MS Excel and special macro written in Visual Basic. The hardest part was programming the rotation speed according to the chart of velocity. The simulation was animated by merging screenshots.

@@l-air You really put effort into that. Geogebra has primitive animation capability too, but I haven't done anything serious with it.

SolidWorks. With this program you can draw parts, assemble parts and make animation. You can also draw parts in other program (AutoCAD, KOMPAS 3D) and then open them in SolidWorks for further assembly of mechanism and modelling.
