you made the right call; water 1 foot deep flowing at 25mph has the pressure equivalent of wind blowing at 790mph! Even at a low speed of 5mph, 1-2' deep water can carry away even the largest vehicles with a vertical buoyancy force of 1500 pounds per foot of water and 1000 pounds of lateral force. So you'd be fine if you're driving a tank lol. I definitely would have turned around as soon as i saw that too.

They release a dam upstream if it’s been raining a couple days. So we will try it once it’s been dry for a while!

After you’ve done enough trails in a manual it’s not an issue. I purposely swapped my Ramcharger from auto to a 5 spd manual. The 5.61 1st gear works great in rocks w/o the big jump a 4-1 Rubicon t-case has in other gears.

We did hurricane creek today, from what the people we were following said it is a lot more challenging than it was last year. It's our first trail that wasn't just a gravel road with some mud and we loved it. I have a stick gladiator rubicon with 33x12.5x17 baha boss MT tires and it handled it like a champ. Rocks are bigger in person that it looked like in your video but still fun.

Yes we have river otters and beavers in Tennessee, I live in west Tennessee and used to wheel a xj In the early 2000s in middle Tennessee and just bought a 2 door jk I’m building up and looking forward to getting back out there. I’d like to get more in that area and out west, I’ve never been farther west than hot springs Arkansas I recently found your channel and really enjoy it, maybe I’ll meet y’all on a trail in the future.

2 or 4wd in those trails are not about being able to do it in 2wd but to keep the terrain from getting torn up. What's easiest on the trail. The erosion from the rain is bad enough. Spinning tires doesn't help. Tread lightly is also easier on the running gear too. We plan to hit this trail in July.
Did you get the coordinates for the trail you hit after the overlook? The one close to the river? That looked fun.

Great video and beautiful ride. Question tho... what do you follow the jeep in front of you so closely. I thought it was common to gap the rig in front of you as much as the one in front of them. Very common when riding in a group of bikes as it shows the comfort level to the one you're following as the relative distance they give themselves to the bike their following. Anyways....just a thought.

No shame in not crossing that water. Grew up in an area with a few of those and can't count how any times people have been hurt or killed trying to cross after bad weather. The easiest trails and crossings can become evil with two inches of rain in 24 hours. As far as wildlife, beavers are making a comeback, otters would be very, very rare. I bet that easy trail would be fun in the dead of Winter with about 12 inches of snow on it;)

Cool video, but a couple pointers. Instead of tearing everything up trying to do things in 2wd, you could help preserve the trails a bit more for everyone else by using your 4wd. Also maybe give the lesser vehicle in front of you a bit more room to maneuver instead of being on their ass. These are just a couple proper edicates of 4whln. Sorry dont mean to harp, but a little goes a long way..Have Fun and b safe..👍

Enjoyed your video. I would only ask that you don't do what you did at the 14:00 minute mark. Going off the road/trail and taking off into the woods is not responsible off road behavior. It damages surrounding areas and will get areas closed down. Please consider that you not only did that for yourself that day, you showed it to all the viewers of this video which sends out the message it's ok to do it. Thanks.
