we were at the '73 Kezar show. I saw 200+ Dead shows & that is one of 2 that stand out above all the rest. Kezar deserves a nominee for best live GD venue, right there w/ the Greek, Frost, Red Rocks & Alpine Valley as my personal favorites wish there was video of this show ... it was special fun visually as well as all otherwise
Both shows have been released officially - 5/26/73 as a part of the Here Comes Sunshine box released in June 2023, and 3/23/75 is a part of the bonus disc that came with pre-orders of the Beyond Description box released in November 2004. Johnny B. Goode was not included in that bonus disc. This really is the first time I saw the old Kesar Stadium empty. Thank you yet again for this segment. I sure would like to see every full episode in order.
I was there in 75 and one memory i have is how stunning Grace Slick looked..Ticket was five bucks bye the way ..Had a chance to meet Willie Mays there and didn't, I regret that..

Got to "witness" the Wall-of-Sound and the Dead in Oct '73 in Madison WI.
Just about EVERYONE from my dorm went to that concert.
Had a fun day at SNACK concert! My first time seeing the Dead. I didn’t really know what to make of it but it was interesting.
I saw the Dead in March of '73. I was well dosed and with that wall of sound, it could have been the highest they ever got me. Wasn't that a time.
I never realized the kezar stadium I know isn't the same one the dead played, I saw it for the first time in 95
Jerry was in peak form here...
Trips me out thinking about it
I used to go to Kezar stadium for the free meal. The Krishna’s and the Diggers both fed people there.
I see you’re an original 11 Man!. Very cool. The Diggers were cutting edge. I’ve read Rigolevio by Emmett Grogan. Was one of Jerry’s favorite books.
@@striderranger7384 yeah mine too🙂. I met Peter Coyote once on set & he said his book is better though. He said Emmet fabricated a lot. Lol...
Was there May 26, 1973.
I was at the concert in 73 at kezar stadium. I'm still seeing trails.
You lucky dog!
@@dreamswedreamed happy trails to you
Krishna's!!!.What a memory..free lunch..dang DELICIOUS
Great vid, thanks so much!!!
Glad you liked it!
Led Zeppelin also played at the stadium in 1973.
Ok but Bob Weir waited for his girl to be of age lol so kind of cooler than Zeppelin
