What kind of earnings can you expect in your first few months or your first year selling low content books on Amazon KDP? I can tell you what I learned in my first year of low content book publishing and the royalties that I earned each month. I hope that this will motivate you and show you what is possible.
As I always say, this is a process that can take time but it's worth the effort and the time, as you'll see in the video.

Publishing on KDP is an organic process, just keep uploading quality books, and sooner or later Amazon will pick up your books and provide you with extra income on autopilot. And... never worry about negative reviews 😉Thanks for sharing 🙏💖

It's so nice to learn from someone who isn't hyping up the speed of creation earnings and earnings. So many people are giving unrealistic expectations and charging thousands of dollars for courses that could take years to recoup if at all. My aim is to create books I want on my nightstand. Hopefully other people will want them too.
Sounds like a great plan, create books that you love and you can't go wrong.

Thanks so much for this, Nuria. I've only been placing books on Amazon for a little over a month and am disappointed that I'm not doing better. Whenever I feel a bit discouraged, I watch this and remember it takes time to build anything of quality. I've had several businesses during my lifetime and 4-5 years is when several finally took off and became successful. So far I've published one Breast Cancer Memoir and about 12 low content books. I do remember your words. Quality over Quantity. A must for any business. Thanks again. Oh...now working on creating my first audiobook (I am the narrator.). Having fun doing all of this, despite the HUGE learning curve.
Your journey sounds similar to mine! Don't ever get discouraged, you have achieved a lot already. As you say, this business takes time and in a way, what we do now, will pay off later.
Yes, but Nuria also said in another video that quantity comes in at the beginning in order to learn the process and be able to see which books work and which do not, which might mean which are quality and which are not. Kind of difficult to do quality consistently when we learn. Nuria said that her earlier books were not that great.
I thought I was doing something wrong as I had only had $13 in sales in my first month.. but then upon reviewing some channels like this for some tips, I've learned I'm just impatient and lucky lol

I love that attitude of let's not give up too early. Nuria, such an inspirational story it was the perfect timing for me to hear this as I started KDP in September 2020 and in the last 40 days I have not made any sales at all :(
I'm sorry to hear you haven't made any sales yet, but it really isn't unusual at the beginning. Try changing your niches or covers, always try new strategies until you find the one that works for you. Good luck, I know you will achieve this.

Hello, Nuria! This is my first comment here and I am very excited... I published my first low content (a daily journal) book on KDP on 14-th January this year, followed by another low content book, a coloring book and a travel book with beautiful photos. So, there are 4 books till now, and I work now at a second volume of that coloring book for children and adults as well. So far, no income, no sell! I was nearly to give up, before watching your video, but now I consider to think a little bit the next few days... Mean time, I began a little digital design photos on Print on Demand web sites (Spring, Printify), but with nou sales, so far... Thanks a lot for your nice and inspirational video, and, especially, for resources linked below the video!! Your voice is that of a great speaker in Parliament!! Thanks a lot!!
Every time I lose hope, I always go back to this video. I started publishing two weeks ago, and I had 1 sale so far. I'm lookngforward to Q4! As a first timer, I don't know what to expect in my first Q4! Hopefully my sales will increase also, just like it did to you! Hoping for the best!

I like how you said "my first books were not very good." It's so true. It's a learning experience. I don't like some of the ones I've made before I started learning more and I'm sure my designs are only going to get better.

Great to see your Journey Nuria - I had quite a first year as well. Like you, I also had one book take off and it's been my best seller ever since that first Q4! I do also now have other books that are getting closer to it, in terms of sales and reviews. I think there is somewhat of a snowball effect -- the amount of reviews I got during November/December seem to have helped a lot. I commented back in February with only a few months of KDP publishing under my belt. Sold a few books here and there. Now, it's May and I am happy to say that each day gets better and better. Yesterday, I sold 15 of one book I created.
the other day, I sold 20 of it. Plus other books as well. Many books are now selling that weren't. It will be interesting to see what happens now that summer is coming. I do recall you saying that this can be a slow time, so I am prepared. What will I do? Create some great Fall books! Thanks again, Nuria. You continue to be an inspiration for all of us. :)

Your video I published 3 low content books, well one is live so far and I can’t find my gratitude journal on Amazon at all even though it says live, so it was discouraging but I guess I have to just keep trying and making better books I really want to do more coloring books then anything

While my Niche has very low competition it also has a small audience. I make decent money but I'm not in your league. This video has me thinking about change. Thanks for being transparent! On average, how many books should I publish in a month? I haven't started KDP yet, but I'm doing my research to start soon.
July and August are traditionally NON SALES month unless you are specifically in an industry that caters to 'summer' somehow. Those two months are all about travel and going back to school. I've been selling on ebay/amazon for 20 years now and it's always been that way.

I wonder what your experience is selling the same LCBs non-exclusively to Amazon and elsewhere? Are there rules re: selling LCDs with my own logo/ branding on Amazon which could be considered merchandise?
Thank you so much for your kind comments! I don't sell my lcbs elsewhere as I like this business model. You can of course use your own ISBN and then get your books printed yourself on other platforms. There are people who do this successfully. I like the simplicity of selling on KDP.

I was just wondering if you could tell me the number of books you had created as at December 2019 and May 2020?
And how many books do you have today in your store?
I know the more books, the higher chances of sales.
Today I have around 560 books. I can't remember how many I had in December 2019 but I think it was around 20 or 30.
