I think there are two versions of "Mama," one of which has Victoria singing low harmony in the pre-chorus ("Back then I didn't know why..."). She also comes in in the second chorus singing an even lower harmony than Geri and Mel C (she sang the melody an octave lower). It's the one used in the music video. I actually like this particular version better. ^_^

In the single version, you can hear Victoria's voice clearly in that particular pre-chorus, but not in album version; where you can only listen Geri & Melanie C. Some fans theorized that Posh's vocal was added later before the single was released.

en la versión del álbum solo se escucha a Geri y los restos de voz de Mel C al quitar las Lead Vocals, busca en TH-cam la canción en karaoke de la versión Greatest Hits allí si se logra escuchar otra voz que es la de Victoria, creo y haré un video comparando las dos versiones, y a lo mejor extraiga la voz de Victoria. ;)

Well, the choir is not considered as the Spice Girls' voice wasn't it? It was sung by a choir group for the particular song in the album. Geri & Victoria did sing along with the choir in the music video, but that's about it. No Spice Girls voice were layered in that choir. Even when they sing this song live on stage, the choir is only pre-recorded.
