Glad I found your channel. I have a 15 transit 350 with 3.7. 6r80. Codes P0706,0707,0712,0715 I have been having this vibration sound for a long time, I would describe it like a low bass sound, from big sound system. It comes and goes at any speed above prob 40mph. It will sometimes happen every few seconds and it last for a second or 2. We now have 135k and it started 50k or so ago. I have taken it to several shops and they all say it’s tires or shocks or something and never fixed the problem. Last week I was headed up in elevation on a road trip, no trailer. And I was noticing the rpm would bounce +\- 200, when the sound happens. Then, the sound went away. Approx 50miles later I noticed fluid getting on my rear Windows. I kept driving and made it the next 100 miles to our destination. During the 100 miles, it didn’t ever shift down when pulling hills, it stayed in 6. Even if I manually tried selecting another gear, it wouldn’t allow me to change. After getting into town, I shut it off and when restarted tried, it shifts hard to reverse and drive. It operated fine in R. But feels like I’m still starting in a higher gear. We trailered it back to our town. Where I now have it and am ready to work on it. What are your thoughts? I purchased: lead frame, case of fluid, filter, and it was all here by the time we got home. Now I’m thinking torque converter too. Or am I too far into it and should just bite bullet and order a trans? Where would the fluid have come from? It looks wet on bottom of bell housing…
If the PA68301 includes new lead frame, solenoids, and new casting of the valve body...why is there a $350 core charge when nothing is rebuilt or reused?
Got a 2013 fx2 I got the wrench on the dash and the transmission shifted to only 3 or 5 th gear and once I got it slammmed into 1st at about 40 my locking my rear end for a sec or two.... took it to the dealer and they say they replaced the lead frame as I am over 150,000 but the recall extends to include trucks over mileage up to oct or nov 30th of this year Got it back today and so far so good, put about 80 miles on it since leaving the dealership and no problems so far.
I just replaced my valve body and lead-frame on my 2014 Expedition EL Limited. Disappointed it was not part of the recall because of the model year. Build date, factory, and the problem fit to a Tee. It gets better, for $1,000 the dealership could replace the lead-frame though they can not even get just the lead frame to “fix” the problem. But (here comes the money grab) they can get the valve body with a lead frame combined! $3,000 was the quote. Ended up purchasing the factory valve body/lead frame (I could not purchase a factory leadframe without the valve body) and doing it myself in under 2 hours for less than $1,000. Shifting smooth and functioning properly. BUT it is recommended to go into the dealership and pay to have the strategy programmed into the truck. I do not see the reason to do that. Quite the money grab IMO for a problem that has been verified and recalled.
5/19/19 Ford issue a recall to fix the Lead Frame. Got mine replaced for free but it did not solve the problem. The issue also include the valve body. If you don’t fix both you will still get the “slam” “rear ending feeling” into second gear.
My 6R80 with only 1600 miles on it after a rebuild, flared 300rpm from a 5-6 gear shift. Now, when trying to move forward, it seems like 90% of the line pressure isn't allowing full engagement in D, and the RPM just climbs with very little forward movement. Reverse engages perfectly fine. The car was driving perfect for the first 7 minutes, and then this came out of nowhere. I believe its a solenoid/valve body issue. No codes came up. I am swapping the valve body, bridge and tube seals today.

Got a recall last week on the Output Speed Sensor replacement which will cause the truck, at high speed, to downshift to 1st gear. So my Lead Frame went completely out. Went by 2 shops earlier today and 2nd one said he could get to it in a week and showed me a bad lead gram he just replaced last week on a F150 that had the exact problems I’m having. He said diagnosing the problem one wire at a time was a nightmare his first couple repairs bc nothing was clear as to if the harness was to be plugged in or not and wether it needed power or not. So after a few he has gotten pretty good and pretty fast at the process. I mentioned that I was considering replacing it myself since I learned that I wouldn’t have to reprogram or relearn anything. He advised against it. He said it isn’t a bad job, but there’s a lot of small things that if not all are perfect, you’ll have to redo the entire thing again. Akshay Bhavsar I’m getting it back on Friday I’ll let you know if it fixed my problem.
@@billwilliamson3764 Thank you. I am pretty handy with a wrench, but didn't have any transmission experience so I took it in to a pro. They found code P0733 during limp mode while using a data recorder, but the code would clear every time the car was shut off which is why I couldn't find any codes when I used my reader. They also found clean fluid which I replaced 12K miles ago. After testing they recommended I replace valve body and that there was no damage to the transmission. After 50 miles of driving the issue seems resolved. The reason I am concerned is that my mustang has 80K miles and I'm concerned future trans issues may occur in the future and if this would be a good time to sell the car to avoid having to deal with future issues or if the valve body failure is just a one-off anomaly. Engine and rest of the vehicle run great. Anyway, thank you for your help and let me know!
Akshay Bhavsar I had all of it done and it’s running so much better and so far hasn’t given me anymore problems.
Anyone know what the part number is for just the valve body, I just bought a new Lead Frame and was thinking since I just found this video. Where can get just the valve body since I already have the lead frame
Did you find out? I have the same question.
how much does this thing cost?
Where can you find these replacement partsand their price??
Where’s the range sensor located?
According to this video, it was right there on the lead frame.
Which one is the tcc
I have a 2009 F150 5.4v8 and the 6R80 transmission. 85k miles. Took it on a road trip and it slammed hard from 5th to 4th gear going up a hill around 70mph. Happened half a dozen times over a 1000mile roadtrip. now my 2 to 1 downshift is harsh too! Did something fail? no check engine light came on. Any idea what this is? I've seen people say just reprogram it, but that cant be right.
Check Recall Notice 19S107/ NHTSA Recall19V-075...it addresses the speed output sensor downshifting at high speed to a lower gear. My recall says they will cover the repair for 150,000 miles or 10 years....I guess it's cheaper to see if any don't fail rather then to repair them all....bazturdz
@@JM-ei7eb I got the notice in mail about this but I had spoken with Ford dealer near my home and was told they are not authorized to perform repairs on my truck unless a fault code is stored in memory. My truck doesn't have it and is experiencing "slam" when changing gears from higher to 1st for at least a year. What do I do?
John O'Donohue I think you were lied too. Just bought a 2011 F150 with 106,000 on it with a active recall from 2014, took it in & they did a program reflash in less then 30 mins & i wasn’t pulling any diagnostic codes, also contacted previous owner and was told that he had the leadframe warranty work done without a code being pulled.
shift bans just had to replace my trans now i am getting the led frame done because its fucked up 70000 miles on my truck under the recall part is back order its on them now
The dealer changed the lead frame on my 2013 Ford F150 lariat. 2 months ago Now my instrument panel will not turn off. Can there be a connect with the lead frame?
Bobby Evans is it fixed now?
There is a recall on the lead frame now.
Got my lead frame replaced but it didn’t fix the problem. The problem turns out to be the Valve Body
There is a recall on lead frame now?
