The Creeper is Victor Salva's alter ego fantasy. A pedophile Superman who can't be killed and can snatch any boy he likes. This really became more apparent in the sequels.

People still revere Roman Polanski who was equally if not a more horrifying sex offender and people will constantly defend Polanski long after he’s dead.

This is actually how I found your channel, I searched a jeepers creepers review the DAY U UPLOADED IT, since then I've seen every TH-cam upload of yours except the hour+ gameplays (although I've actually seen enough of those lol, if not all but not fully) still waiting for a jeepers creepers 2 review as it scared me wayyyy more when I was younger, and a review of 3 would be great bc it SUCKSSS 🤣

I'm glad I'm not alone because some of my friends think this is a really great horror flick and scorn me for feeling it's just pretty middling. Glad for the return of AHHHCTOBER; I love it when you say AHHCTOBER. Thanks for your dedication to being a great horror host. You really remind me of the days of Commander USA, Rhonda Shear, and Joe Bob Briggs. In closing, you rock.

It is a great throwback monster flick, it's not supposed to be high brow filmmaking, just a fun monster movie. Yes, the director is a piece of shit creep, but lots of people worked on this film, not fair to hate on it just because of one guys terrible actions. I've always thought this first film was a fun watch
I always found Jeepers Creepers to be a pretty scary and underrated film and the Creeper himself definitely is one of the more overlooked horror villains out there but I do agree that the characters are kind of annoying and make some very stupid decisions which does weaken the film a little bit but I still find it to be a solid horror flick.
If there wasnt any dumb decisions then there would be no movie lol
I loved justin longs character I thought they should've made it where the creeper ate Trish instead and brung darry back as the hero in jeepers creepers 2 but I really did love jeepers creepers 1&2 but 3 sucked ass I hope they do make a 4th one but if it aint better then the 3rd then its gonna suck to
I totally agree with you. I do add the complaint that they reshot a scene that showed the Creeper speak. A scene I REALLY love because with one line it adds a lot to the movie. As for the stupid decisions, well you know what they said in that old Geico commercials. "If you're in a horror movie, you make bad decisions". Besides, I've seen stupider people in horror movies.

The Dennis DePue case from Unsolved Mysteries (that the first part is inspired by) is creepy as hell.
The only problem I have with this movie, is they cut the scene showing the Creeper speak. That scene added SO MUCH with just one line of dialogue.

I think this movie is freaking great. I always enjoy watching it. I can understand the criticisms of the plot dump lady and some of the dumb decisions the characters make but I still enjoy it a lot.
Specially the Creeper's lore as well as the main message of the movie, the fact that the main guy is doomed from the start yet they struggle all the way to the end just to fail is not anti-climactic to me whatsoever, it makes sense and it made for a very intense ending.
Great review you did Dr.Wolfula as part of Ahhctober I definitely enjoyed Jeepers Creepers film that I went to see the third film in series and your reviews are really awesome and funny.

I think it would’ve been better without the psychic character. I liked the beginning when it was a mysterious truck whose driver you didn’t really get a good look at and I think it they had too much explanation and showing the creeper too much. They could’ve had the characters somehow figure out some details about the Creeper themselves and left a lot of it a mystery.
The CREEPER stealing the boy instead of the woman...sounds like salva put a lil bit of himself in that ending
I remember when I first got this from the library. Watched it, thought “hey that was pretty good”

Ill always be proud to say this was my first doc video i ever saw. Was looking to see if any nerds did any actual reviews on jeepers creepers (not cinemasins, or dead meat which was brand new then) THE DAY HE HAPPENED TO UPLOAD THIS. Amazing opening, amazing channel that im glad to have found and even introduce my little brother to. Thanks doc and shout out goulash, ahhhhctober will forever be a part of my life and i had no idea how much id grow to love your work with that simple click in 2017. Might be a little late to the party, but theres still ice in punch. Hell i got to wait forever for the texas chainsaw review to drop, that mustve felt legendary to ppl who were waiting for like 9 yrs lol.

This is a good example of "Simpsons did it." Nothing is original, it's all about how you make the trope your own. The only thing Pennyswise and The Creeper have in common is their feeding time limit, otherwise they're totally different. Pennywise is a Lovecraftican horror from space and The Creeper isn't really explained, but he's probably a demon or something.

I find it amazing how in this and the sequel, Florida looks amazingly like rural Nebraska. But of course Florida is world renowned for its amazing corn fields. LMAO 😂😂😂😂 Honestly Doc until this review I didn't know the films were set in Florida lol. I would think we'd see orange orchards and not corn fields. Love Ya Brother! Fun review Sir!

Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2 are some of my favorite horror movies. I personally like them better then any Scream,Childs Play and Friday the 13th movies. Very underrated movies imo

I Love this film. Shit TCM had almost no back story to the characters other than their grampa's family home. The Creeper is awesome and unique and campy and is an artist who happens to regenerate if he eats enough bodyparts. so many cool elements in here. I'm a fan of most Salva films, he does damn good Horror and Spiritual movies

Actually a pretty decent horror film for the times. Pretty much the only horror film I can think of that was any good that came out round about that time period.
Victor salva though that's what ruins it knowing what and who he is that's the real monster I suppose
