Peak District Wild Group Camping Adventure

- Myself, Moley @CampingRulesOkay, Paul @AnIdiotOutdoors and Moley's friend Noah went wild camping in the Peak District recently, and had a whale of a time. Not exactly stealth camping, but amazing scenery, a tunnel, big poles, some Camp Cooking With Tim where I try and be all Julia Childs Goes Camping with some fancier food while a bit drunk, a Side Quest of fetching water from the River Wye, discussons about fire pits and alcohol stoves and general silliness.
And I try not to slip and fall (I failed three times, only once on camera) I even brought lights, ooh fancy! A big step up on the production values! I also show off my new mod to my Osprey - the Viper Stuffa pouch.
Warning - you might have guessed from the thumbnail, no swear words bar one 'shite' that slipped through, but this one has some..err, slightly adult drunken themes! Mostly adult banter, nothing really bad, but it's definitely not PG rate. I blame the tequila and my brandy ;-)
Features the Monsal Trail, Headstone Tunnel, and Monsal Head...beautiful ex-railway viaduct and the River Wye. Amazing scenery - shame about the idiots in it ;-)

Hi, I'm Helen, Moley's wife. I really enjoyed watching your video. I loved the dramatic music as you walked up the hill 😂 The banter between you guys was hilarious & it was very interesting to see it from your perspective.
Hi - glad you liked it! Yes I wanted to get the humour aspect, and not censor it too much, there was a lot of funny banter that was a bit near the knuckle but too hilarious not to put in. I'm sure my audience can cope with that 🙂
And the dramatic bit was a tongue-in-cheek - but also real, I was quite worried about that climb in the mud as I'd fallen off-camera coming down. But I know of people who put scary music on their vids that's OTT, and wanted to parody that!
That was thoroughly enjoyable! Such a treat to get yours and @AnIdiotOutdoors perspective of our trip. I can't wait to do it again! 👍😁❤️
Sign me up for the next one! Really enjoyed this...only problem is catching all the swears (I missed one...'shite' via Noah ;-)
Excellent video! Just watched it all the way through including the suspenseful climb up the muddy path. Nice to see the air pump finally working, us having the tequila slammer, following the wood fire tutorial... and the Saturday afternoon walk along the disused railway track too. Very good to talk with you about life in general over the weekend. Good times! 🥃
Yes it was great to meet you - and I had a good - if damp - time!
Geoff (expat) watching you from Minnesota US. What a delightful video, a most enjoyable watch of real-life outdoor action and lots of fun in-between. Not only did all of you enjoy yourselves but 'we' the viewers/subscribers enjoyed it too. It is so comforting to watch the natural reactions of friends participating in their passion for the outdoors and hiking and camping together. A warm close community created around the campfire. You must repeat another gathering of you Guys, maybe up in the Lakes or Scotland, it would be a blast!...not only for you...but for us watching.
We are talking about a rematch, looks like it will be this summer, depending on schedules. I am very much up for it!
i'm so glad i found your channel! please upload more of this raw videos. i also love your VCR style intro. Keep it up! 😊
I love his style of editing too, very retro 👍
Thank you! And yes I come from the era of VHS and tape, where I first started to shoot video, so definitely will stay ;-)
'Titanium Tim' on Tequila ;) great vid, thanks Tim
LOL shh, you'll start a nickname!
Brilliant video Tim! Love the retro VCR looking start as already been mentioned. Looks like you had a great hike before I met you guys. Some fantastic views I must say! The part where you had the dramatic music as you climbed the hill on the way way reminded me of an onld western movie 😂 Thouroughly enjoyed, cheers Tim 🫡
It was kind of a spoof of some of the channels which use dramatic music like that, but I wanted to build something minor up as a challege :-) Reminds me, I forgot the music credit...
@harduphiker I watched it in three parts...... I hate it when little things like work get in the way of me doing things like watching TH-cam videos 🤪🫡
@@AnIdiotOutdoors that's why I tend to split things up, but this one made no sense to be in parts :-)
@@harduphiker you did a great job putting this together. Made me feel like I was back there again watching this 🫡
I don't know if the area we climbed into is even a restricted spot, the OS map shows it as mostly open access. The spot where we climbed is definitely open access, but where we camped is on the border so not sure about that bit...
As @AnIdiotOutdoors pointed out, no signs, so hard to say. I stay out of places that are obviously 'private' and signed, but this is definitely a grey area....especially as other types of fences are usually more to keep cows in or deer out than stop people.
Finally! I've been waiting for this for far too long 😉 I can't believe you kept the bit about double fisting in! 😯
LOL I wasn't sure about that bit (hence the warning in the description), it's faintly in Paul's, but I thought the reference would go over the head of innocent folk and kids ;-) Also the intro makes it fairly clear there will be adult banter!
The tense soundtrack on the climb out was great 🤣. What was Noah doing with that tree !?
Wind break, I was worried about the wind and my tent as mine was one of the most exposed and my tent hates wind as a tension tent.
lol - can't say I'm surprised there was a logical explanation xD@@harduphiker
@@sparker68 Noah is lovely like that...and he got all the wood for the firepit.
