Ya Ford is pricing it like GM priced the H1 hummer, and they wonder why they have so many lot rotting. You go to the Ford website, and they say it's 90K. But then dealer markup is 25 to 30k. I drove by a southern California Ford dealership and saw a dozen sitting in their overflow lot 😂. Only the top 2% can afford it. Sad, but that Raptor might go the way of the H1 hummer due to greed!
There's one at my local Ford dealer. Checked it out up close. $96,871, + a $10,000 market adjustment!!! I'd never pay this much for an underpowered SUV with the fit and finish of an Explorer..
The 3.0L may not be as good as the F150 Raptor's 5.2L Supercharged V8 but it's still plenty powerful for a vehicle this size. I never think it's a good idea to pay a dealer markup. If people stopped paying markup prices, the dealer's who have a markup will eventually entertain lower offers because of dealer floor plan finance rates right now

Around the 12 min mark you show and discuss different modes and settings that can be adjusted, steering, dampening, quiet, sport, etc... Is there a custom memory capability such that you can select the various settings you wish and save them as say Memory 1 and Memory 2, so you don't have to reset every individual aspect every time? The majority of Ford vehicles don't have the ability to set a custom mode. I'm going to start pointing that out in my Ford reviews and see if they get the hint because I think it's a pretty useful feature to have
I enjoyed the review! The Raptor is beautiful but im tired of car manufacturers putting small engines in vehicles that deserve a V8. Smaller engines when turbo charged or supercharged wear out much faster than a larger engine. 4500 LBS towing not impressive especially when a Chevrolet Colorado has 7600 towing limit. That means if you own a boat over 20 ft you are more than likely not able to pull it. Have a great day and keep up the good work 👍
Thanks Michael! The 5.0L Coyote in a Bronco would be pretty neat to see 🤔 4,500lbs is a bit lower than I'd like to see for sure but it's also a truck vs off-road ride. Cheers!
This isn’t the dumbest comment I’ve read but it’s on the list. The towing doesn’t have anything to do with the motor but rather the suspension components it’s not a vehicle made for towing. You thinking a “V8” would change that only highlights just how naive you are
Here's my wish list to further improve this great vehicle: Double pane, acoustic glass all around, including the front windshield, or at least the windshield and first and second row side windows, best all though, and the fold out flat work surface of the front center console found in the F150's. Maybe add these as standard or options, perhaps as part of the Lux Package. Awesome off road, these two things would add to its ability as a daily driver. Hope Ford sees this.
I'm really curious if people from the head office at brands ever read the comments section of videos to see what people are saying. I always tell people to reach out directly and tell them what you do or don't like.. direct feedback is always best! Acoustic glass would definitely help with some noise reduction. The work surface area would be a neat addition but reworking that centre stack to change where the sideview adjust and window buttons would be a pain
You're welcome! The Raptor is a blast, especially if you're planning on doing some more aggressive off-road driving. If the plan is just for off-road adventures and not much baja style high speed sand driving you'd probably be ok with just an Outer Banks, Badlands or Everglades with Sasquatch
I saw this truck in person at the dealer ship and it looks massive. It’s impressive wide and tall. But definitely needs to be a v8. Price is a bit over 100k. High price for a v6.
Is there a web browser on that front dash center screen? I'd love to get TH-cam and a web browser on there, though admittedly few vehicles off that. Is there a 5G wifi hotspot? Which do you think has the more comfortable front and back row seats, this Bronco Raptor or the F150 Raptor?
No browser or TH-cam video support yet. The Mach-E just got video playback for the 2024 model so one of two things will happen.. Either Ford will release it in the Bronco in the next year or two or the screen will get updated to the next gen Sync 5 based on Android OS where it will have TH-cam video playback along with a browser option edit: there is a wireless hotspot so that you can tether devices to the ride. How does this drive on road? Possibly as smooth and quiet or even better than the F150 Raptor, or levelled/lifted F150 Tremor or Platinum? It looks awesome, but I'm on more than off road, lots of long highway drives. I just want a max luxury interior, go anywhere, any time, any kind of vehicle performer with good road clearance, especially useful during winter storms.
The Platinum is definitely the glam truck out of those options but it wouldn't come close to touching the off-road capability of the Raptor lineup. The Tremor 402a would be a compromise if you're looking just based on price. The Bronco Raptor and even F150 Raptor are big.. but also wide. I found that it was almost taking up a full lane when I was driving, so I was white knuckle driving to make sure I wasn't veering into other lanes while also making sure to watch lanes when people started drifting. If you aren't planning on going off-road - rock crawling, sand running etc, the Raptor might be overkill. The Tremor would be better equipped for the odd time you want to have fun in the bush while having pretty good style overall - just make sure you go for the more loaded 402a
@@CarsWithSteve Thanks. I really like the smaller width and length of the Bronco Raptor. I imagine in some ways that will go to the plus side of the better daily driver, and should make it more capable off road and in really bad snowstorms on and off road I imagine. I love the greater road clearance of the Bronco Raptor too. So far, the only big negative for me relatively regarding the Bronco Raptor is the wind noise. I wonder if it's really that bad? On long highway drives most importantly.
anytime! Not having the bed will definitely make a difference and if you don't need to carry a bunch of cargo around often it could be the better choice for sure. The Bronco Raptor also gets way better fuel economy compared to the F150 Raptor, so if you're doing more driving it might be the one to look at The Bronco in general will have more roadnoise than the F150 but it's not something you can't live with
I get 100k for something I want, but there are some shops in FL I've found that are building up the 2.7 V6 with lifts, custom interior, winch, and 37" tires, and they are 6-700pnds lighter and 15-20k cheaper. I plan to buy a Bronco in 2025, but is the turbocharger worth 10-20k? Is that with a HOSS 3.0 package, and does anyone know what is new for 2025?
Ford still hasn't officially announced anything yet for the 2025 models.. that should come sometime in September. I can't see it getting the next gen Android OS screen yet If you're not in a rush it could be worth it to wait a few months but even doing a stage 1 ECU tune to the 2.7L would get you really close to the 3.0L performance wise, especially with all those other upgrades

The 3.0L twin V6 in this is pretty capable.. 418 hp / 440 lb-ft torque.. Not far off from the specs of the Coyote. But it would be sweet to have the V8 in here
The F150 has a 3.5L turbo while the Raptor is 3.0L turbo. Power isn't too far off between them though... Bronco Raptor is 418 hp/ 440 lb-ft torque while the 3.5L F150 is 400 hp / 500 lb-ft of torque
Fuel mileage wouldn't be too far off from the 3.0L turbo and the 5.0L v8.. If you look at the F-150, the 3.5L turbo and 5.0L have close to the same fuel economy with the 5.0L getting slight better mileage when towing. It would be crazy to see the F150 Raptor/Mustang GT500's 5.2L supercharged V8 in this thing though
No truck is worth the same cost as a house! These manufacturers need to come back down to real life! And the dealerships need to quit adding 20k to the msrp!
That V6 kills everything ...I do not understand why make something like this and not put a proper engine in it ...and the amount you pay for it in Canada is between $ 124 to $130 thousand ...plus taxes ...Love it but no V8 ..No Thanks
Go for a test drive in 2 F150s.. one with the 3.5L Ecoboost and one with the 5.0L coyote. Outside of a very brief turbo spool you won't notice the difference
Have you seen that incident last week where some female stole a sheriff patrol car and killed three other ppl at the national park? That’s what I look for. Are you going to live or is the other person going to live during the accident
Were you in sport mode? Did you have any parts of the drive train locked out? The Bronco Raptor is really meant more for off-road performance, the higher ground clearance, additional drive modes etc are where it shine
Ah that 5.0L! There were some guys on Instagram who had started a 5.0L swap but there haven't been any updated videos on it yet to see if it was successful
The Ford Bronco Raptor is impressive and made in America were cars are just garbage, this one is impressive until you start to get recall notices every 3 months and need to take it to the dealer every 6 month for some problem
Has your Raptor had many recalls? The Bronco recalls haven't been too crazy so far and they tend to only apply to vehicles built during a specific window
@@CarsWithSteve True. My issue is I wouldn't off-road with since I would need it to look pristine. I had a 74 Bronco I built for off-roading, didn't care about trail pint striping or mild carnage that would happen time to time. I would love to own this, but the ROI isn't there for me. Very nice video.
@@CarsWithSteve I sold it a year before they announce the release of the new Bronco. Terrible timing to sell a rust free built classic. My 15K could have easily been 2-3 times that in today's market.
@@CarsWithSteve for $90,000 base I’d expect at least some organization that looks like it was planned by a well trained engineer. This disorganization looks like something I’d come up with.
for 125k you get easy access to your fluids lol and the 36k mile warranty is complete hot garbage. you are explaining this car like a 35-40k car until we find out it 125k is funny cars that range are a lot nicer and higher class
Oh so you noticed. I'm not intentionally leaving it out like it's some secret shame. The V6 lobby isn't handing me envelopes of cash saying "Steve, make sure you don't mention that it's a V6." I like to appreciate what the car offers and how its performance is as exciting as a car with more than six cylinders
@@CarsWithStevebut you are intentionally leaving out it’s a 6 cylinder. You give every engine displacement and the transmission but magically leave out number of cylinders.
You're fixating on the V6 or V8 like it's the missing link in the automotive evolution. No one who is interested in actually buying this is sitting there going, "Oh, it's got a V6? Well, now I'm definitely not interested"
The Bronco does have support for flat towing.. When the transfer case is in the neutral position by going to 2H and then selecting neutral tow in the cluster you should have been ok. If you followed what you were supposed to do and the transmission was damaged that sounds like warranty claim territory
Just did some digging and it looks like it does happen to some folks who flat tow. What's weird is that some people are saying their Bronco's are and some aren't spitting out codes that show it was in neutral tow mode. I'd cover myself by recording each time it goes into neutral tow mode just in case but damn that's annoying
You mean the fake animated video showing it crumpling? Lol no vehicle would stand getting rear ended by a cement truck but you should take a look at a real life owner's example of what happened when they met a cement truck - carswithsteve.com/Bronco-Raptor-vs-Cement-Truck

And?.... You like Jeep, ok. The BRaptor is just as capable if not PROVEN better in some cases. Both are good vehicles, take that tribalism shit somewhere else.
@@BrooklynNY1979Negative. I like both, just stating the facts not your feelings. Facts do not care about your feelings.
That really hurt your feelings. Go take a dump and go live in Mars and your cartoon mindset. Lmao
So nice. Too bad Ford won’t be able to sell one to anyone making under $200k per year 😞 I’ll stick with my 2022 Corolla
Bigger downpayment with a trade in is always a workaround to the income requirement!
As a lifelong Ford owner… my next ride will be a Toyota!
Which one?
@@CarsWithSteve probably a Sequoia TRD Pro… I’m 6’4” … my wife’s 2020 4Runner is a little small for me… I’m currently driving a Ford E-150 wagon. Love it but it’s got 100k miles and I’ll start biting my finger nails at about 120k! All of my Fords needed some serious work on em at around 150k…
Why?
What is it putting mouse motors in these vehicles!!!!!!
The 3.0L twin V6 in this is pretty capable.. 418 hp / 440 lb-ft torque.. Not far off from the specs of the Coyote. But it would be sweet to have the V8 in here
I will pass on the 10-speed transmission. Throw in a 5-speed manual and I am sold on it.
A 7 speed in the 3.0L like what they did in the 2.3L that would be pretty sweet
It's impressive except for the 14-15mpg it gets.
Haha right? But you don't get something like this for the fuel savings
Luxury is having a leather dash, cause the leather cost more than plastic or any other interior material.
These prices are absurd…..before Covid this would be around 80k max….prices go up but wages stay the same. Ridiculous
The Bronco Raptor wasn't introduced until 2022... and the price is high but people are buying them
Maybe you haven't noticed, but prices are up about 30% across the board for everything from A -Z.
It’s okay, would be better if it had a V8 version without the turbo.
If I had a dollar for every person who says they want to see the Raptor with the coyote V8 lol
...just needs coyote engine 😎
Yes it does. There were a few guys starting a swap on Instagram but haven't seen one completed yet
Too much I can 2 new trucks for this
I didn’t know Tom Cruise vlogs on TH-cam….
Haha thanks!
All these salty people in the comments that are just angry they can't afford one 😂😂
HAHA always seems to be the way it works
For that price, I would get a Bimmer or Benz or Range Rover or any other premium SUVs
Not many BMW or Benz at this price point that would be as capable rock crawling or trailing. What would be your top picks?
Get a Range Rover and pay a zillion dollars in extra bills. I drove a top of the line defender and this raptor is better
37 inch is nothing in off road tires. 38-42 is a lot more common in that world. nice truck regardless
Those bigger tires can get pretty crazy but you're right!
@@CarsWithSteve is this car, fully stock, bigger than a JL rubicon fully stock? it looks like it. JL's come with 33 inch tires i believe
Don't think they're that far off of each other size wise. The Rubicon 392 has the Xtreme 35 pack so it's 17" wheels and 35" rubber from the factory
37 inch tires are nothing!?!?..... Dude you have no fucking clue what you're talking about clearly. Stick to the mall parking lot in your Honda pal.
This needs a V8.
The coyote would be great if a swap from the 3.0L would work
Why did they give this less power than the f150
The F150 has a 3.5L turbo while the Raptor is 3.0L turbo. Power isn't too far off between them though... Bronco Raptor is 418 hp/ 440 lb-ft torque while the 3.5L F150 is 400 hp / 500 lb-ft of torque
Could get better gas mileage with a V8 engine. 302 BOSS would be cool.
Where can I find $100k houses?! That doesn't even get you a plot of land to build in most of Canada
People want the V-8, but they have forgotten about the hummer I guess they won’t 10 to 13 miles per gallon
Heard that from a lot of people - I'm sure if people who are buying and contacting Ford directly will eventually make them release a coyote version
Have you seen that incident last week where some female stole a sheriff patrol car and killed three other ppl at the national park? That’s what I look for. Are you going to live or is the other person going to live during the accident
Still not impressed with the 3.0 turbo - this needs a high HP possible v8 all day long. Prefer coyote and a VMP 3 liter for 800ho on plump gas
The V8 or even the 3.5L high output turbo would be crazy in the Raptor
I tested one today. Not that impressive. Rear seats got no air vents! And really not that quick nor comfortable.
Were you in sport mode? Did you have any parts of the drive train locked out? The Bronco Raptor is really meant more for off-road performance, the higher ground clearance, additional drive modes etc are where it shine
@CarsWithSteve it was not on sport mode. My friend said the ride made him dizzy sitting in the back with the rough ride and no air.
That’s a Man’s Vehicle. Not suitable for Hairdressers who drive Suzuki Vitara’s.
HAHA ah I wish I thought of that to say during the video
How much ????????????? I think you are afraid to divulge the out the door price!!!!
It says it right in the description lol
Edit:
Canada - $125,475
USA - $98,795
That is a sweet looking bronco but I wish Ford would went with the 3.5 Eco boo either that or the 5.0 coyote motor Would be better
@@CarsWithSteve wELL YOU JUST NEVER KNOW,BUT YOUR INFO IS GOOD TO KNOW FOR ALL THANKS
Impressively expensive.
Yet they're still selling
@@CarsWithSteve True. My issue is I wouldn't off-road with since I would need it to look pristine. I had a 74 Bronco I built for off-roading, didn't care about trail pint striping or mild carnage that would happen time to time. I would love to own this, but the ROI isn't there for me. Very nice video.
I wouldn't want to take it off-road either. Classic Broncos and lower trims would be the way to go for sure. How long ago did you get rid of the 74?
@@CarsWithSteve I sold it a year before they announce the release of the new Bronco. Terrible timing to sell a rust free built classic. My 15K could have easily been 2-3 times that in today's market.
Of course it's just after you sold it! I saw a restored 74 earlier today.. it was converted to an EV powertrain. Crazy what engineers can do
No v8?!
The one thing it's missing.. Power isn't too far off between the 3.0L and Coyote but the N/A aspect of the V8 is a draw for sure
$120K.
Yup.. but you know people are going to pay it
@@CarsWithSteve yup then they sell cuz they broke again. Vehicles are huge money pits. I Uber and or carpool friends family. Big money save.
@@ritchierich565where do you go and live to where ride sharing is cheaper than owning a vehicle? 🤔
Engine still looks a train wreck. Unbelievable what they charge for these trucks.
Because it's not covered by a pretty engine cover?
@@CarsWithSteve for $90,000 base I’d expect at least some organization that looks like it was planned by a well trained engineer. This disorganization looks like something I’d come up with.
It's ford, it'll break down at 10k miles lol
i.imgflip.com/39g8b4.png
@@CarsWithSteve LOLOL amazing response. Thank you for the laugh.
haha anytime!
All the interior plastic at this price is criminal
When you realize it has the upgraded carbon fibre interior pack 😂
🙄🤷🏾♂️But its still a Ford!
Take one for a spin or ask other owners what they think
😏🙄😅😅😅😅
🙃
for 125k you get easy access to your fluids lol and the 36k mile warranty is complete hot garbage. you are explaining this car like a 35-40k car until we find out it 125k is funny cars that range are a lot nicer and higher class
I’d love to see your review of the Bronco Raptor
@CarsWithSteve yeah pretty sure wouldn't be talking about how easy it is to get to the fluid and oil dip stick lol
So then stop crying and start shooting the video
Why do you intentionally leave out that it’s a V6? It’s comical to watch. Like someone is paying you to gloss over it.
Got everything except a good engine lmfao
Take an Explorer ST (same engine) for a spin and tell me that
Probably around 150-200k 😂
Canada - $125,475
USA - $98,795
Capable of everything except flat towing behind an rv. Doing so destroyed my transmission. $6300 no warranty on 5k miles. Ford sux. Imo..
The Bronco does have support for flat towing.. When the transfer case is in the neutral position by going to 2H and then selecting neutral tow in the cluster you should have been ok.
If you followed what you were supposed to do and the transmission was damaged that sounds like warranty claim territory
@@CarsWithSteve it did flat tow for the first 1500 miles about 12 times on and off the rv. It works great until it doesn’t.
Odd it just decided to not work eventually. I'll check with a Ford contact to see what their take is
@@CarsWithSteve ford take is on the 15ish try I did it wrong too damn bad. If you read gen 6 forums it’s happening to a lot of owners.
Ever seen one of these things get rear ended by a cement truck watch it on TH-cam you’ll never buy a bronco
You mean the fake animated video showing it crumpling? Lol no vehicle would stand getting rear ended by a cement truck but you should take a look at a real life owner's example of what happened when they met a cement truck - carswithsteve.com/Bronco-Raptor-vs-Cement-Truck
I suggest you buy the cement truck rear end rebounder option.
