So having all of these seats do you prefer the Saddlemen over the Mustang? I would assume the Mustang is way more comfortable but given the description it sounds like the Saddlemen is a compromise but fits all your needs between style and function.
I would say that up to 3-4 hours in the saddle the mustang and step up would feel the same ! Longer than 4 hours the Mustang would probably be a better choice due to the fact that it’s wider and has the back rest ! Now comparing this new Touring Saddlemen seat with the Back rest against the Mustang with back rest - I don’t know the answer to that yet !

Beautiful seat. The only thing I don’t like is with there seats I feel like I’m sitting on top of my bike if you can understand what I’m saying it’s just way too thick for me

Sandy, I hope you and your family and friends are keeping safe and well, Great looking 👀 SADDLEMAN SEAT 💺, I purchased my Deuce in 1999/2000, and I changed it for something else about a year later, cannot remember the name, But in 2002 , I purchased a SADDLEMAN SEAT, and never look back, I found it extremely comfortable, And written it on a few but crack rides. 😂, and always found it very comfortable, Even my ex thought, it was comfortable as well, and happily she’s no longer about, as she was the main reason why I had to sell my bike in 2019 , it was like somebody cutting my arm off , I’m now approaching 72 years young, and in two weeks time, I am going to look at a another DEUCE , hopefully I be purchasing it, and I 100% guarantee that within a month it will have a new seat, and guess what make it will be, SADDLEMAN , ride safe, Look forward to seeing you up-and-coming event on your new bike, 🚲, electric, ⚡️ 😂, gliding blue, peace out, from the moulin.
SDC is same design( I think) as the step up that I have and has a very small non adjustable back rest . I tried it out and it didn’t feel good on my lower back .

I love my backrest and pretty much refuse to ride without it but when I had my Softail I had a kuryakyn backrest that attached to my docking points so I didn’t have to change seats

Sandy, I bought a Saddlemen Explorer a couple of years ago. Very comfortable on long rides. You will be very happy with it.

Back rest is mandatory for me... also, Mustang seat for me. Saddleman seats remind me of the old stepped chopper seats with the tall sissy bar.
