Something out of Nothing - Inspiration!

- Came across Abu the Flutemaker in Baltimore truly making something out of nothing and was super inspired. He's playing a homemade saxophone/bass clarinet made from PVC pipes. Genius. Definitely maximizing the minimal and bringing joy into the world through music. This made me reflect on how much we take for granted, how much we waste.

I dont wanna break the 555 likes 🥺
HE needs to have a TH-cam channel to show how he made it.
He has one
@@onechampion4128 what is it
Man I can see how he made everything but the mouthpiece. And that's where the sound really comes from.
@@joeythreeclubs i could be wrong, but it looks like hes just buzzing into that part of the pipe like you would on the mouthpiece of a brass instrument
It's a membrane clarinet. Nicolas Bras shows how to make one on his channel
When you got soul like this guy, you can make ANYTHING sound good!👊🏽👍🏽
A bad musician blames his instrument, a good one turns things into instruments.
I feel attacked
I also feel attacked but agree whole heartedly
That something I've always been told by instructors and teachers over the years: "The bad craftsman blames their tools"
I mean, sometimes the instrument which you are using is really crap, but in the end I do agree overally with that.
E.g. there is a cook, he/she can be very good but if the ingredients are total crap, the cook will try to make the best out of it but it will still be kinda crap.
“I have never been more offended with something I 100% agree with”
This guy is so talented and very creative. True musician.
Facts
I watched u vids btw can u pls give me a shout out i have 9 subs
Really? He's in a society with all kinds of resources, puts some PVC together, and is incredibly talented and creative?
I don't see your response now, but it's not a question of not being able to afford a sax. There's several other videos of this guy with other homemade instruments. I think it's neat and fun, and I'm glad to see someone enjoying their hobby. But all these comments with superlative praise seem absurdly condescending, and I'm sure if it was a white guy people would say neat and that's about it. Considering the huge number of brilliant black musicians in the US, that seems absurd to me.

@Rei Ayanami Fair point. That's why I didn't comment it. Good job on being faster.
@michael lynch I hate people like you. Why would you put down someone who works harder than anyone else just to eat? He didn't do anything wrong. He's just doing what he has to. You are judging too early, cause you don't know how long he has been standing there, and best part is the fact the we are watching him and listening.
Hugo Valdez This isn’t inspiring this is uninspiring-this genius is a nobody, fr? I hope he has serious problems bc if he’s just a normal enough guy to function in society after he cleans himself up and everything this is sad.

Some musicians choose to do this kind of stuff. Maybe he's one of them. He does look like a made man, so it's likely.
This man is a Genius!

Making PVC pipes sound like a Sax. Respect
Its good to see that people can make things out of stuff you would never think of. For example a instrument
He isnt homeless he is a travelling musician. He made that pipe trumpet to show his creativity
That is good, but i know cases in my country - in modern Russia history, when people became homeless or nearly begger being former scientists, actors or other talented people. I know examples when famous poets and writers from Uzbekistan or Tajikistan were found working in our building areas as lowcosted migrants with no rights (because had no work in their motherland). It is very shameful situation for all of us.
It's a sax 🎷
@@JustAnotherRussianDude bro, where and when have poets and writers ever not been poor?
@@vapeurdepisse in the country of my childhood - USSR - definitely they were not. There were nearly no homeless at all, if someone became the one - local authorities would help and at least provide a room in campus. If you do something necessary for the people - you always get payed. But one couldn't became as rich as, for instance, Joanna Rowling - there was no goal in the society to become a richman, a billionaire .

We can’t be sleeping on these poor people because in reality, some are richer than we’ll ever be.
Unless you're the "leader" of the country. Then PEOPLE like him are nothing more than burdens and rank on the same level as trash littering the streets.
For the record, I agree with you 100% but it's hard to move people to change when the highest office in the country wants to treat homeless people like they're less than human. People like this guy are a good reminder that we need to help eachother, we're all human beings.
