Never as a kid of the 80’s and 90’s would I have ever thought that some day I’d be able to play all of these games in my home. Although I have a decent selection of arcade and pinball machines, I’ve never been able to have a lot of shooter’s because of how much space they take up. These multi shooting systems keep on getting better and better and are enticing me to “pull the trigger” on one.
I couldn't agree more, as someone who collects a fair amount of original arcade games, it's hard to collect shooting cabs since most of them are so large in size. So having access to solutions like this really works well and while it's not original, I'm ok compromising on something like this. Thanks so much for watching!
Not supporting the Sinden is a miss…..
Agreed, thanks for posting this comment as I was tempted to buy this setup as I have Sinden light guns but now I read your comment and you saved me!
I've been using his drive a few weeks now,his updates are turning it into something special.Free update every month with new games and constantly updating the drive. What is not to love
I couldn't agree more!
Great video Ralf! Pretty thorough review as always. The build looks really cool. Thanks!
The VHS / TV gun games were used in the TV show Captain Power, where the toys were the light guns. They were really fun, and kept you watching the TV show so you could play during the credits. Such a great idea!
Ya it was super neat. Blew my mind back in the day. Still have those toys.
I'm late to the party but like all your videos is well worth it. I totally geeked out over this my friend.
I was just at at D&B yesterday that still had HotD: Scarlet Dawn and Elevator Action Invasion. The (new) RetroShooter and KrisCoolMod looks like a relatively affordable way to get into a very capable lightgun rig. Great demonstration of what it is and what it can do! Like you said, the fact it supports multiple guns, you can start with the affordable option, and upgrade if you find it necessary. Above all, impressed that Kim appreciated that you were baked into the user interface for the build.
Thanks so much for watching man, I'm always impressed when someone in the community puts something together like this. It's fairly complex to make all these peices parts work together this seamlessly, I mean it's not flawless but nothing really is when it comes to stuf like this. Anyway, thanks so much for watching brother! I hope all is well!
I appreciate that Teknoparrot set up man. That is always a PITA. Great video bud.
Thanks man, I really appreciate you watching!
Need to review Lee's lightgun legends build over 700 games. I threw lizards in the bin after getting that drive. I think he partners with intergrum. So looking forward to next review.
Where can you download or buy?
Last summer I played Invasion in Barcadia in Kingston Ontario. I looked on their website and still listed. It was a pretty fun game
Awesome 👍👍. Nice build
I LOVED Lucky & Wild, a hybrid of a shooter and a driving game, kinda like Chase HQ. As a kid, we'd fit three of us in the bench seat instead of two. We'd have one person on each gun and then one guy focused just on driving, for maximum focus!
Dang it, retroralph got me again. First the retro shooter Pandora’s box, now this!
This looks awesome!
We gotta get your gun some love soon man ✊🏻
Nice job ralph …and Chris
Yes, the Action Max had games on VHS. It had a second box that you connected to keep score and it had a wired flashing red light with a suction cup to stick on your TV. It would flash when you hit a target.
It's crazy when you see something like that, and it instantly brings back memories. Thanks so much for watching!
I'm currently in the process of building a comprehensive light gun setup with a semi-automatic (excuse the pun) setup for Sinden, Gun4IR, Retro Shooter, AimTrak, Wiimotes and Blamcon light guns. I wouldn't charge a single penny for it either if someone wanted it after it was completed
I'm down.
Hi I'm after ak69 recoil Gun4ir if could help please I will pay
Really good video. I have a Retro Lizard light gun build. I’m very happy with it the support is excellent. I met you at the Schaumburg Pinball expo in Illinois. I was with my brother-in-law anyway good stuff.🔫👍
Thanks brother! I’ve only checked out his Batocera image that I found on Arcade Punks for the Sinden but it was really good. I’m glad you’re happy with his build, I have heard nothing but good things about his builds as well. It was nice meeting you man, you going to expo again this year?
Probably I love checking out the new arcades and pinball machines. There was a bowling machine there I really liked but I thought it was too expensive.
2:15 The Intro to the Build is off of one of my Favorite Synthwave songs.
Its Miami Nights 1984 - Accelerated
cMarvel my guy!!!! I hope all is well man, always smile when I see you in the comments man! I hope life is good brother!
His new update adding sinden pedals is amazing
Wild Gunman, I played a few times in Circus Circus, Las Vegas, maybe it was a conversion? But it was in a Nintendo Cab, because I remember how cool it was, since we had it for the NES.
Is this preconfigured for a 4K TV? Especially like for TeknoParrot games?
yo...dope and informative video. Can you go over setting up 2 light guns and demo'ing it? Thanks dude!
I'm in on this just because of the Action Max games... I wanted that so badly and got it for Christmas, and BOY was I disappointed. I really need to re-live the pain I felt playing through all of those terrible VHS light gun games.
Man, time crisis is my favorite game! 😎👍🏾
You may have covered this in the video and I missed it but was it easy to add to the Xtreme cabinet? TY love all your videos.
Great Video!!!. What size screen is that? Trying to find out how big should I go. I ordered my guns already and have the Biohazzard build ready to go. I have been looking at Kriscoolmods version. His version looks insanely good.
Just ordered that terminator gun today from Raymond at RPEG can’t wait
Ralph what’s up brother great review video very informative but quick question do the pedals for the retro shooter work on this build ? for games like Time crisis or is everything
Configured to the gun and you have to duck by hitting the button on the side of the gun ?
Cool video, i might get them retroshooter guns for my pc. Will they work on a 75” tv do you know?
Thanks for the review! Two questions:
1.) Is Mame Hooker included and already configured as part of the build?
2.) Could you please confirm if the gun tracking is accurate in Model 2 games such as Virtua Cop and House of the Dead, especially when you get towards the edges of the screen? The M2 emulator is notorious for requiring convoluted manual calibration steps to have accurate tracking in gun games, so I was wondering if any additional calibration is required for M2 games in this build.
It would be greatly appreciated if you can cover those points in your upcoming Integrum Retro build review as well. Many thanks!
great video. How do these systems work and if possible with two players ?
You can navigate through the menu with the Retro shooter gun as well
Detroit love in the houseeeeeeeeeeeee!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome build. I wish it had support for Sinden... I already invested in couple of those .... :/
Now I got to find a PC for this!
Chris cool mod was in my chat the other night on my live.
Now I know why Sinden is appealing with a cabinet. I had to rip mine apart to fit the sensors in. But I love the gun4ir. I just got the Rambo riffle with 24volt recoil, and it rocks. Sinden just does not work well.
wild gunman was a photo slideshow based game in the 70s in the arcade
what cabinet is that setup you're using? it's gigantic I love it
Is there a minimum spec PC to run those newer games? And do they make Big Buck Hunter style guns where you pump to reload? This is awesome.
Ralph have you noticed any freezing or stalls after you close out your gun software when usingthe retro shooters on pc? Mine act up on 2 pc’s at times with the RS guns
I have a spare gaming laptop that id love to turn into a gaming cabinet arcade including lightgun games. What kind of PC would i need to get something like this working.
@retro ralph I see you added the Retrobeast drive to your Extreme Cabinet. Thanks for doing this awesome review btw, this looks like a fairly awesome turnkey solution that is loaded with many awesome light gun games that we've all dreamed of having in one place.
For noobs that are not even remotely as experienced as yourself, how hard/ easy is it to add the KrisCoolMod Retrobeast 2TB LightGun drive to a newly built built Extreme Gaming Cabinets 50" Lightgun Arcade Shooter Cabinet, with GUN4IR guns and leds? I understand their factory cabinet includes 270 games but as you demonstrated there are an absolute tone of lightgun games on the Retrobeast drive.
Action Max reminds me of Captain Power. I still have those light-gun toys!
I had Captain Power too, I really wish I still had it just to remember how it was. Didn't he fly out of the ship when you got damaged too much or am I thiniking of something else?
@@RetroRalph yep!! When your PowerJet XT7 took too many "hits". I actually still have most of the toy line and a couple original boxes for them! And a few VHS tapes of that came with them!
I got excited that it had Silent Scope till I realized it's just emulating console versions. I was hoping the arcade ones were playable, so I could make something to get the scope and stream it to a gun-mounted display
Also, most of the console SIlent Scopes aren't playable / emulated correctly. Only the second one is, so having 1 and 3 on here is worthless / deceptive bloat.
Does this hook to your tv?
Is the arcade experience exponentially worth it when it costs so much?
Curious as to how powerful of a PC will I need to run some of these newer games? I still only have a 1080ti. Also, as a Trekkie and light gun fan, I’m here for the Voyager game 🖖🏻🔫
I have an older gaming laptop with a 1080 and it runs everything on this drive pretty well. I hope that helps, I will talk a bit more about PC specs in some of my upcoming videos. That’s a great question and an awesome topic for a follow up video. Thanks so much for watching!
For HOTD Scarlet Dawn, you will need a 1080. For most of these, especially non-PS3 games, you could get by with a 1030
@@HeHateMe36you do not need a 1080 for Scarlett Dawn. I run it fine on a 1060. If I remember correctly, I've also ran it fine with a 1050ti.
Whats the input lag like with the retro shooter on pc? How does it compare to sinden?
Hey Ralph, it's even better if you use mamehooker with terminator salvation 😉
where do you get an arcade with all these shooters on it
Good Review. Although 349.00 is a little pricy. Kinhanks full12 tb hyperspin attract that everything works is even less than that at 275, But good job Chris!
Hi, just a question, do you have a video on how to connect the retro beast 2tb to the arcade joystick and buttons? Tks
Love your videos. Can you please rate, if you have tested, in your experience: AimTrack, Sinden, Gun4ir, Retro Shooter, and for reference a Wiimote, in:

Thanks!!!!!!!!
Scanned all the comments and didn’t see this asked but would this build allow you to use Retroshooter for P1 and Gun4Ir for player 2? Like mix and match guns?
Hey buddy...thanks for making this video. Really cool. Correct me if I am wrong, That link you have posted is just for the 2TB HD with the games correct? And it does not include the Lightguns. Also Can you tell me from your experience if these games can run on something like this: Beelink SER5 MAX Mini PC, AMD Ryzen 7 5800H(7nm, 8C/16T) up to 4.4GHz, Mini Computer 16GB DDR4 RAM 1TB NVME SSD, Micro PC 4K@60Hz Triple Display, Mini Gaming Computer WiFi6|BT5.2|54W|HTPC|W-11 Pro? Thanks in advance.
where can I get this machine gun for my arcade?
so I already own the integrum build, and he uses a much lesser quality SSD enclosure. It still wasn't cheap I haven't booted it up in a while but I can't remember if he has a teknoparrot folder, I will have to double check. but this looks like a solid build, but how come no time crisis 4 under tekno? that was a game I was able to setup and play myself. i even ordered a dual pedal thing off ebay for it lol
He does have TP, at least the latest version does (got my drive in December)
Yes he does
@@adamchace
I would like if you could review Lee’s Light Gun Legends build he claims he has over 900 light gun games
Please send a link for where i can get the terminator light gun
Shame this review has now been sullied with defamatory behaviour of a rival. I'll order this drive today!!!! Thanks u
No one listens to retro lizard anyway😂
@@Stillgrey18 good idea
@@Stillgrey18I thought about buying a drive from him at one point but he just strikes me as a complete douchebag. Just couldn't bring myself to give him my money.
@@HeavyInstinctI agree the man has never had a reality check off some one.Rude and obnoxious.
Is there a way to use this with steam deck and retro shooter guns?
This is pretty tempting! What kind of PC specs are required? His site doesn’t list them from what I can see.
I just put this together top of my mind, but these specs should play about everything... of course you could always go bigger, but that should play most of the modern (ish) TP games.
Intel i7 3.4-3.9 GHz CPU
16GB RAM+
SSD Boot Drive or M.2 NVMe
Nvidia GTX 1650 Graphics
@@RetroRalphthanks Ralph! This may be my next project.
@@RetroRalph A GTX 1650 can handle TP? Didn't expect that. So looks like a beelink SER7 with 780M would be a perfect mini pc/tv combo for this.
❤❤❤❤ 😮AWESOMENESS BRO
is that Canadian dollars at checkout or USD?
Anyonr have that T2 bezel they can share? Looks awesome
I WONDER WHAT THAT SHAR-KADE LOGOS ABOUT ? 😊
If terminator salvation is part of the game included with it, and not where I need to be a patron to get it. Then I will definitely buy it.
This is a techno parrot requirements and has nothing to do with this light gun build. Unless you think kris coolmod is going to pay your patreon membership for you?
@HeavyInstinct sorry so I don't get it you need the patreon to use techno parrot no matter if Is this build or a different one?
@@TCBurns24 Not quite. TeknoParrot is free to all regardless of whether it's on this build or someone else's including your own. However by paying a monthly donation through patreon they give you early access to certain newer games (within the emulator) that they are still working on making compatible with the emulator like Terminator Salvation (You or whoever created the build still has to supply the actual game files). So in essence you're paying to be a beta tester. These games will eventually be unlocked and available to play in the free version. So you can either wait it out or choose to pay for early access.
Could anyone tell me what kind of price pc would cost to run the more advanced games on here?
Hi Ralph , you mentioned that there is a fee for some of the Teknoparrot games. How much does this cost? Great Video.
Thanks bud, while I can't disclose that exactly, you can just google Teknogods Patreon and find what you need. There are several options and the cheapest options allows you a license for two separate PCs I believe. I hope this helps :-)
Thank you
Soooo.. How is the lag with the RetroShooter on PC compared to the Sinden?
No lag as far as I’ve noticed.
have you ran across anyone who is making a stock for the retro shooter gun like the sinden that i've seen everywhere
I set HOTDSD unlimited ammo, health, Gatling gun, Rocket Launcher and play all the way through. Sometimes unlimited ammo rocket launcher gets stuck firing in the corner and you have to restart the game.
Retroshooters are pretty good & at a fair price.
Hi guys. I just bought an Xbox One X and I can emulate all arcades and many consoles with it. Can someone suggest the best light guns that can work with the One X? Thanks.
Did you get to try the pedals that came with the retro shooter?
I have, if you go to my original Retro Shooter review I show them off a bit. th-cam.com/video/J_Gp5HtfsA0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9voCPIBF2ozYFNEu
@@RetroRalphI think he was more wondering if they work with this build or not?
OMFG CANIBLE CORPSE NEW ALBUM IS AMAZING LOL
... The up arcade electric change game how get that
@Retro Ralph,
This is certainly an impressive image...but I cannot believe that a (or multiple) C&D's haven't been already been issued. I know there is clearly precedent, but selling a fully loaded image has got to be a dubious proposition. Notwithstanding the true legalities:
You are correct, the hours upon hours of getting light gun games to run can be absolutely exhausting and this image makes it a VERY straightforward process. Unfortunately, it is only compatible with light guns I do not own. Why no Mayflash Dolphin Bar, AimTrak or Sinden support?! (all of which I own, of course). If Blamcon ever gets to market, then I might just have to drown my integrity and consider this option.
All that said, you have provided a great overview and tutorial!
Brent
I wanna add light guns but I'm on a 300$ budget so I've been doing as much research as I can but cannot figure out which guns to get. Anyone with some directional input on which to buy let me know
I've been doing alot of research too and am leaning towards retroshooters with the pandoras box to start then upgrade to pc and something like this down the road to get better games
What cabinet is that @1:15?
scarlet dawn works without patreon now just a heads up
hey I noticed in the background that you got some pinball covers on your pinball machines. please forward me where ya got them, so I can get me some for my pinball machine....thx
Stern makes them. You can get them through any Stern dealer.
Nice Video ! Sub & Big Like ! And Love Retro Games !
Do you know if there are plans to support Sinden any time soon?
They used to be supported but it was so inconsistent with buggy software Kris stopped offering support. I bought 2 Sindens to play on my full RB set up and it was very hit and miss which games worked. I ended up giving up and getting Retroshooter guns which work really well and are fully supported.
Can you use a mini PC with this hard drive ? Or do you need a beast PC?
YES…I have his 2 TB Lightgun drive running on my MINIS FORUM UM790 pro mini pc. It has the Ryzen 7940hs chipset and its FLAWLESS
Cannibal corpse!!! 🤘 Lol. I wish they had something to download that actually worked. I tried a build that didn't work. Nothing else works with the Retro shooter.
There’s a lot of games on their list that are either poorly emulated or not at all. Silent Scope 1 & 3, Ghost Squad Evo for Teknoparrot, the list goes on… But looks like a solid build overall.
There was a Wild Gunman arcade came out 1974 and had light gun
I've been testing the integrum build with retro shooters and it's a no-go. MAME mappings are off. 2nd player only works on a handful of emulators. Scotty Retro's build works a little better with retro shooters imo but still has issues with MAME, and some of the roms don't run as well as on integrum (like time crisis 3, which is washed out on Scotty's build). If you have the retro shooters, after weeks of testing, I think Kris is the only build that will work properly across all games with a 2 player setup.
“Wild Gunman was Not released in the arcade.” - Makes me want to make a custom Wild Gunman arcade cabinet.
Be nice to see s.c.u.d. the disposable assassin on one of these setups
I WHAT ABOUT NEXTICK LIGHT GUN , SHOUD I BUY IT ?
Honestly, I don't know a lot about that project, I backed it but in the videos, I was a bit concerned about the latency. I love the idea of a wireless lightgun though, I can't recommend it at this point though, I just don't know enough about it.
Nice cab who made that
It’s from Xtreme Gaming Cabinets Australia 🇦🇺 . They also now have an Xtreme Cabinets USA 🇺🇸 location in Maine. If you google it their websites should come up for you.
This is really cool, but honestly, I'd like the option to just buy the image and not have to get a whole had drive shipped out to me. I do recongnize that there is A LOT of work in this. Setting all that stuff setup properly is a pain in the butt.
Where can we buy the T2 gun ?
Reach out to Ray over at RPEG electronics: rpegelectronics.com
thanks a lot dude @@RetroRalph
Is it better than retrolizards build?
I’ve never used his build other than the public sinden one so I can’t really say 🤷🏻♂️
@@RetroRalph thanks for the reply 🙏
@@vilhelmstein2091 I will have to check it out; thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
SINDEN for the win. Batocera friendly out of the box. Was playing many games in minutes of unboxing.
the whole gaming field is such a criminal act
I got this drive and can't currently recommend it. It doesn't change the Gun4IR screen mode, so you don't have perfect aim in MAME. There's also no way to easily disable the crosshair across the board in all emulators, requiring separate manual configuration for each emulator (sometimes individual games). There's other stuff too that could use improvements, but not going to list out everything here.
The Integrum Retro drive is much more polished and doesn't install so much unnecessary stuff on your system, like Wallpaper Engine. It's also a bit cheaper.
Why was I so surprised that ralph knows about cannibal corpse lol
In High School the dude that sat behind me in Science class was a Cannibal Corpse super fan... LOL. He also made sure I knew about every song, every album and every music video. So yeahhhhhhhhh... haha. He also brought me home from school a few times in his Camaro and guess what was in the tape deck.... LOL!
