- The inaugural Padam Rosha Memorial Lecture was delivered by Javed Akhtar Sahib on 27 July 2023 at the India International Center, New Delhi. Javed Sahib spoke about the origins and evolution of the language.
The Padam Rosha Memorial Lecture is in memory of Padam Ajit Rosha, 1923-2023, beloved husband, father, (great) grandfather.

Sad to see very elderly audience's silence. Few of them may be semi deaf or too tired to clap or laugh.

Sad irony that a program celebrating the love of Urdu begins with a speech in English. Dukh ki baat hai ke Jashn-e-Urdu ki shaam ka aagaaz English se kiya jaa rahaa hai.

They are the who's who of the socialite club of yesteryears. Only Raja karan singh ji is identifiable.
Sadly majority of people present there were either hard of hearing or do not know Urdu...It is evident by their silence....!!!

Now you have added another feather to your intellect Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal sha ire mashriq the great philosopher who was never a poet but he used poetry as a medium to convey his message. He was the greatest scholar of the holy book Qur'an..
