Glad you put this out, more people highlighting the games issues the sooner the devs will open their eyes and start addressing these issues, and this game has potential to be massive but right now it's just not fun to play, and they clearly expect us to grind with how the ranked mode, battlepass, currency, and general progression works but if you make your game this grind heavy and it's not fun for anyone to play it feels more like a chore than a game and that's how you slowly lose your player base.
I didn’t return to this game competitively after the beta. I feel like that was the best version of the game, just needed quality of life changes and some tweaks, that’s all. The way they did my girl Harley was abysmal, I came back for a day and the shmovement of the game was destroyed and EVERYONE plays flowchart. It’s just disappointing, man.😭

Its so fucking sad hearing tymier talk about this game like this but damn i get it. To work hard on a fucking software engineering degree and try and make content off of the thing you fell in love with to enjoy and the only word you feel able to use to describe it is disappointed. I actually want this game to prosper so much but i guess this is kinda the harsh reality rn for many people

Im ok with the speed change and dodge mechanic…but the skill expression is bad the dev in charge of balancing should be fired. I main morty and they made him braindead with dirt spam ugh. Damn bro dirt in the beta used to be skillful to use with timing and distance would determine if they get hit towards you or away from you. Now its a damn brain dead scorpion get over here tool. They took the sauce away from everyone
PFG nerfed every character's sauce and I hate it. I tried so hard to advocate taking time to learn counterplay, but the weenies on Twitter constantly barking at Tony get everything nerfed. The patches feel borderline malicious. I got Smith early and was happy to have a character with some sauce even if he wasn't top-tier, but as soon as he goes live for everyone, he gets nerfed, and I haven't seen him once. I had to uninstall, I've never been the best at fighting games but I'll take getting my ass beat by Happy Chaos over falling asleep as I watch Finn and Iron Giant go for the same combo every 4 seconds.
The entire game has been structured to make you buy every stupid little thing. A lot of games do that already, but multiversus' most crippling problem is that once you get past the paywalls, there isn't much to do.
They completely drained all the fun outta this game they should’ve never took the game down and just kept giving good updates and dropping great hype characters. The game initially died because they stopped dropping good content after season 1, season 2 battle pass was weak and way too grindy and we stopped getting good characters skins, or ranked for months
Just wanna say . I still like it 😅. I loved Beta but im still okay with the official version. Im a Harley main as well . SamuraiJacks are kicking my ass tho .
The issue isn't that the game is too easy. The issue is that each character has a combo that excels way more than the others and you're forced to use that or approach much more slowly because avoiding the OP combo is hindering you.
Hype/fun vs competitive is different tho, but i agree about the combos. The sauce is gone and they keep removing combos instead of just increasing health or stocks or add scaling.
I think it should be illegal to allow me to buy mult skins and emotes in game and then nerf that character to the ground to where you have to change mains. Absolutely the biggest waste of money/scam
I'm one of the freaks that still plays this game. Its hard to recommend- there are glaring flaws like desperately needing a complete menu overhaul and still missing features from the beta; but the people that like this game really care about it. As long as the game is polished and balanced right it will probably stay alive.
I think the game might shamble on for a few years like a zombie but the state of the re release, the removal of sooo many features and the evil part of it that wants to frustrate you into spending money are the main reasons its headed to its grave. New players are not trying to spend 130 hours doing annoying repetitive shit to unlock the newest character or the alternative of spending 20 dollars to unlock ONE character, pfg need to attract and retain new players but its not going to work with the diabolical corporate greed laced within the entire game. Also if they’re gonna introduce whiff lag can we make it so that the concept of of being safe or u safe is consistent because the range you have to play in to punish moves is abysmal
I think the games biggest sin is the obvious greed, even for a free game, the beta version wasn’t trying to bleed your wallet to such an absurd degree. This issue bleeds into everything that is wrong with the game, from the grindiness to the multiple currency economy. Rifts felt horrible, missions felt horrible, events felt horrible, and you also had to deal with tons of features missing from the beta for no real reason like battle pass xp per match or post-game stats. The game is already at brawlhala numbers despite being a free crossover platform fighter that released just a couple months ago on steam, which I think is indicative of low interest in the game
I wish they would bring attack decay back. People spam moves like shaggys side kick for example. Plus, the game is a lot slower than the beta. It’s not even enjoyable anymore

Honestly i love and hate this game. I love it because of the characters and how they all have different moves, it makes this fighting game special. My reason for hating it is the inconsistency of the actual gameplay.
Garnet is the worst character in Multiversus. I always get hate for saying this, but it's true. Why do you think nobody plays her? Man, I miss the Beta.
Gotta also mention the lack of perks or signature perks diversity. To not only not add new ones after the beta, they removed most which allowed for versatility. To also not have any SBMM gotta make new people frustrated

I disagree with a lot of points made and am unclear avout the purpose of this video. I am shit at the game but I do enjoy many elelments of it, and although there are maaaany flaws I don't think every content creator putting out content videos "MVs is shit" is going to help. If anything it would make the game die quicker rather than solve problems (especially with majority of ppl online being unable to think themselves and just repeating someone else's opinions). I think it would be much better to focus on things that are good to keep the game alive and then point out valid criticisms, make discussion, podcast, whatever instead of just "it used to be better, now its shit, do not play it"... Kinda counterproductive to wanting to make the game better. And they changed the speed for a reason. This just shows that ppl just don't know what they want, cause I do remember a LOT of complains about the speed back then. All the nerfs and buffs are also largely connected to ppl complaining. Although PFG isn't the best with knowing wtf is up and how it should all work balance-wise I think they are doing a decent job lately, with the new patch. Harley was broken, she got nerfed. If she is too weak RN she is likely to get buff in future. Why not just adapt? Or try out new characters? I see a lot of comments telling me she is dogsh*t rn. Then how are ppl winning tournaments with her if she is so unplayable? And this brings me to another point I don't agree with. Tournaments are hype AF. I rarely ever get interested in those things, but yesterday I watched The Hazz League and I was blown away at some things ppl do with their characters and sitting on the end of my sit all the time. It shows that the tempo really isn't that bad, because now there is logic and strategy behind moves, some counterplays etc. and not just mashing. Ppl have time to learn and adapt mid-match and there is bigger emphasis on footsies. Anyway, tourneys like that just need a wider audience and it will be all good. There would be higher level and more incentive for ppl to organize other tournaments. I feel like just complaining isn't going to change nothing and you could like give a shout out to the ppl who make the tournaments, you know... Instead of just saying "tourneys are shit, dead game" (without even mentioning any specific ones at that lol)... That and a lot of other criticisms like that are like saying "I wish my friends leg heals faster" and then hitting him there with a bat. Sure it highlights the problem, but doesn't help with solving it at all (and rather the other way around). Otherwise I agree that they should make the game waaaay less grindy. I would say that at the point it is at now, u need to either be jobless or a full-time content creator to rank up. Especially with some of the worst matchmaking in history. How tf it matches bronzes and masters together? This thing is beyond me...

This game isn’t fun after the first 3 games or less, the ui for the shop is terrible and the balancing does quite literally nothing when everyone in ranked is on Arya/joker/iron giant/finn/gizmo no diversity and everyone is sharking, its loading up to play a 6 minute shark simulator. They had more than enough patch notes to give us things that should have been there since re release

the change of the game engine really just shot themselves in the foot. you cant just shut a game off for a year and when you come back theres less features in exchange for "better" visuals

This game isn’t fun after the first 3 games or less, the ui for the shop is terrible and the balancing does quite literally nothing when everyone in ranked is on Arya/joker/iron giant/finn/gizmo no diversity and everyone is sharking, its loading up to play a 6 minute shark simulator. They had more than enough patch notes to give us things that should have been there since re release
