CTR, Vidhyarthi Bhavana, Davangere butter dose (one in Mahalakshmi Layout), Sri guru kottureshwara, Mahalakshmi tiffin room, Udupi Sri Krishna bhavana (balepete), Hotel Dwaraka, Bengaluru cafe, Thaaza thindi and so on. Now these are the OGs. They are the authentic Kannada hotels with lots of memories in the hearts of Kannadigas. These hotels are home. Rameshwaram is just a luxury hotel pretending to be a home. It’s just filled with IT people and outsiders who do not have an idea of the actual and real dose experience.

I am Maharashtrian and living in Bangalore for last 2 years for job ... small eateries in lanes of malleshwaram, or to south of Bangalore like Jayanagar, Basavanagudi, have better tasty authentic dosa with premium chutney and veggies , all better than big corporate brands like rameshwaram , at very reasonable price
Yes, i think people are going more to rameshwaram because of that god name. To make south indian food it's very easy for south indian people. It's overhyped.
American pizza outlets also work on the same principle , creating an interest , among the baby boomers, and their previous generations that had just witnessed and were sick of world wars! Those pizzas taste nothing like the authentic Italian ones! Rameshwaram are successful and even ambanis invited them to their wedding catering , which is a good thing for them!
I visited Rameshwaram Cafe in Indira Nagar last year, and I was truly blown away.... theyre doing a fantastic job. Owner was taking care of orders himself. Very positive vibes. My only feedback is the food was too too rich, too much ghee being poured, it dilutes the taste after a point. But overall, super impressed and SO PROUD.... Keep growing and Keep India Shining

However, food officials in Hyderabad recently raided the establishment and found that some food items were expired but were still being served. Hygiene should be of utmost importance, but it seems their focus is solely on ambiance. This issue isn't limited to just this restaurant-many new establishments also struggle with poor hygiene and the use of expired ingredients, putting customers' health at risk. To be fair, the food was good, although a bit on the expensive side. Charging higher prices is understandable if quality ingredients are used, but serving expired products is unacceptable. For me, the trust is broken. I used to eat there, but not anymore.
Do these food officers go to smaller outlets?with the kind of sales daily I doubt their raw materials would last till the expiry date.But yes as a branded restaurant they need to be very careful about everything

Just before election an incident happened that is supposed to be an attack at this restaurant, even before the investigation agencies, this owner with dapper clothes came in front of TV cameras and gave interviews. Also read that he was the caterer for ambani sons wedding breakfast. Ah, people with social capital rise and rise but lower castes remain poor. You should have asked him what happened to the investigation and if there is any news on that.

The bomb blast was a well plotted crime to destroy the business and growth of Rameshwaram Cafe. But as they say "Aayiram kai maraithalum aathavan maravathillai" (Even if a 1000 hands try, it cannot cover the Sun)
Expecting a ton of "over rated / over hyped" comments. If you don't like the restaurant no one's forcing you to go there and keep cribbing about their excessive ghee or high price. I am a big fan of their Podi idli and haven't found any other restaurant serving similar taste in Bangalore (I have tried many). Good taste, ambiance and hygiene makes it a perfect combo for me. Let's not talk about the blast or the raid at Hyd, these are a one-off occurrence and won't be happening again since they seem to have taken measures to avoid such situations at their restaurants.

Expecting a ton of "over rated / over hyped" comments. If you don't like the restaurant no one's forcing you to go there and keep cribbing about their excessive ghee or high price. I am a big fan of their Podi idli and haven't found any other restaurant serving similar taste in Bangalore (I have tried many). Good taste, ambiance and hygiene makes it a perfect combo for me. Let's not talk about the blast or the raid at Hyd, these are a one-off occurrence and won't be happening again since they seem to have taken measures to avoid such situations at their restaurants.
