I lost my mom when I was freshly 15 and I remember singing this to her after we got into an argument..listening to the CD and wrote down every word..she recorded it and cried and now I cry everytime I hear this song. Always love your mother you will never have another.

I remember having this album as a youngster and realizing then that this song was something special. Now, at 39 years old and having just lost my step mom who raised me and kept custody of me after my father passed away this song suddenly showed up in my feed on TH-cam as the first suggested song and I know it’s a sign from her that she’s watching over me. As I sit here listening to it I burst into tears thinking how relevant the message of this song is to me, especially as I’m grieving her loss. There are so many things I wish I could tell her and will never get the opportunity to now. I wish so badly I could have even just one more phone call with her and hear her tell me she loves me. I love you, mom! You’ll live forever in my heart. Thank you Spice Girls for recording a beautiful song that is helping me cope with her loss. I was a mega fan of you ladies as a kid and still am now, but the impact this song is having on me currently is solidifying one of the reasons your music defined a very important and formative portion of my child hood and life.

@@durotar7470 thank you! I’m slowly doing better. This song just keeps becoming more and more relevant as just this past May after losing mom last November, I lost my grams as well. I’ve always thought that since I lost my father at the age of 13 that I had a better grip on how to cope with the grief of a deceased loved one and that because I’d experienced that loss so early in life I’d be better prepared for when loved ones finally pass. The loss and heartbreak of losing two of the most important people in my life so closely together was devastating, but I know that they are in better places.

My dilemma is, I love my mom with all my heart. When I see posts like this it makes me feel bad, because shes still here with me. But I have alot of pain and some resentment from the past in my childhood that still follows me. I want to be free of it, I really do. But those feelings sometimes cloud how I should be. I dont want to wake up one day and shes not here and I feel total regret and guilt. What should I do? I dont want to feel those things but I cant help it as much as I try to fight it out of me.

Being born in 1982, I grew up to this in the 90's. One of my favorite songs of all time. Losing my dad 6 years ago and my mom April 1st of last year, Both to cancer really does hit home. Thank you Spice Girls for making this. Even though I lost both of my parents to a horrible disease, It makes me think of the past how they did what they could to make me and my brothers happy. I do still tear up till this day because I do miss them.
