First. I’ve been sick all week, so if you’re wondering why Doc’s voice sounds different in this video, that’s why. The other Ahhctober vids proved to be a lot longer than expected, so I had to postpone the Dream Warriors vid. It’ll still happen, though. I think. Happy Halloween!
So I went out and bought this flick after watching the review, which proved troublesome as I could only get an imported copy here in the UK. Point is, genuinely enjoyed it from start to finish. It's a beautifully shot film that oozes Halloween, and each tale is fun. There's a dark streak of humour mixed in, although if you want true horror it's not massively scary. A few little spine-tingling moments. Couple of the twists were great, and I liked how everything was linked together so that while it was still four stories, they created one large tale based on a what happens in a town at Halloween. Weakest story for me was the bus, but even then it was still rather good. I'd recommend it.
I was at Wal-Mart today and was surprised to see an actual mass-produced "Sam" Halloween costume for kids. It seems this movie is finally starting to find the iconic status it deserves.
Its' status is the result of internet hype....an army of people repeating things that other people have said. There's nothing there. It's an anthology...which I tend to like...but the stories are pathetically weak. Not ONE of the stories would serve to justify this movie's existence. Even the strongest....about the practical joke that is played on the little misfit girl...is poorly executed.
So can we get a review of Scooby Doo on Zombie Island now? It was always my favorite Scooby Doo movie. Maybe even a series of the Scooby Doo animated films?

Oh my god! I just realized smthing!!! Sam grabbed that chocolate bar from Wilkins' batch! And it had a razor in it!! But Sam knowing the rules CHECKS HIS CANDY and put it to good use! Attacking Kreeg!

I fucking love this movie. I feel so bad for The "Troubled" Kids, especially when the boy wearing the Dracula mask knows they are not going the right way and begins to freak out. This movie really to me personally and for my affinity for the genre was a unique breath of fresh air, with Mini Movies as a collective to reveal the plot.
I've dressed as the masked vampire man who stalks Laurie for several Halloweens, finding a similar mask online and buying a black hooded cape at a goth shop. It's cool when other people recognize the costume from the movie, but more often then not I'd get mistaken for Batman or Darth Vader. What's especially annoying is when someone stops you and wants to guess what your costume is as if it's some kind of quiz, and I know they aren't going to get it so all I can do is just stand there getting more and more aggrevated with each of their wrong guesses. 😤
Actually, the comic book parts were there because there was supposed to be a comic released by DC comics partner Wildstorm comics on a weekly basis, ending on October 31, 2007, but was released with all four comics in October 2009 when the film was backlisted. Fun fact: Michael Dougherty did the illustrations for the comics. Not as much dedication as the Blair witch creators, but a fun little touch

Im not a fanboy for saying this but Michael Dougherty is a amazing director. and puts a lot of time developing his stories and movies. I think he would be great at helping making the Five nights at Freddie's movie

I recently saw this at a friend's Halloween party and I loved this film, around the 3rd story with the girls I almost passed out! But you'll have to watch the film to see why, cause I'm not spoiling anything!!
I think the second story is actually my least favourite of them all, the school bus flashback is cool but not a huge fan of the rest of it, it's okay. Then the 3rd one is my 2nd least favourite with the warewolf girls, it's fine I guess, ending is kinda cool. Then the first story and the third story's are my favourite by far, I really enjoy the first one with the principle, he's played really well and the ending is cool. While the 4th story has Sam.. And Sam is cool and cute, would love to see more of Sam in another film but I doubt that will happen. Overall the film Is no Where near as amazing as everyone claims it is, I think it gets too much praise, but I still think it's a good solid film with some very good and memorable sequences.
I just realized that the last story is similar to an episode of Tales from the Darkside called "Halloween Candy". I wonder if there was some inspiration there.

I love this film! ^_^ In 2015, a graphic novel prequel/sequel was released titled "Trick 'r Treat: Days of the Dead," which reignited my desire to see a sequel to this little gem!
I remember watching this movie on TV one late night some years ago and I was so confused because I've never heard about a movie having multiple stories.
This is my favorite horror movie and I agree about the 2nd story. I would love a goonies style movie where these characters and the 2nd story are made into a full length movie

One of the first blurays I bought and ordered on Amazon was a great Halloween other than the classic john carpenter's Halloween
