So are you saying this particular song requires three-part harmony to be worth recording? Legg was a solo artist, and could only do three parts with multitracking, something I’m sure she didn’t want to do. I’m wondering how one decides which songs are suitable for a single voice and which are not. I think Legg had a pure, accurate voice which could stand the scrutiny a solo performance receives. Lesser singers need a trio or larger group to hide in. I doubt Mary Travers would bear comparison to Legg as a soloist.
I just found this singer. What a voice!
Great performance and sound of a great composition. Best ever performance of this song.
So Sincere😢 Thankyou 😊 Sweet Ms Betsy Legg✨🕯✨Delicios ❤
Beautiful
Isn't this A FANTASTIC SONG ????????
Beautiful version
Hello from Sweden 🇸🇪
MELHOR VERSÃO !! THANKS !! BRASIL
Beautiful version of John's song! I like this version better than the Peter, Paul, and Mary version.
GROSSARTIG
Peter Paul & Mary original version far superior. This version lacks the three part harmony which adds such emotional depth to the lyric.

Insightful to recognize only one voice in a recording. I stand in awe of your technical briliance.
For me, the solo voice adds to the loneliness, leaving on a jet plane without anybody there to chime in and offer support.
@@yugandali,
True. Great observation. The guitar also captures that mood.
