The fall damage and turning down the swing assist is honestly going to be a game changer for me. I am beyond pumped!
Same, I've been playing Spider-Man 2 (2004) on an emulator recently, so I'm so gonna turn fall damage on and swing assist straight to 0 for sure.

@@Seshking69 Turning the swinging assistance down makes it more physics based(harder).
@@Seshking69 yeah, like someone else said, it will make it harder. It adds physics to the swinging similar to spider man 2 on the ps2 if you've ever played that classic.

Also I turned on fall damage and put swing assist to 0 immediatly and it feels incredible, it really makes the swinging more engaging and makes the badass manouvers feel more earnt and thoughtful

Web wing could be hard to use because they invert the up and down direction u can change the settings so I be easier to handle
Game just came out and it won't let me take off performance mode for fidelity mode. Kinda weird and won't change no matter what I did. EDIT: I just found a solution in case anybody wants to change it and doesnt work. When you open the visual tab and change the performance to fidelity mode press "R2" so you don't get the prompt to restart your lobby. (Restarting was not working for me) after pressing R2 simply leave the settings and it should be working fine after that

For setting 5, you don’t want to set the 120Hz mode to auto, because it changes the PS5 color format to YUV422 from RGB and the colors look washed out in this setting. Performance mode with 120HZ mode OFF is the best setting to play the game in my opinion

Mine is still rgb with vrr enabled and I’m on hdmi 2.1 but for someone on hdmi 2.0, which is probably your case, they should do like you said and play with 120hz mode off
@@TheSkruds are using a 2k or 1080p display? PS5 does not support RGB output on 4k 120Hz mode even on HDMI 2.1
It is the limitation of PS5 HDMI port
PS- you can keep VRR to any setting. It’s the 120Hz mode that has this limitation

Not only that,but with 120 off, you can still play 60 FPS on 4k. I have (LG1 tv).

Can you change the audio language at your liking? My ps5 is set on spanish but I play every game with its original language because it feels weird otherwise, is that an option in the game or should I just change my ps5 language to english?

Don't forget to turn minimap off as well - you can do that from settings.

also put contrast as you like it,for me,performance mode with high contrast is the same as in visual mode
Hey, I just recently bought this game, and have a weird bug……even if I hold r2 it does not swing as it is expected(saying because I have played miles morales and SM1).
Also fighting on side missions, it just goes in to swing loop without me pressing any buttons.
Would you know any troubleshooting method ?

Just an FYI increasing the camera animation actual zooms in your FOV by alot so it makes the swinging and scale of the city less impressive imo.
I noticed this shortly after posting! Thank you for sharing in the comments. I did further testing and what's weird is reducing it on SM2018 doesn't have the same effect as it does in SM2 at ALL. It's almost like they do slightly different things, it's weird.
@@Octorious yea not sure what the goal was with this setting, maybe having it zoomed in was suppose to make the camera shake more? It could also be bugged possibly who knows.
@MalitiaHDOfficial Maybe! It feels for me as though 0 in SM2 is actually the equivalent to 10 in SM2018 and you can't get to the equivalent of what 0 was in SM2018
My display supports 120hz but only at 1080p, it does support vrr at 4k but I cant' seem to get the 40fps to work because anytime I switch the 120hz option to auto it reverts the resolution to 1080 so I'll probably end up going with performance but I'm really trying to give fidelity a try because it does look significantly better. Anyway, this video is just really helpful in general I actually had no idea what film grain was lol, so it's nice to know I shouldn't have it turned off completely and the UI tips were really helpful too.
Glad to help! :D Regarding your 120hz option, to get fidelity working at 40fps, you would need your PS5 to be outputting in the 120hz mode as well so if that means your resolution has to come down to 1080p, then that's your only way unfortunately. You might find it better to play in performance in this case :)
Every time I die and respawn my setting change back to my hero being a solid color and everything else too. How do I turn that off?

Film grain above 6 on fidelity mode made a black checkboard flash on my screen. Performance mode it wouldn’t do it on ten. Just fidelity. Turned it down below 6 and it stopped. Bizarre

The steps to change audio is the only issue I’m having even after downloading the new language pack and restarting it.
So are these the best graphics settings?
My game keeps freezing up on me. At first it was just a few times but now it’s so constant that I can’t even progress in the story. Many times it even freezes just seconds after the gameplay starts. I’ve already tried reinstalling and cleaning out the console cache but nothing works. I’m even playing another game right now and it’s working fine so hopefully it isn’t the console.

Hi, I would like to ask you something: if my TV supports 120hrz but not VRR, which of the two graphics modes should I choose?
You can still use 120hz and use fidelity at 40fps but you might prefer the 60fps option :)

You have to first enter a dive to get the momentum to carry through into the loop de loop. You'll also need to have unlocked it - I believe it's the 2nd skill in the shared skill tree :)
they did it, he only lets go of the web when you release it not when the game wants it to that’s pretty cool.
When I use fidelity, it feels choppy for me as well

You should be able to play it in the fidelity mode with 120hz on and vrr off, which will play at 40fps.

You should still be able to play in fidelity 40fps still, though it might not feel as smooth as it would if you had VRR.
It'll be smooth unless frames drop, which from Digital Foundry's coverage doesn't occur too often. @@Octorious

does anybody know how to make it so the shaders stay off? for example when i leave the game and come back or die, the hero shaders stay on blue until i go and turn them off to the normal colors, i wish to keep them off all the time so i don’t have to keep going in the settings and turning it off. please somebody help me cuz it doesn’t save as what i put it

Nothing in this is sped up, that's legit regular swinging speed once you get decent with it :)
