That little baby Roddy is beautiful! Poor little guy! I’m sure he’s wondering where mommy went! Great job with all your babies! I have so much respect for all of you! I just love monkeys, they’re fascinating!
I hope little Roddy does well and survives. I was so excited to see the name come up. I'm Lisa Roddy. And thank you to all of you for the amazing work you do!
I am revisiting this episode 5 months later and find myself fascinated by the intricate maneuvers required to integrate an ex-pet. Who would have thought?: teaching Chibi proper monkey manners; rotating a large number of females through his enclosure, from lower-ranking females to higher-ranking ones; everything has been so carefully thought out. This is where terrific experience with these animals certainly pays off.
Videos like these & Born Free USA & Primarily Primates are so much better than the other ones that show none of this. Interviews & explanations enable one to tell the difference. Thank you.
Thanks for this video, which shows moments of little Charlotte - she is a cute monkey girl. I am happy to see, that she looks healthy now and is ready to find a foster mom...
Ty so very much for taking good care of all the babies as they grow you make sure that they gain trust in the other monkeys and formed a tribe. Thank you again. Ya'll rock
Poor Baby Roddy. Being a newborn is scary, leaving your safe, warm womb and coming into this big, confusing world, but then not having your Mom is even more difficult. Thank You for trying to make Roddy's journey a little less frightening, and for caring for this cute little guy!❤️🐵🐒
FLOKI!!!! Great to see ya, Buddy! And Charlotte looks amazing, give yourselves a pat on the back! Shes come a long way, and I think you're right, Dave, she carries herself like a little leader! Definitely a high-ranking little warrior princess. So, Here's to Another Great Season to Everyone @ The Vervet Monkey Foundation! You all are seriously some very cool & extremely special ppl. Not only to the animals that you help, save & protect, but to your fans (that you sometimes save, as well!) Sending you all luck, love, good health & best wishes. xx
Such a sweet, beautiful face little Roddy has. My heart just breaks for these beautiful little orphans. I hope you all know just how amazing you are for the love and security you bring to these sweet sweet animals. 💕
A new season, now it begins! 🐒❤ It is interesting learning about integrating an older, pet vervet. Chibi gets a chance at having a normal vervet life after all. You all are terrific!
Thank you for the videos and for taking care of the baby vervet monkey. Prayers To All Your Staff and The Vervet Monkeys. Everyone Have A Safe And Blessed Life Amen
Dave as usual a great video covering quite a few monkeys.I just love how you take such care of the ones with limitations and stay right on top of the health of all monkeys. You,Josie and staff do an awesome job, never letting care slip.Thank you.💛
I love the way things are doing and I love to see these monkeys while doing a great job I know it's a difficult time With covid 19 God-bless you helping these poor monkeys material situations
Congratulations on a new season and on making it through a pretty “lean” year. In the past few years, things have seemed pretty lean for lots of us. Even so, lots of us, myself included, gain hope and strength through witnessing the good work you do there with those beautiful creatures. May you continue to succeed always. I’ve watched all your videos, but have never been able to find one that explains how Floki came into the sanctuary, any background on him and the nature or reason for Floki’s brain damage. Through his mental challenges, he has such a strong personality! I would love to see a dedicated video on Floki. A big Texas thanks from Dallas, and good luck for a great Season Five!
Hi, Bectoria. Another avid fan here. I first became aware of Floki in Season 4, episode 1. As I remember the story, Floki was found in the possession of people who were trying to sell him. Initially it appeared his legs had been broken to keep him from running away; later the diagnosis may have been the damage done to his legs was caused by being tied up so he wouldn't escape. In all events, he was rescued, and when taken to the vet, the femoral head of his leg was found to be damaged/missing, and complicated surgery was required. In season 4, episode 2, adorable tiny Cupcake did her best to climb up on him and comfort him. See th-cam.com/video/ZL86oeA-K_E/w-d-xo.html
Such a lovely video, especially after watching the awful treatment of the little monkeys in Cambodia and Thailand. I did report-them but I was informed that did not agree that there was abuse. So sickening. Thanks for all that you do for these precious creatures.
Excellent video for the start of the new season. Great to have the updates on all the others too. My heart leaps whenever you show Gimli. What a success story he is. He looks so happy and healthy now but I'm sure we all wondered if this could ever happen. You all, and he, excelled yourselves. Charlotte too is quite the miracle in only 5 weeks. Thanks for video and all your hard work.
Thank you all so much for the time and effort that you devote to these beautiful little ones to be able to have best life ❤ 💗 💖 💕 💙 You all are special people....Love wins ❤
Your new baby season is starting off with many patients and that's not good for the monkey's sake, but we love watching you all take care of them, as you guide them to their second chance to life! Thank you for that! 💖 I'm happy to see that Dave has upgraded his truck, his last one looked like it had quite a few miles on it! Dave really Needs a reliable vehicle cause of the many miles driven to retrieve these orphans! Happy for you! 👍
Sending love and best wishes from New Jersey (USA) near NYC and I have so much respect for ya all including Dave and (never forget) Kyle and just all of ya ! Wish I could donate more but I do my very best at watching all the adverts !!
As always, so enjoyable to watch these wonderful videos and see the babies' progress. Gimli is getting so big! "Ms." Charlotte, ready to go...an amazing comeback. Thank you all for the work you do, and for making the time and effort to produce these videos. It will be interesting to see the new tiny munchkin, Roddy, navigate his way through his new world. Hugs to you all...
Nice truck Dave! You really needed It. I wish season 5 was no babies and the mommy's Well live happily ever After…….. Thanks to Dave and All that work at the foundation all the babies that come in, find a mommy. Love watching you guys, great work.
I've been following this channel for a month or so now. Watching videos all night helps keep my mind off off mug chronic pain. My spine collapsed, surgery failed, long story. It's also why I haven't been able to become a patron and I apologize for that. I would live to be able to help these sweet babies out if I could. I just a question. How do you keep the released monkeys from breeding? So far, I've not seen any babies when the foster mom's come to the gate. Of course I may just not be into the videos far enough yet.
What ? Is wrong with people ? I will never understand how one can take pleasure in hurting another be it human or animal ?? I watched the opposite on Arroz Marisco’s channel as an abandoned pig tail (?) was rescued and AM gave some advice but the little one (named Charlotte) did not make it, you can feel the hurt in their voices, that’s why I can never understand how some will do it on purpose !!
What is the formula for baby monkeys? This brings back memories of my first 2 vervets in 1948 in Gold Coast now Ghana. We had Yo Yo and Matilda. What fun they were.
Adorable Roddy 🥰 He will have a foot full life now! Why using the dish for milk and not a bottle for the one little one? Just curious. Flokey troop ☺️☺️☺️
How to the adults in the troops and the bandits stay hydrated? Is there water bowls put out for them? I know that they are given food but just wondering what they drink cuz I haven't noticed any streams or rivers.
I am new to your channel, which I love, by the way. I have watched several episodes and have a question. How do you keep your wild population down? Some kind of birth control? Curious.
I noticed your comment as I re-watched this episode. It reminded me of a video you might find interesting. Go to their "playlists" and click on "VMF VLOG" you'll see a video called "Vervet Monkey gets a Vasectomy". How did you hear about VMF?
I keep forgetting to ask this - if the troops don't eat all the food provided, do other animals clean up what's left? Or do you somehow have to get in and clear up to stop it rotting? I've been meaning to ask this for ages!
fortunately the sun dries it quiet quickly so its really just dried skins which break down into the soil as compost- although there are alot of insects , mongoose, rats etc that do also feed on it aswell as a variety of birds
Hey Dave, I was wondering if you could attach a short piece of surgical tubing to the nipple of a bottle and see if the little ones would nurse at that easier. It would be soft like a real teat. Silicone tubing could work as well.
That little baby Roddy is beautiful! Poor little guy! I’m sure he’s wondering where mommy went! Great job with all your babies! I have so much respect for all of you! I just love monkeys, they’re fascinating!
what an adorable baby that is

Great sound values on Howie and Danny drinking their milk at 19.52! Lovely clear shots of their faces too! Sweet.

So nice to see these monkeys and that there are people who really care about them unlike the situation of some monkeys in Cambodia.

Dave's explaining how the babies can get pneumonia and little Roddy answers "Ya, do it right" 0:30 .

Oh, my! Roddy may be the youngest babe you've had!
She wanted a mom.
Such gloriously long tails.

Favorite scene 6:20!! 😂😂
Love that music at the end of the video. :)
Roddy wants her mommy.
One of Gods miracles.
Roddy eats small amounts. And becomes sleepy

I'm new here since last night. I have a quick question for you, how is Yolanda doing I saw her story last night... I hope she is doing fine.
Question.....what is the coldest it usually gets there and how long will the cold spell last? Just curious.
very seldom goes below 15 - we never worry about the cold its more the heat - you have to love it
@@VervetMonkey thank you. I remember how hot it was in Liberia and how it was even worse sometimes after a rain.
She's seeking comfort.
Is it possible to pick whom you want to adopt
👏👏👏👏👏
Are they in a in closed area
Roddy looks much older than a day old. He doesn't keep looking for a teet to suckle on.
She wants her mommy.
How many troops are in your foundation ?
15
Is a vervet related to macaques? or related to another family? Capuchins?
I don't know very much about monkeys.
no they have there own family group and are old world monkeys
I’m so confused. What happened to Butter? Wasn’t Butter first or is it the same infant?

thanks - we have diffrent types of teats, the hardest part is not to force the milk into them and be a slow as possible
How many monkeys are in one trupp?
in the wild between 40 - 100
Hi there i have a question do the step moms sometimes kill the baby they are given to foster?
No they dont
Why is he so blue?
