  • In this video Dr Leigh discusses the 10 most common pet poisons you need to make sure are kept well away from your dogs and cats.
Our homes and gardens sadly are full of toxic poisons that our pets seem to be attracted to. Whether it's from eating, touching or inhaling it's important to recognise what is unsafe.
Some poisons are deadly, while others cause mild symptoms.
    Poisons that we cover include:
    1. Chocolate
    2. Rat bait
    3. Slug bait
    4 Mouldy food
    5. Human medications
    6. Ant Bait
    7. Permethrin
    8. Lily
    9. House-hold cleaners
    10. Grapes and raisins.
Most importantly, if you suspect that your dog or cat has been in contact with poison it is vital that you get in touch with a vet immediately.
Our online vets are available at yourvetonline.com 24/7 and we can advise what you need to do.
Remember that prompt treatment can help prevent a deadly poison from making your pet unwell.

How dangerous is it for dogs playing with mice dead or dying from ratsak ?

    • @YourVetOnline
      @YourVetOnline  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Hi Mary, thanks for asking it's a great question. It's actually very dangerous. I've personally treated both cats and dogs that have been affected this way. If the rodent has also decomposed a little, it can also cause tremors due to the toxins making treatment that much harder. Dr Leigh

How about not smiling and being so fucking bubbly when telling us things that could have killed one of our pets.

Smiling, being bubbly, being to much positive is indeed disturbing, when talking about this subjects, causing dog's to die, get hurt.
It is very traumatic and people lost their loved ones on 4 leggs.
No much empathy and sensitivity in this video's, by the smile, bubbliness...and lack of emotion.
