the cold unemotional manipulator solely focusing on winning. But he’s still has those feelings for her, which makes the song even more significant. All songs except for Hyun A’s are about someone else, MIZI and SUA are each other’s Clematis
