I want to get the digital deluxe edition. I'm a humongous fan of the suits, and I don't think you can get the ten unique suits without pre-ordering. The fact that they were all designed by different and unique artists is amazing to me.
First collectors edition I’ve bought since Assassins creed 3 and that game ended up being one of my favourite AC games of all time. I believe Insomniac Games will delivery on the hype. Can’t wait

I think the digital deluxe version is the better one for most people. It’s 10 extra dollars for 10 exclusive skins so that’s essentially a dollar per skin along with the 2 upgrade points which should make the early game a little more unique. I think it’s safe to say this game won’t be a cyberpunk at launch so pre order is a good option. I love how this game also comes out exactly on my birthday. Great present from insomniac/Sony
it is never good to preorder it only supports big triple A companies and reasurres them that they dont have to make a good game as long as their is enough hype around it to make enough preorders. So it doesnt matter if the game will be good or not wait for reviews and then make a decision.
I think if they gameplay was designed with a certain progression in mind, paying money to subvert that kind of invalidates it. Why would I want to do that?
Ehhh, Cyberpunk, although really good now, was terrible on release. It opened a lot of peoples eyes to not preorder ANY game as it will, more often than not, be a buggy mess. I’ve only preordered one game EVER because I knew exactly what I was getting and how it would be, and that was Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. But games as big as Spider-Man 2? I wouldn’t preorder. I’ll just wait a week or so later to hear everything, then get the game because that should be enough time to have a bug fix update to be placed in.

Not the suits, you’d have to upgrade for them, I’m not sure if you still get the extra unlock credits, and with there being 2 more skill trees to go through, the extra 5 or something helps get the train moving early on
About 3 days after the pre-orders went live I was somehow able to get my pre-order in for the Collectors edition. I'm gonna be honest and say that I really thought that it would be very difficult to get considering how many people would be online trying to get it, I'm glad I was able to do so in the end

I was originally going to pre order, but I'm more of a disc guy. The only reason I was going to pre order was because the Arachknight is really cool, but the Shadowspider is downright AWESOME! But after hearing they're still unlockable in game I don't see the point. I'm not going to change Peter's or Miles's suit that early. I don't need that gadget or the skill points either. I'll get it eventually and I like slowly unlocking new gadgets and skills, like a real Spidey lol.

The statue is, assuming it is PVC, most likely worth $160-ish on its own. Then, 60 for the game and 10 for the case… which I don’t know why they included for a digital copy…
As a person who lives in a country where the enflation rates are above %100, it is very fair pricing for us. Standard Edition is ₺799 which is $30 and Deluxe Edition is ₺899 which is $34. I always want to buy disc versions of games to add to my collection but considering the enflation the game's price might be above ₺1000 until 20th of October. Update: Today is 1st of August and the base game's price has increased to ₺1499 while Deluxe Edition has increased to ₺1699.

Most of the games are above ₺1000, for example Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is ₺1300, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is ₺1400, some of the games are even more expensive and our minimum wage is currently ₺11.402 per month which is $437. Indeed, we are buying Spider-Man much cheaper thanks to Sony for their local pricing.

My only problem with the collectors edition is what’s the point of the steel book if it doesn’t even come with a disc? They should’ve given us something else or at least give us the disc inside the steel book with a code for the digital deluxe upgrade on the side. The statue is cool, but I don’t see it as justifiable for paying $230 not including tax. Also, I’m not the biggest fan of the deluxe edition suits to begin with

For me, it's none of the above. I am going to wait to pre-order until they release a Digital Deluxe Edition with the Season Pass bundled into it. I would assume that will come in at the $85.00 or $89.99 price point. I remember pre-ordering Spider-Man in early 2018, and if I recall correctly, I also had to wait for the game + Deluxe Ed. perks bundled with the Season Pass. Edit: Oh, and I am probably going to wait until Gamestop/BestBuy/EB/Amazon open up the pre-orders, because I want a physical copy.
lets not forget that theres no confirmation of a season pass. Before the 1st one came out we already knew that there was gonna be one, it was even part of the collectors edtion, this time however we have 0 confirmation on this we've heard from multiple sources (mostly VA I think) that the game is much bigger than the 1st one. Now of course that a lot could be cut and put in a dlc later on but assuming that they dont the game could be one big piece without story dlcs (wouldnt be surprised if suits were added later). it took me about 35h I think to 100% the base game and a bit under 15h to 100% complete the dlc, so in total, a around 45h-50h to complete everything. Games like GoW and GoWR also take around the same time (a bit more actually) and dont have dlc's so its completely possible that the 2nd one might just be bigger and have no dlcs Also a major plot point of the game is the symbiote and we all know that Peter will take it off at one point, and losing some of his mechanics by doing so. Now I wouldnt be surprised that they gave us the symbiote back at the end of the game just so we cant still have fun with it (because by then the plot of the game is done), but if they go the same route with the dlc as before, and make post-game content like before, then they couldnt give you the symbiote back for those missions as it wouldnt make any sense from a plot point. They could however, if they do dlc, implement them as part of the already existing world, instead of seperating it like in the past, but then that would mean that the dlc's story doesnt continue the games story which would make it less interesting My point is, due to the symbiote plot, doing any story related dlc might be tricky and its possible that to avoid any trickyness all of the games content is already part of the base game, like with gow Im very curious to see how they handle all of it because of the symbiote

So if and only if there is episodic DLC, I think it would be a huge mistake not to release a slightly discounted Season Pass, which would definitely not sit right with gamers. As a community, we have been buying SPs for a while now, and even though the discount for buying the full episodic DLC package is discounted by only a few dollars, it does help to alleviate the inevitable complaints that SP or Episodic DLC is stuff that should have been included in the game. Honestly, I can't help but to think there will be some Episodic DLC, but you make great points and maybe there won't be.
@@Mrjohnny164my opinion that we can play as symbiot during entire game, why because making so detailed suit, with kind of new mechanics of fighting, and probably web swinging, and give all of that in the end, and than took it away from a player would be stupid. Also there is a possibility that symbiotic powers can be you Ultimate ability, like you can activate simbiot for some time.

As someone who collects disc versions. Im very happy insomniac gave us the option to buy the digital deluxe upgrade... Unlike Lego Star Wars TSS having a digitial deluxe exclusive obi-wan and us physical owners only got a irl lego figure.
The collector's edition you probably can get the statue if somebody is selling online look for you a deal of course but I would go with the standard edition it's something about having it in your hands is satisfying

Huge fan of the saga so I just went with the deluxe edition I really do like having all the unique suits! Etc Hope I don’t regret it, but I don’t think I will because the game is amazing as of what I been seeing🔥 Great informational video though.
If you’re considering if you should pre-order, I’m pretty sure you can on October 19th, so you have time to think about it and know if you can play on release day
i didn't have a ps5 prior to the game being announced, so i got lucky enough to get one of the last exclusive consoles in my area with the plates controller and game included 😂
The other advantage to preordering via the PS store is that you can install the game now and be able play it literally the minute it is released. I will be playing this game at 00:01 on Friday morning with 12 outfits to choose from and 5 skill points as soon as I start playing - that alone makes it worth it. I don't collect compact dics so the deluxe edition was a no brainer.
I pre-ordered the collector's edition from JB Hi-Fi's online store so it's going to be posted to me, normally with a friday release date that would likely mean I'll be waiting until Monday to even get the thing in my hands BUT I've come to realize that JB has a habit of posting pre-orders early, rather than late, and breaking street dates. Fingers crossed I can punch in my code on Friday at midnight, let that bad boy download, go to bed and then come home from work that night with a takeaway and sit down to some Spider-Man 2 all weekend.

The 10 suits are only included in the Digital Deluxe Edition on the PS store. The standard edition is the only one that has the disc, but you will be able to purchase an upgrade to the digital deluxe once the game releases.

What i'm worried about is buying deluxe and then its "exclusive content" comes out later for everyone at a discounted rate. Every game seems to do that nowadays. If the deluxe had the season pass for all DLC that would be the real incentive. I'd say buy standard and if you really need more cosmetics, pay the $10 afterward. The gadget and skill points are arbitrary.

Normally I'd agree...but so far they are 2 for 2. I have faith they'll make a great 3rd game

My only problem with the collectors edition is what’s the point of the steel book if it doesn’t even come with a disc? They should’ve given us something else or at least give us the disc inside the steel book with a code for the digital deluxe upgrade on the side. The statue is cool, but I don’t see it as justifiable for paying $230 not including tax. Also, I’m not the biggest fan of the deluxe edition suits to begin with
I think it’s because there’s a digital and disc version of the ps5 so it’s better to just have the option where people who have either can get the collectors edition.

For me, it's none of the above. I am going to wait to pre-order until they release a Digital Deluxe Edition with the Season Pass bundled into it. I would assume that will come in at the $85.00 or $89.99 price point. I remember pre-ordering Spider-Man in early 2018, and if I recall correctly, I also had to wait for the game + Deluxe Ed. perks bundled with the Season Pass.
Edit: Oh, and I am probably going to wait until Gamestop/BestBuy/EB/Amazon open up the pre-orders, because I want a physical copy.
lets not forget that theres no confirmation of a season pass. Before the 1st one came out we already knew that there was gonna be one, it was even part of the collectors edtion, this time however we have 0 confirmation on this
we've heard from multiple sources (mostly VA I think) that the game is much bigger than the 1st one. Now of course that a lot could be cut and put in a dlc later on but assuming that they dont the game could be one big piece without story dlcs (wouldnt be surprised if suits were added later).
it took me about 35h I think to 100% the base game and a bit under 15h to 100% complete the dlc, so in total, a around 45h-50h to complete everything. Games like GoW and GoWR also take around the same time (a bit more actually) and dont have dlc's so its completely possible that the 2nd one might just be bigger and have no dlcs
Also a major plot point of the game is the symbiote and we all know that Peter will take it off at one point, and losing some of his mechanics by doing so. Now I wouldnt be surprised that they gave us the symbiote back at the end of the game just so we cant still have fun with it (because by then the plot of the game is done), but if they go the same route with the dlc as before, and make post-game content like before, then they couldnt give you the symbiote back for those missions as it wouldnt make any sense from a plot point. They could however, if they do dlc, implement them as part of the already existing world, instead of seperating it like in the past, but then that would mean that the dlc's story doesnt continue the games story which would make it less interesting
My point is, due to the symbiote plot, doing any story related dlc might be tricky and its possible that to avoid any trickyness all of the games content is already part of the base game, like with gow

So if and only if there is episodic DLC, I think it would be a huge mistake not to release a slightly discounted Season Pass, which would definitely not sit right with gamers. As a community, we have been buying SPs for a while now, and even though the discount for buying the full episodic DLC package is discounted by only a few dollars, it does help to alleviate the inevitable complaints that SP or Episodic DLC is stuff that should have been included in the game. Honestly, I can't help but to think there will be some Episodic DLC, but you make great points and maybe there won't be.
@@Mrjohnny164my opinion that we can play as symbiot during entire game, why because making so detailed suit, with kind of new mechanics of fighting, and probably web swinging, and give all of that in the end, and than took it away from a player would be stupid. Also there is a possibility that symbiotic powers can be you Ultimate ability, like you can activate simbiot for some time.
Can’t buy physical copy because my ps5 disk tray it stuck and I always gotta take the cover off and remove manually with a flathead… just gonna get the delux edition on the ps store

As someone who collects disc versions. Im very happy insomniac gave us the option to buy the digital deluxe upgrade... Unlike Lego Star Wars TSS having a digitial deluxe exclusive obi-wan and us physical owners only got a irl lego figure.
The collector's edition you probably can get the statue if somebody is selling online look for you a deal of course but I would go with the standard edition it's something about having it in your hands is satisfying
What if I want the Statute, Steelbook and a disk? If I were crazy enough to get both Collector's and Standard? Would the Digital Deluxe game code act as a free upgrade, so I can put my disk in and have the 10 suits or would that not happen?
It would be pointless to put the disk in because the code would give you the whole game.

@@jollama it is actually disk look it up. In American English Disk is the preferred spelling disk is also preferred in electronics such as Hard disk. Disc is the British spelling of it. So technically both are correct.

Huge fan of the saga so I just went with the deluxe edition I really do like having all the unique suits! Etc Hope I don’t regret it, but I don’t think I will because the game is amazing as of what I been seeing🔥 Great informational video though.

I bought my first ever collectors edition. Never been more hyped about a game so this was a no-brainer for me. And I get a nice statue for it also.

i didn't have a ps5 prior to the game being announced, so i got lucky enough to get one of the last exclusive consoles in my area with the plates controller and game included 😂

The other advantage to preordering via the PS store is that you can install the game now and be able play it literally the minute it is released. I will be playing this game at 00:01 on Friday morning with 12 outfits to choose from and 5 skill points as soon as I start playing - that alone makes it worth it. I don't collect compact dics so the deluxe edition was a no brainer.

I pre-ordered the collector's edition from JB Hi-Fi's online store so it's going to be posted to me, normally with a friday release date that would likely mean I'll be waiting until Monday to even get the thing in my hands BUT I've come to realize that JB has a habit of posting pre-orders early, rather than late, and breaking street dates.
Fingers crossed I can punch in my code on Friday at midnight, let that bad boy download, go to bed and then come home from work that night with a takeaway and sit down to some Spider-Man 2 all weekend.

Gonna take this advice and do standard. I don’t pay for cosmetics. But I’m getting it digitally even though I normally do physical because I got that PS Portal preordered and don’t want to swap discs to play it.

JB Hifi in Oz always has games roughly 20-25% cheaper than standard RRP when preordering. Got mine for $99.
Man I had no idea the massive discrepancy in what different retail stores are selling the standard preorder for here in NZ. I have seen one that is the same price as the digital version at $139.99, one that is $129 and one that is $109. What the hell is the deal with this?

You can still unlock all of the suits. If you get the others you get them at the start of the game. The statue does look nice though.

The 10 suits are only included in the Digital Deluxe Edition on the PS store. The standard edition is the only one that has the disc, but you will be able to purchase an upgrade to the digital deluxe once the game releases.

What i'm worried about is buying deluxe and then its "exclusive content" comes out later for everyone at a discounted rate. Every game seems to do that nowadays. If the deluxe had the season pass for all DLC that would be the real incentive.
I'd say buy standard and if you really need more cosmetics, pay the $10 afterward. The gadget and skill points are arbitrary.
