The biggest factor to improve footwork speed is to strengthen your core to maintain torso stability during explosive movements and then learning to shift your centre of gravity as you move to maintain stability. The rest can follow after that.
@@ShuttleLife Hi, do you have any of your videos or link on diet and suppliment for badminton in particular. If so please post, else awaiting a wonderful video
Great video as always. I am unable to get the legs up folded during a jump smash. Would appreciate if you could help with a tutorial for jump smash with breakup please. Thank you
Hey can you give me an advice... My ankle got twist and i am having an akle sprain(normal not extreme level) for how much days i shouldn't play badminton and any other precaution or advice?? Please
And regarding this video.. i usually while starting the game jump and push my body towards the shuttle after hitting i slowly approach the courts mid (in which i hit the shuttle SLOWLY and after the opponent hits the shuttle a again jump and push my body towards the shutttle...(after hitting the SHOT slowly and relaxed coming in the MID COURT Really saves a lot of energy and gives you extrat PUSH while Approaching the NEXT SHOT? WHATS YOUR OPINION?PLEASE ANSWER BOTH QUESTIONS...PLS
Yeah sure, follow the routine in the end of the video. Not the strength part - but the part where i'm doing outside exercises. Do it 4 times a week for 1 month ;)
I want to ask something If we lob far away, do we have to see the ball fly first or run straight into the center of the yard? Im a little bit confused of this
You have to move back to the center accordingly to your opponent hitting the stroke. Don't reach the center before your opponent hit the stroke. Going to fast will make timing more difficult. High lift = Move slowly backwards, and land from split step exactly when your opponent hit the stroke.
Ur videos helped me a lot .....my age is 16 and i want to become a badminton player but how to tell parents for this i know that they will get convinced but i have not that much of courage to tell them 😥
In the defence and when you land from jump or or going to the net. Then you are using the whole feet. Otherwise if you are not in a ''huge'' defensive situation you should move on front side of feet
When I lunge to hit a shuttle to the right and a bit behind of me I push myself away. But for some reason I turn the part below my knee first and then push. Does anyone have a bit how to prevent this (a queue or something) besides practising it a lot. Because the result of this is that the upper inner part at the right knee kinda hurts after and during an intense match.
Hello Teuno, Sounds like a familiar problem to me aswell. I had the same problem, but i managed to get out of it. My focus was when doing my neutral stand, i point my toes a bit more outwards - and by doing that part over my knee already was rotated a bit. Other than that i began to do exercises to make me more aware of that region of my body - primary a lot of different flexibility + some strength exercises like squat. Now i tend to rotate more in my hip region than before , which minimizes the pressure on my knee tendons. Hope this makes sense.
@@ShuttleLife thanks for the reply. I will try the pointing the toes a bit more outwards. That's the same as I do in my squat because of my bonestructure. And stretching the not so fun but more and more apparently nessecary part of training badminton and in the gym.
Sometimes it is. Is it your bone structure? In ny case it was a lack of attention to the muscles. But yea the muscles is attached to our skeleton via tendons. So if you want to change your skeleton neutral position these types of muscles needs more attention cause i had never payed that much attention to them. Which causes me to feel stiff and sore around that region
@@ShuttleLife for squating teher where some tests I did from some powerlifting guide on how to find the right stance for your feet while squating. Different hips required different ways of standing according to them. For me it was a bit wider and toes to the outside. So I will try the toes pointing outside. And practice that on a low speed and increase it gradually. Thanks for your tips and story.
What makes it difficult to work with? This is not a practice, it's tips for you to be reflective about during training/matches/exercises. Hopes it make sense

Hey how to smash really closer to the net
Probably something about jumping and stretching your arm over your head. Take a look at the last video subject: stick smash

Sorry to hear that! When do you have a court to play on?
Do we need to do all 5 exercises or can we include one exercise in our schedule for 2 to 3 times a week...pls rplyyy...pls
You should definitely make a good combination between the exercises. Physcial and badminton. Just remember to do 1 day restitution
