Same here. Weirdly, this is what the Tamiya Hilux and Bruiser had at the start. Then it just vanished.

I swapped diff lock servos channels on the receiver and then used the menu and set button to reverse their direction so rear locks first then the front. It makes more sense to me because I like drifting

I finally picked up a TRX4 Defender for a steal used yesterday and I've literally been thinking about this! This is awesome! It would be cool to see even the remote locking diffs implemented on the Tamiya trail trucks seeing how they have diffs from the factory or even implementing a 4WD system similar to a bruiser on a more capable platform
I have wanted to do that also. For a while i was contemplating installing these axles since they are better.

Just got mine today! Thanks for the lead. Can't wait to install it. I'm going to upgrade theradio. I wanted to keep the stock but I also want full control of the lockers and 2wd. You can still get on the list, I signed up for another kit. You can order multiple but I didn't want to make anyone have to wait any longer for theirs.

I'm on the waiting list and can't wait to get this. Thank you for the lead. I do think I'll be figuring out a way to run the rear locker independently. I think it would be fun to spin doughnuts in 2wd locked. Only because not many crawlers can "hoon" and crawl. Or maybe just spool the rear end and use the rear locker servo for 4wd shifting for a cleaner install.
I know they are slowing making them! It is a better idea to run a more capable radio but I didnt want people to think it was needed.

I'm building a 2 door JK out of my TRX4 right now, I would love to add this eventually! I want to try and configure it so I would have 2hi/4hi/4lo like a real JK would. I think I could make it work, since I changed over to a Radiolink RC6GS radio. Awesome kit!
That would be cool. I had limitations since I didn't want to change the radio.

You can reverse servo operation in the transmitter menu. Look up the option tree.

Super neat upgrade! Finally a selectable 2wd trans in something other than a Bruiser. I wonder how this would perform in the Heavy Hauler?
It is a well made metal part so I cant imagine that it wont work well.
Wow! This is a really nice option, very interesting! A 5th and maybe 6th channel would be the icing though..
You would maybe achieve the same servo reverse via Traxxas’ app. You’ll need to purchase the bluetooth module for the TQi - there you can servo reverse all channels within the app. I run my TRX-4 with servo reverse on the diff lockers - this enables the rear diff to lock first, then the front. Another option is to add one more hardware switch to have totally independent diff lock options.

I decided to go with a 6ch radio. I'm using Radiolink and it's been absolutely awesome. Completely independent lockers, low/high gear and 2wd/4wd.
Yeah, a better radio is totally the way. The guys that made this showed me how they were using it but I felt that some would not want an additional cost. There were limitations for the stock radio but for the cost, it works!

I see what you mean about holding the cost down. And, the TQI is a good radio. Many will want to keep it for Pro Scale Lighting, as me. I opened one of mine: A video about adding a single action flip switch might be a good idea. From my memory it’s a three position switch with common ground. Left is off, first action activates one wire, second action the next wire. I’d believe that making a jump ground between the old and a second switch and just moving the second red positive wire to the new switch would work. Then you’d have independent diff lock/unlock.

I love this. I do have the production version now and its outstanding. I do not know a release but some have shipped I think. It is not cheap in the least. Well over $100.

I wonder if you could just flip the servo horn to the other side of one of the locker servos to reverse its direction.
So I did that but reversing the horn and the servo means it does the same thing.

First of the kits have gone out a couple days ago some have received them already, looks like they only have 4 teeth instead of 6 in the final will ship with 3d printed parts and are $150

They are trying to ramp up production. They do this on the side and demand has been high so it is not easy to keep up with demand. Even I want another one!

Best thing to do is go to the discord. They run another company and last I talked to them, they are swamped.
Or u could just get a boom racing selectable transfer case for $65.... 2x4 to 4x4 via servo activated arm.
This was a cleaner install and looks almost stock.
