For Cinderella’s drawing I can imagine that the prince and that find out she talks to mice, animals and a fairy godmother. Thinking she’s inane, she is locked away in the castle as to not bring disgrace to the royal family. She’s given therapies and medications -torture- to try and make her sane but she keeps insisting that it’s true so she’s eventually left to rot in a tower or room; thought to be an insane lost cause. She watches from a tower as the prince gets remarried and after years of this and not eating, slowly starving to death she escape. She runs into a pumpkin patch but her weak body can’t handle it. She collapses into the pumpkins and as she slowly dies vows to get revenge on the entire royal family and her step family’s descendants every month, on the date of her death. Now at every date of her death, especially October where the realms between the dead and living is at its thinnest, she shows herself; now nothing more but a shell of what she used to be. Her body rotten and eyes missing; the lower half of pumpkins as she screams and laughs. Time to get revenge~

What about just Skella? Her real name is Ella, her step mother and sisters called her Cinder-Ella, because she used to sleep in the kitchen, near the fire. And if I remember correctly, her dress sometimes had holes in it, because of the cinders from the fire.

After almost getting her happy ending, the evil stepmother kept Cinderella locked in the attic room until she died, returning as a vengeful spirit to give those who wronged her what they deserve
Rapunzel looks like a Gorgon. Similar to Arachne, she could have prided herself on her lovely hair and made an offhand comment and then was punished by the gods.
Cinderella's story: Cindi was so wanting to go to the ball but her fairy godmother got "lost" (shouldn't have asked for directions from 3 weirdly dressed kids lady) and was replaced by Oogie Boogie (he was bored). Well Oogie did his Halloween best but Prince Charming didn't really like Cindi's new look and she was denied her happily ever after...but she made the best of it. If nobody likes how she looks, let's see if they like being a pumpkin! He he... Bibbidi-Bobbidi-BOO

I think for Cinderella, the fairy godmother's spell backfired and instead of the pumpkin being turned into a carriage it mutated Cinderella into some sorry of pumpkin monster.

This version of Cinderella is basically if Tim Burton directed his version of Cinderella.
Maybe Cinderella is a revenant ( a vengeful rotten spirit)... She getting her vengeance on the ugly stepsisters and step mother because they worked her to death... The fairy godmother was a witch and casted an evil spell on her to help her get her Vengeance. Interesting lore
Cinderella crashed on her way home from the ball and no one was able to find her, her family didn't even bother, and so she became a vengeful spirit
Rapunzel ( Rapnake ) would actually poison her prey with her hair tail instead of healing anyone !😱 And oh my God Cinderella was so creepy 😳. I won't be able to sleep tonight .
Cinderella makes me think of some sort of urban myth. Like 'if you hear a carriage late at night, and the horses sound more like squeaking mice than horses, run! Stay off the roads. Stay out of sight until the last bell of midnight, and then you'll know you're safe, for she's returned home.'
Rapunzel
Once apon a time there was a king and a queen. One day the queen had fallen ill. The king ordered for the guards to find a magic golden flower that had the power to heal and restore. Unfortunately the flower belonged to a witch. When the guards tried to take it the witch put a curse on the flower saying that whomever uses it shall be cursed to have a monster. The king, however, did not know of this and used the flower to heal the queen. Months later they had a little girl with the most beautiful golden hair. Sixteen years passed and the once beautiful baby princess had become a wicked creature. The king banished the princess from the kingdom. The princess had no where else to go and found the old tower of the witch. There she stays asking for someone to climb her hair and rescue her.
Cinderella
Once apon a time there was a girl named Ella. Her father had married a woman with two daughters. Soon later the father had died and so the step mother, two step sisters, and Ella had to live together. Ella took up the chores after the step mother had disbanded the staff. The step sisters began calling Ella "Cinderella" after the fact that she was always cover in soot and ash. Years go by and the king hosts a ball to help the prince find a wife. Cinderella wanted to go the ball but wasn't aloud to until she finished the chores and had a dress to wear. Just before they left the step sisters tore up her dress. Cinderella ran to the garden and cried. Woman appeared where she was and said that she could make Cinderella a beautiful dress so she can go to the ball. Though there was a catch. If she didn't leave before midnight she would no longer be how she is. Cinderella, without very much though, accepted the offer. The woman did exactly what she said, she made a pumpkin to a carriage, mice into horses, and the beautiful dress for Cinderella. Cinderella hoped into the carriage and rode off to the ball. When she arrived she caught the attention of the prince from her appearance alone. The prince rushed to her and offered to dance with her. Cinderella happily accepted it. The two danced long into the night. The bells signifying the hour chimed but Cinderella didn't want to leave, so she stayed. She continued to dance but realised her legs were beginning to feel stiff and numb. She fell a couple times, the prince catching her. The prince asked if she was alright and Cinderella responded saying she was okay, that she was a little tired. By now she couldn't feel her legs at all, as if they were gone. And indeed they were. After falling one last time all that was there was pumpkins. The prince stepped back not expecting it. Cinderella was in a panic herself, her hands and arms were becoming slim and boney, she felt her eyes hollow out like a jack-o-lantern. The woman's voice was the last thing she heard. She said Cinderella's happily ever after was out of time.
Wooo! That was a lot! In any case I loved the art in this video! I always love the way you color, shade, and highlight. I know I didn't do Elsa. I got worn out from the two others. I hope you like them!

The Cinderella one will keep me up at night-
My head cannon is very dark so dont be too surprised XD i think Cinderella was working herself to the bone, until she finally died of overworking , hunger and thirst. Which is why she looks as dead as she looks as a spirit, after she died her stepmother and stepsisters didn't even bother barring her body and just crushed it with pumpkins. Since Cinderella had such a miserable life and horrible death she came back from the grave , but she's not the sweet loving girl she used to be. Now all she can feel is rage and bloodlust as now she has a mission that she must fulfill. Make her new stepfamily feel all the pain and agony she did and so much more for there whole lives, she would do this by constantly making them break things and just ruin the house , the stepmother would make them clean there mess and so on Cinderella would do this for there whole lives and the more time she did this the angrier she got until she wanted them to feel what it was like to die EXACTLY like she did. And so in the middle of the night she let her form be seen to each of her stepfamily. Slowly deriving them insane until she started to get violent and she murdered them all in one night. But she wasn't satisfied. So now she hunts for random people around the city and especially step mothers. If you hear her glass slippers run.
So thats my interpretation XD sorry it got really dark but thats what i think would happen to make her turn unto this thing XD hope ya liked it

These character designs are so impressive. I can't wait to see what else you can come up with
Elsa never got saved by Anna's love and she stayed evil terrorizing the citizens of arindale.
And the fact that she's gonna be a villian in the original concept
Rapunzel looks like Scylla or Charybdis (I always get those two mixed up ^^" ), but my initial thought was: That's a Naga, hands down :) Or a devious poisonous Ivy/root dryad or something like that 🤔
Cinderella somehow looks like a mix between Jack from Nightmare before Chrisrmas gone rabid and Voldemort had a vicious younger sister.
She might be the one that creeps me out the most. I love the colours though, those complementaries really make the colours pop even more.
I don't know why, but Elsa doesn't strike me so much as a monster, more like a supervillain from a comic (a pretty cool one, though) or a corrupted, jagged waterbender from the Avatarverse that bends ice to her will. Or even closer to the actual source material, the Hans Christian Andersen Snow Queen from that same fairytale (you know, most of those fairytales are actually often a lot sadder and scarier than the Disney versions anyway ^^' )

The prince did not accept Cinderella. When the spell broke,the magic went wrong. She transformed into a skeleton-like monster. She killed Anastaisia and Drizella,getting her revenge for years of labor. She can now be found in dark pumpkin patches,catching her "prey".

Cinderella is my fav out of them. I really like how you went out of your comfort zone and gave her empty eyes. I just wish you made the colors a little less saturated to give a punch of scariness and wither, this is not criticism, just my opinion, i get that they still need to look similar to the princesses

I was looking at Cinderella’s horror version and I was like “Lady Tremaine, eat your heart out. 😂
All the designs were awesome, but Rapunzel's was genius!!!!
I am just in love with the Cinderella one. I like to imagine she is the ethereal spirit that is known to haunt the land. A beautiful and mysterious woman in a blue ball gown and glass slippers. Charming in her beauty and innocence with light graceful steps on the dance floor. But when the clock strikes midnight she turns into this pumpkin wraith and spirits one unlucky soul away to forever join her pumpkin patch.
I think my favorite among these three is the Cinderella one. Making her look like a mix between a zombie and and plant monster is very creative, especially with the pumpkins underneath her dress. I also like how one of the vines is clinging to her glass slipper, like it's planning on luring some poor soul to fall into its trap.
The Rapunzel/snake is also great. It's really cool seeing the purple scales transition into her golden hair, along with those gangly purple claws.
I can imagine Monster Elsa to be like her original concept as a villain, with this design being her 'Final Boss' super form (a la Dragon Maleficent, Cobra/Genie Jafar, Cy-Bug King Candy).
I was really expecting, when I saw you starting to go with the snake motif for Rapunzel and were talking about Greek mythology, that you were going to turn her into Medusa -- which would have made a lot of sense, since her hair seems to be so "alive"! The interpretation you went with works well too, though, but now I'm envisioning a bunch of suspiciously realistic statues around the base of her tower...
For some reason I really like the idea of Cinderella as a were-rat. It explains her affinity for the mice who she's befriended and who help her throughout the story, and puts a different twist on the "transformation" she undergoes at the stroke of midnight! I'm also imagining that, in the years before the ball, she would shapeshift into a rat to scavenge for scraps in order to survive, because her stepmother and stepsisters wouldn't bother to feed her.
I love these series and I love hearing your thought process. Rapunzel would totally devour her prey or keep them as pets since she was lonely. Creepy Cinderella love it. Love elsa too

I think Elsa lost control of her powers after Anna mysteriously died and took advantage of that to hunt for who killed Anna. Thats how I imagine the backstory.

Something I find interesting is that Rapunzel actually has a lot of the main villain colors. She just doesn’t have that lime green. (Correction... her eyes are actually that lime color so she really does have the main villain colors)

Rapunzels hair tail thing is honestly really pretty. Cinderella and the pumpkin are kind of cute together, ya know their matching faces. Also the design of the dress with the airy holes and pumpkins is really interesting and something I would wear. Elsa's crystal/ice dress is very pretty to me and I love the colors.
I liked all of them this time🤗. Cinderella is the scariest Repanzul would be second and third is Elsa😉. I can't wait to see part three😀❣

I think with Cinderella, that’s her true form. Going to the ball was an elaborate scheme to lure the Prince in and drag him to the Underworld. Once he put that slipper on her, he was faced with his worst nightmare. 👻
That rapunzel design was not what I was expecting. Very creative and creepy.
Hans got Anna and Elsa knew deep down inside it was her fault she could’ve saved her Elsa grieves. Kristof comes to tell Elsa that he loved Anna and that he knows he was her true love. When Elsa realizes that Kristof could’ve saved her her heart didn’t become frozen, her heart died. It faded away into the night. There she unleashed her power onto Kristof taking him down and all of Arendelle. There she went after the Northaldra people. She convinced the spirits to open up the fog so then they can rule together. Now Elsa uses her reign of terror to destroy all.
Cinderella's lack of legs in this reimagining made me think back to the original story by the Brothers Grimm where the step sisters would cut parts of their feet off to fit the glass slipper 😮 its quite a cool segue to anyone whose read the original 😊
I really like Cinderella, that's so good, the texture of her skin, like she's dried up! But Elsa's colouring is something else! Such pretty colours!

Cinder-Skella definitely scared me the most. Though Ice Monster Queen Elsa reminds me of a nightmare I used to have where an ice queen monster chased me through my alma mater of university.

Rapunzel reminds me of that episode where Jasmine & Aladdin get turned into snakes. Which would be cool to see other characters as snakes! Something I'd love to see you do is Marvel/DC/comic characters especially the X-men like rogue, storm, Jean grey etc. Seeing them reimagined as Disney princesses or Disney princesses reimagined as super heroes would be so cool!
Those are soooo good! I especially love Cinderella's look...maaaan... She scares me a bit there! I want to get back to drawing my characters, and maybe I can use one of your books! I love the cartoony look, I find it so fun because of how crazy it can get!!

I loved all of them but Cinderella was definitely my favorite. I immediately thought of the art I've seen for the vietnamese version of Cinderella which is my favorite and it gave off serious spooky phantom vibes. Line work is still so satisfying 🖤

For Cinderella, I was reminded of that one really messed up scene in Cinderella III: A Twist in Time, when Lady Tremaine tracks down Cinderella before her wedding day, replaces her with Anastasia whom she altered to look like Cinderella, and threw the real one into this field where she was engulfed in that giant rotting pumpkin, then the pumpkin grew these nasty vines and snagged this horse that tried to run away, then the horse was trying to get the pumpkin thing off of it and it almost went over a cliff, it was like something right out of Evil Dead. LOL What if for your monster design that was how Cinderella actually died, but the Fairy Godmother brought her spirit back with the power over pumpkins, and the reason she looks emaciated is because the pumpkin that consumed her sucked out all her life to grow itself to that enormous size, and now she's back to use pumpkins on Lady Tremaine and Drizella in the same way that Tremaine killed her, engulfing them in pumpkins, and once she drains Tremaine and Drizella's essences, that will be what gives Cinderella "life" again, or makes her look rejuvenated?
For Elsa, I like Elsa just fine as her own character, but I kinda wish they made their own evil rendition of the Snow Queen, because I thought she was a great villain in the original fairy tale. So to make Elsa this figure completely encased in ice shards for the lower half of her body was a nice touch. :)
The way you drew Elsa reminded me of some of her earlier design sketches, when she wasn't a queen, but a villain.
Quite unexpected but welcomed. The artwork is superb as always Mei Yu. As for the three Disney princesses being transformed into monstrous versions I'd have to rate them as a group as they are all roughly the same more or less. On the scale of 1 to 10 I'd say they're a high 6 or a low 7. Of course given my background and what franchise I'm from you can understand my grade of them. For a little child though they'd most certainly be 10s. As for my favorite of the three it has to be Elsa with Rapunzel second and Cinderella bringing up the rear. Even when you draw scary characters they seem cute and adorable. I suppose it can't be helped. It's just your style of drawing Mei Yu. Look forward to the next installment of this specific series.
I can't wait for part 3. Also, can you do Shantae characters (Shantae, Sky, Squid Baron, Bolo and Ammo Baron) reimagined as Halloween monsters (like ghosts, witches, vampires, zombies, werewolves and mummies)?

Rapunzel as Lamia was the coolest though head canon for Cindy is if the prince didn’t save her in the end she would turn into a vengeful spirit
Cinderella is my favorite princess since I was five and she still is and you did such in amazing creative way with her it is truly amazing it would be really cool to see you do more Cinderella and see what other concepts you would have for her, I love your channel 🤗

I loved all of them, but my favorite is Elsa and Rapunzel. I love it.
I think rapunzel wasn’t able to save Flynn and she devoured him in anger and lost control.
Cinderella’s prince never came so she turned into the thing that stopped her from staying at the ball (the pumpkin carriage).
Hans shot Elsa with the arrow but instead of dying she grew crystals and became lady icicles.
I would want evil cinderella on a sweatshirt tbh 🤗

I absolutely loved all of these. I adored the Tim Burton feel for the Cinderella design and Elsa reminded me of the show Winx Club. Very spooky
