After I left religion, it took me almost 7 years to decide which way to move.. So I focussed on my professional growth, learnt money and finance, left all those blind religious relatives and got a fair amount of success.
I don't call myself an atheist, but I follow nothing and use my logic instead of beliefs.
Meanwhile, I started listening to Javed Sahab's interviews some 2 years back... I find myself closest to Javed Sahab, as he thinks and speaks very clearly. I thank him for clearing the remaining part of confusion in my mind.

Once you are able to think freely without any influence, you will realise that your rational and logical mind is dominating. Yes this cosmos and universe is unimaginably big and nobody know who created this except some theories. The easy answer is that it was created by God. Nope. Atheism isn't an affirmation. It's a negation. A negation as a default position in absence of evidence. Also, agnosticism and atheism aren't mutually exclusive. You can be both an atheist and an agnostic at the same time. This is because agnosticism/gnosticism is concerned with knowledge, whereas theism/atheism is concerned with belief. Atheism simply means a lack of belief in the existence of God or gods. It's not a claim in itself. Agnosticism means uncertainty regarding the knowledge that God exists, whereas gnosticism claims knowledge of God's existence.
An agnostic atheist doesn't believe in God, but doesn't 'know' whether God exists. An agnostic theist believes in God, but doesn't 'know' whether God exists. A gnostic atheist doesn't believe in God and also claims that he 'knows' that God doesn't exist, whereas a gnostic theist believes in God and also claims to 'know' that God exists.
Most atheists are agnostics because no can claim to be completely certain regarding the knowledge of God's existence.
@@sunny123kany claim whether god exists or not requires either of the two things- empirical evidence that makes it a science or a belief/faith that will put it in the category of ‘something to be believed in’. With Agnosticism, there always remains a scope for things to change as the evidence that doesn’t exist now would perhaps come up in future. Many things not known in the past were either believed to be true or not (eg. earth is round) and it was only a belief till then. With scientific evidence we know it to be true. That is how a rationalist will approach any subject including whether God exists or not and not make inconclusive decisions based on just belief. Whether one claims to be a believer or an atheist, both are certainties in the absence of any concrete evidence.
Instead of going for bookish definitions of both the terms, one should try looking at the meaning they hold. ‘I don’t know for sure’ doesn’t make one small. Infact it’s a reflection of wisdom of not being certain about things one doesn’t have surety of. And that is a true rationalist approach.

Are you agnostic about the flat Earth idea or alien abductions or a secret alien base on Mars or the Flying Spaghetti Monster or invisible and undetectable dragons that follow us wherever we go? Are you agnostic about the claim that there's a secret organization which controls all the governments in world? Should we entertain every nonsensical and unfalsifiable claim simply because it has a possibility of being true? Would it be wiser and more rational to reserve judgement in these cases and wait for evidence which proves or disproves these claims? No, it wouldn't. The burden of proof always lies on the one making the claim. It's for the person making a claim, especially an unfalsifiable one, to present evidence in its support. Unless he does that, I've no reason to believe him. This is aptly illustrated by Russell's Teapot.

Also, science doesn't accept unfalsifiable claims. For a claim to be considered and investigated scientifically, it must be falsifiable, meaning it should be possible to prove it false. The idea of god as well as some nonsensical claims mentioned above is an unfalsifiable claim because it's beyond the scope of scientific enquiry. No matter how much evidence we gather regarding the existence or non-existence of God, believers can simply say that God is beyond science, logic and rationality. Science works within the paradigm of inductive logic and empirical evidence. If we go by that understanding, the idea of god doesn't even fall within that paradigm. Science isn't concerned with proving or disproving unfalsifiable claims. In my view, the idea of god is not beyond but beneath science. Yes, despite all of this, a god could still exist since there's always a possibility, which is why I don't claim to know for certain. But, that possibility is at the same level as that of fairies or unicorns or dragons or invisible monsters existing. But, we're not uncertain about the existence of fairies or unicorns or dragons, are we? Do we know about them for sure?
And when there's empirical evidence available for a claim, belief becomes irrelevant. Gravity is true whether you believe in it or not. On the other hand, no amount of belief can make something true if there's no evidence for it. My agnosticism regarding the idea of god is because of the limitations of our knowledge and uncertainty in science (nothing is 100% certain in science). My atheism stems from the lack of any reason or evidence to believe. Absence of belief is always the default position until proven otherwise. As the popular saying goes, "Innocent until proven guilty".
