It still sounds pretty budget compared to the 20k - 30k builds that people spend over time. The preventative maintenance costs are the one that you shouldn't ignore. Cristian, you laid out a lot of information on what to look out for before you upgrade. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Best wishes as always brother!
It’s a beautiful build man, perfect. I agree about the trunk lid , I really never liked spoilers most look trash but I love those minimal ones... I don’t think that’s that much $ for all you got, especially if someone is slowly doing it over a couple years. Definitely worth it, the car must drive amazing.
I’ve had my 335i coupe since 2012 and have been adding mods slowly over the years thanks to video recommendations like yours. I have been keeping an excel file tracking the costs and I am around $14k. Keep up the good content!
Of course labor cost is a big factor when it comes to building a car unless your wrench (Which still costs you your time). I’ve been fortunate enough to not have to pay labor thanks to partnerships with shops like Precision Sport Industries which is why I didn’t mention such costs in the video.
The videos shared with your partner shops and sponsors give information about what to wrench on and how to deal with it. But it can help with troubleshooting issues as well! I of course look forward to current and future builds. Thanks Cristian for sharing your experiences with research on vehicles!
Great video. You can always tell a car enthusiast by the knowledge of the details about their car. Most people won’t know the tire size off the top of their head.
I bought my 335i e93 after being inspired by you It’s booked in this week for tuning and exhaust intake etc then next week for body kit suspension wheels etc Can’t wait
When I and my 2 sons saw your car at bmw invasion. Bro Your car is nice I thought you would have spent well over 15K that's not bad at all. You are blessed to have PSI to help you, that company is amazing. Keep up the video's bro
Considering how your car looks and goes now i think 15k is reasonable. I can imagine its at least 5k more to that on maintenance. Good job, i am really happy for you.
Been watching you since 1400 subs and man this channel has grown rapidly in the past 2 years. Keep up the awesome work. Hopefully when I get my drivers license in 3 years I’ll buy myself a 325i e92 and mod it like you did to your e93.
“Hot air intakes” nope, it doesn’t matter since you have an intercooler. The intakes are what feed air into the turbos, then the turbos compress the air which makes the air hot, the hot air then flows to the intercooler which will cool the air down before it enters the throttle body. I believe Vehicular DIY made a video about this.
Budget can be spending according to what you can afford or willing to spend. And just because the total for this build is $15k doesn’t mean it was in one shot, everything adds up so just be patient with a build and the money will be spent well when you plan ahead.
That total investment is not too much for a high hp bmw. Less modified or stock 335i cost near what you paid in mods. I mean you have a beautiful ~600whp, sorted out 335i. It’s a great car that you should be proud of!
Funny how I bought a 535xi with a similar color you ended up with and actually wanted to go black or dark blue. It’s growing on me though. Really glad I watched to the end. I definitely want a similar steering wheel.
Pretty expected for that price. Plus you learn along the way, and make some good networks for future builds so you can budget easier in the future. Labour is the real kicker but sometimes you might need to fork out $12k all up for the parts rather than making multiple trips and could save you a few days worth of labour. Also if your building the car over a long period of time it may not feel like your spent that much on it until you add up the total yearly cost haha
15k is pretty average for a car build especially if there’s engine work involved. When you consider that labor was not included, you can add another 5-10k conservatively. Is that a lot? Not if you have it. Thank goodness for those sponsors. It’s a give and take though. I’m sure they’ve gotten more business from your viewers. I got an Aza steering wheel myself after watching your video 👍🏽. Keep up the good work ✌🏽
Definitely a Win Win Win with sponsors (reputable ones at least). Companies win with marketing, the content creator wins with parts and the viewers win by getting to see content on the parts or service. I'm sure you're loving that steering wheel!
I spent about 19k CAD on mine, so kinda similar to this in USD. Thing is that I did the build slowly throughout 4 years basically. So really it came down to a little under 5k per year. Not too bad.
Dope af lol I went outsider rhode island to Massachusetts to get my E93 335i for 15k with 74k miles a month ago cus the silver just reminded me of the one in NFS most wanted. Call me a nerd for the reasoning. Silver just looks fucking fire. Been trying to find where I can get parts but no one seems to source E93 just The other models. Tried to ask if a charge pipe would fit from a popular website and they said they're not sure if it fits E93. Glad I found your channel I'll see what I can find for upgrading/maintenance it! Definitely my video right here. Subscribed!
15K isn't bad to have pretty much fully customized your car to your liking. And being able to push 700hp makes it a full blown track car too. But still calm enough to daily drive it. In a year I have about $1500 into the car. Biggest cosmetic item for myself was a set of OEM 359M wheels I grabbed from a friend for $800. And they already came wrapped in Federal tires.
I’m running Falkens too, good stuff 👌🏾👌🏾 I got my Dual cones from SSR Performance and they’re pretty great, got em for $60 if I’m remembering correctly.
Awesome video and break down of everything. I think $2700 for a complete wrap is a bargain. If you were to get the car painted it would cost way more and if it doesn't then I bet it's someone spraying in there warehouse or garage WITHOUT a paint booth, dust and shit everywhere. I'll pass but I'll jump on a wrap, you can change it any time you want, any color you want. It's a "poor man's" paint job lol. But seriously it also protects the original paint, as well. It's a no Brainer. Also $700 for a complete set of those tits, brand new, they look great too but the price /reviews make them a great pick. Most ultra summer tires are easily $200+ EACH.
Love your vids! I’m going fbo and wondering if I should go with ARM or VRSF. ARM is cheaper, but is it worse in quality? Love to her peoples thoughts on that... thanks
I love your build!!!!! So beautiful! I have a 2015 X4 35i bright red, M sport, but in the future, I will do something like this. is it reliable? you got the N55 right?
Hey man, I wanted to figure out what is your opinion on the exhaust flap mod or “golf tee mod” I want to make my E93 louder without getting into a new exhaust kit. Should I really do it?
It's a beautiful build, truth be told, but again, it's a costly build, you've got to really like the car to spend that much money on it. The one thing that really stands out is that steering wheel and those carbon replacements. The car looks awesome, overall
@Bisforbuild dynoed the DCI's and saw a legit gain in horse power. $15000 is a lot of money to spend on a car. I myself would have probably went for the DD turbo setup, 600HP street car is enough for me. I agree with you on the steering wheel I have a flat bottom from Mashimiro and you want to drive your car all the time 😆

But hopefully someday. I live in Michigan and there isn’t a lot of cars like these, so it’s kind of hard to find the one I’m looking for.
Hey bro, I felt you on that. I just 20 and I got my 2010 E93 335i when I was 19 and yes, it's gorgeous car but I'm going to tell you right now don't do it unless, you either know how to work on cars or you got money for labor and most likely you won't find the engine in perfect condition and that's where you play catch up with maintenance. I'm not trying to scare you from it or anything buy I'm just gonna lay it out in front of you, but you got it.
