- If you experience problem installing driver for tablet XP-Pen Artist 10s And you are getting "No tablet was detected" error message even though your tablet is connected to computer and working. Here is now to fix the issue. I hope it helped you.

Had the same problem with the Artist 16pro. It makes a lot of difference what driver you download. For me the "Star 03/G430S, Deco 01/02/03 & Artist15.6, 16 Pro driver for Win" worked instantly.
My hero! Your comment made me go back and double-check what driver I downloaded and sure enough, I accidentally downloaded the non-pro version instead of the pro. THANK YOU!

If you don't get the popup after hitting factory you can launch the program by going into the folder you downloaded and running DFU

No online fixes to the "No tablet was detected" problem seemed to work. Then figured out that the usb connection had to be redone. Plugging the usb back in fixed it. As simple as that! Make sure that both ends of the usb cable are properly connected, one that connects the tablet monitor to the CPU. Worked for me.

I have this same issue with my XP pen artist 16...And I have tried these methods,but still my tablet is not detected
For me personally, I found I downloaded the wrong drivers. The ones for the basic and pro version of my tablet were different

I have the same problem with XP-pen deco 01 v2, but just there AFTER installing the driver, when I am opening the driver icon, there righting "connect the device", but my tablet is connected to notebook

Yes but you need different firmware for your tablet. Contact xp-pen, they will provide it

@@anamikapaul8300 got it sorted. You need to plug the tablet into the computer BEFORE you switch it on. It should pair automatically.

Everyone, I used the Artist 12, and had this issue for a while. I realised it was actually me being stupid, and having the red and black usbs the wrong way around. Just double check this :)

For some reason when I open the firmware updater it asks me if i want to open it, I click yes and then nothing happens, also the information on the side of that screen is not visible for me, can someone help me?
@Valmor make sure you are downloading the OSU version of the drivers. That helped me

(I'm on windows 10 but maybe it could work on mac)
I needed to plug the red usb in the extension cord instead to put it directly on my laptop. Then I reinstalled the driver, and turned my laptop back on. (it wasn't working at first, I waited for the night and this morning it was working).

I did everything you said, when I click on open, the other box does not pop up, I can't progress after that. Please help, I am really frustrated, my Wacom was uninstalled, I tried drivers from the legit site, I tried your tutorial, I get to the open part, the first pop up after pressing factory button but then there's no second pop up box.

Guys. Guys.. calm down. I fixed the issue! If you are getting the can't detect tablet issue, PLEASE make sure you have all the cords plugged in the right places. I had the adapter cord plugged everywhere else except the adapter. It immediately found the tablet, updated from the CD and the site, works with zero problem. Just check your connections!

It's beyond my abilities to help you with this. You have to ask xp-pen for assistance, they are helpful.

I would ask XP-Pen directly, that's how I figured out how to do it on the 10s
I had the same problem...but I was trying to install wrong drivers...Make sure you have the wright ones!!!!

@Valmor hey all, I got in contact with support and after many emails I found that my tablet was in fact broken. If you have a warranty you’re able to get it replaced but I wasn’t too fortunate.

It's funny how my 10 year old Cintiq 12WX works okay, but my XP-Pen 13.3 won't. Wasted my money. It's a shame.
I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get the display to function properly. Even with calibration, the pen would still drag itself.
So I returned mine.

I've the same problem with that model. Did you resolve it?
The only "solution" I came up with was leaving the 3-in-1 XP PEN cable plugged into the back of my PC while allowing the USB-C cable end to pass thru to the front of my PC case. My AMD graphics card doesn't seem to be able to reconcile having 3 monitors being plugged into it. (I already have two 24" IPS monitors connected to it for dual viewing) My initial goal was to retain my dual monitor set up while using my XP PEN 15.6 to Mirror my first monitor for sketching, but it just was not gonna happen. So my current setup is still the same with my dual monitors. The only thing I do now is leave my XP PEN 15.6 unplugged when not in use. But when I need to work on it, I plug it in and turn off my 2nd monitor. It's only a workaround but I can live with that. I would have opted to get the bigger 22" XP PEN monitor to replace one of my two 24" monitors but I was on a budget and I wanted portability, as well as not having to deal with a ton of wires. The 15.6 model I purchased only requires that One USB-C end to plug into my PC for signal and power which is great.

Same issue for me currently. It works perfectly with my laptop, but not on my desktop computer. The light will blink a couple of times, but my computer still doesn't recognize that it's plugged in.

XP-pen 22E Pro message: "cannot detect the tablet" nothing works tried switching USB ports, reinstalling driver software same result, this driver software sucks, pad useless without being recognized.

@@@codddddy Yes I had installed incorrect version drivers, this corrupted something, I tried uninstalling them, installing the beta drivers, etc, finally I used a backup to restore my system to before the bad driver install, now with the correct drivers installed it worked and everything works well, no problems.
@@nixter1nixter1 hi Nix, where did you found the driver ? Because, i've the artist 15.6pro, and the driver didn't work. I think i need an older driver and the xp-pen support is too slow to answer....
@@cyrilguichard9494 - Same issue but with the regular 15.6. Have tried everything under the sun, uninstalled and installed drivers, changed settings in preferences to make sure all the PenTablet app support files are listed under permissions, basically done everything that xp-pen has listed in their FAQ's and nothing has worked. Just keep getting the "Device Not Found" on PenTablet. Any luck with yours?

It might work, but you gonna need a different firmware. Just ask xp-pen for firmware.
It was a cable problem for me, I mixed up my usb cables. Once I switched it out to the factory one, it worked, like wtf...

What connector are you looking for, there's a few of them.

You need to get firmware for your device.
I'm having this same problem with my Cintiq Pro 13 "device not detected"
Check Wacom website for files and manual on how to fix it. If you can't find it contact them directly, I'm sure they will be able to help you.

1) If you want to do this in 2022 you absolutely need to contact XP-Pen and get the latest firmware from them!!
2) Make sure you have correct firmware for your model of tablet.
3) Do not try to upload my firmware to tablet that's other than XP-Pen Artist 10s. You WILL brick your device.
