Thank you 🙏, yeah pretty much opposite experience from previous flight, but wouldn't call it as bad because flight on average was fine

The Air India food look so great. I also like Air India still has comfortable 9 across seating in B777 instead of what the 10 across seating on most airlines.

Yes, I too feel seats are very much comfortable across all the domestic and international flights of air india. 3-4-3 arrangement is very uncomfortable

Hi, thank you for the video. Since u traveled SFO-Mumbai, any tips for parents travelling with an infant and a toddler? How does the space look like in premium economy-like do the car seats fit in these seats well if we plan to take the car seats? Do the premium economy seats recline? Any hacks that we can use for kids to sleep well atleast for sometime in the aircraft? Like inflatable beds?

Thank you 🙏, so I did travel with two kids and was comfortable journey through premium economy.
      1. I think you can feed kids before journey so they won't feel hungry as airline will take time to serve the food in aircraft ( food is good )
      2. Premium economy seats are good but only problem is hand rest doesn't move ( like in economy you can lift the hand rest to use continuous seats ). I never carried car seat ( rather used bassinet) saw people struggled with car seats
      3. Seat does recline as usual
      4. I never carried any extra accessories for kids. While they were infant we used bassinet and as toddler complete seat.
      5. We feed our kids complete meal an hr or ~90 mins before take off so they play, get tired and ready to sleep after take off

@californianmarathi pt.2 saw people struggle with car seats- that's a good tip. So car seat need not be carried. How did u make the toddler sleep in the premium economy seat? Sitting?? I saw inflatable bed option or seat extenders for toddlers (~3yrs+) so that it's a bit comfy for them to sleep. Would u recommend those in Air India premium economy flight?

@revathyiyer6986 Yes looking at people carrying car seats and struggle when baby cries is tough.
Toddler slept on side on own chair while seating leaned towards reclined seat.
Honestly don't find need to buy anything specific for toddlers. Flight is just 15hrs direct if there's layover and all kids might get cranky. It didn't happen with my kids. I traveled four times in same flight with kids

I bought regular economy with whatever online price offered but on airport they upgraded to Premium Economy so I didn't pay for it, so not sure what was the price offered but you can check it out on their website

Great video. Air India entertainment and seats are very bad hopefully it gets fixed by the tatas soon.

Yeah I don't know why AI have older aircrafts on their busiest route ( SFO to Delhi, SFO to Bengaluru )

@@californianmarathi I think it will change very soon. Air India will get 6 brand new a350 aircraft this year which will replace the older 777 aircraft

I don't think so... Delhi / Bangalore routes from SFO are still old aircraft... only Mumbai route had upgraded delta aircraft

Did you have to take the suitcase in Delhi or was it transferred by the airlines ?

    • @californianmarathi
      @californianmarathi  ปีที่แล้ว +2

No when you leave the country they do your "through checkin" from the first airport you start, so mine was done at Pune and I collected luggage directly at SFO. But when you fly into india, you will have to take out luggage at Delhi first as for arriving passengers through checkin is not allowed

3*3 seating on premium economy is a joke. Air India should upgrade its planes
