In a no emissions county, I am the 10% yu speak of that suffers from the current tuning, compared to 5 years ago. It's legal for me to build the car without an air pump, my tgv deletes, full catback, and tuned. I had the AP during breakin, greenspeed rolled out, and was forced to tune open-source.
Well its changed a lot in the last few years considering you can buy a 10 second M3P for just about the same price as a top-trim WRX, rendering chasing power mods on a daily essentially pointless :P In terms of builds, here it feels like things are easier with even more CARB parts on the market, the swap scene having easy guides/assistance with BAR certification, and the crowd that intentionally wants to break the rules moving on to other life persuits.

The 21 STI has a locking driver's seat belt too. I do the same thing that Jeremy described.
