Going to the book store is also what I do and just perusing through my own mini library at home. I've recently picked up several children's books in different levels and it inspires me to start creating some of my own!

Good tips thank you! I just started learning KBP, considering a coloring book myself, yet do not have drawing skills so perhaps to avoid using pictures of the same artists from stocks maybe I should consider another type of books for a start.
I highly agree with knowing your niches. I started last month and I sold my first book a few days ago. And quality books is very important to. I have started designing my own books in niches I am passionate about and I see a great future with KDP.

I know it's really difficult to gauge the true impact of ads on sales because they can also have a knock-on effect on organic sales, but do you have a feeling for what proportion of your sales comes as a result of running ads?
Thank you Lorraine! You're right, it is difficult to say because I haven't dared to stop my ads and see if those books would still sell organically. I guess I could work it out. Something to put on my to do list!

Wow this is such a helpful video. I made 10 books in December and I sold 4 organic copies of my book in the Uk 🇬🇧😱 I’m gonna try running ads on that book and make some more books 📚🌈❤️

Hi this video is great. Do you have illustrations in your books and if so do you outsource this or do them yourself? I have a lot of knowledge and idea in a couple of areas to write the content but don’t think I could illustrate the books myself.

Thank you so much! There is no way to target a market specifically. I set my primary market as the USA but I still get more sales in the UK. It's completely up to the buyers decision. I don't mind which market performs better, I'm happy to sell in any market :)
