New Personal best lap. Old personal best lap was a 2:01.311 back in Jan 2010.
I ended up spitting a hard vacuum line off the intake manifold in Session 4. I went off once in Session 2 right before I set the hot lap.
Thanks to FFTEC Motorsports for getting my car ready and squared away so I could attend this event. I almost wasn't able to make it for several reasons.
Car felt really strong. Cornering balance was the best I have ever had. Cornering and straightline speed is much better. I love the new E85 tune. However, it does use up alot of E85 while on the track.
I was sooo mad I left my AIM SOLO DL data acquisition's mounting kit at home. Wanted to gather alot of data, but couldn't mount it. :( Oh wellz. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
it was fun watching my self from the rear passing that m3 and 350z..........good driving and a nice evo there buddy

nice catch when you went off. I went off there in a not so elegant manner last year in March.

Thanks! Its basically remove the stock plates in the rear diff and replacing them with the Weir 12 clutch plates and arranging it in a way that promotes more lockup under acceleration. You get better rotation in the turns under throttle. 1st place got a paper award adn $40 off a future event. :)

Hmm hard to explain. Maybe you can try googling LSD and 12plate Weir diff or how differentials work. All i know is, this diff eliminates that understeer pig push when you are wot on apex. Feels halfway there to a rwd car. Best of both worlds. AWD traction, with some controllable RWD power oversteer.
Yeah, I wasn't expecting 1st place at all. I just wanted to relearn/test out my new mods and get a feel of how it handles on the track. Felt awesome and best balance so far.

@pureevoix Can you elaborate on how more lockup helps acceleration and rotation out of corners? Thanks. and it's kind of a bummer that you only get 40 bucks and a paper award after spending so many thousands into your car and so many hours into it, in addition to all the trouble and work. but then again, you do it and win because it's fun, and you want to, not for any award, I get it, just saying, would be nice haha.
