What a huge coco on her coconut! Sweet little Vervets deserve the new life you so mercifully will give them...everyone should have a chance at a new beginning when they experience a traumatic start in life....even late in life....if only there was such a great organization consisting of these same pure of heart members that could rescue rehabilitate and introduce human beings into new family troupes.
Dave and the rest of the VMF crew does an amazing job with all the animals that come to them, just amazing and with so much tender loving care !! I wish I had $$ but I’m on Disabillity now after working for over 40+ years so I watch the adds as much as possible, I try for 100% but sometimes I fail !!

Charlotte is so sweet why would anyone want to hurt this precious baby!! Who ever did this is beyond me!! This little monkey wants to live and be with her family too! Like anyone would want!!!Not to have a sick person snuff out her life!! There needs to be stricter laws in this country to stop hurting these poor animals!! America won’t allow cruelty to animals you go to jail!!
They do it because they destroy farms. Put yourself in the struggling farmers position who gets no subsidy form their government for disasters like our government does with our farmers. I hate seeing them hurt as well but I understand.

I know Floki is my very favorite 🤩 too! He could almost have his own weekly 10 15 min update show named after him or based on him and the other special cases like Belle and all of them in Calypsos corner I think it’s called. Plus they just redid their area. But still Floki is my very favorite the way he runs and eats his smoothies like killed something after and just his kindness with all of the babies in Disneyland during baby season last year was the sweetest! He has the heart of an angel!! I’m sure we aren’t the only ones who love him!

Perhaps Kevin has already addressed in his videos but I'll ask any way 1. Who chooses who or is the choice/decision made mutually? (What do you think is the deciding factor for the choice?) 2. Are the foster moms spayed? So unlike SOME monkeys, they are able to CHOOSE a baby rather than STEAL one? Oh! One more thing...I LOVE how you rigged up the climbing for Charlotte so she can hang on and keep her balance as her brain builds back her ability to climb all OVER the place!

Eliot is just a reversal of what is normally expected. Not only born definitely out of season but here he us chasing an adult female around wanting her to be his mom while usually it's the females that have to play the aloof game or chase down a baby and force that first hug. Infant meeting adult females usually seem very timid to start with and so it was surprising to see Elio almost immediately running over to grab her tail. I would suspect a female used to having to cajole babies into first contact may have found a baby pushing for a mom like that totally out of the realm of what they are expecting. I might have decided that maybe he was a bit to needy or demanding to take on out of season like that were it could be more difficult to raise and care for an infant and run away quickly too. He is pretty clingy not that you can blame him of course, for the short time he had a mom it's also possible she was very high ranked, or had many daughters around and he never was without someone to hold on to, which makes it more curious how he got separated. He may actually benefit with a couple of mothers or many female juvenile to help out. I expect he is going to be a tough one for a mom. It can take a lot of imagination to do the physical therapy necessary to help any primate get strength back in a hand and strength and flexibility back in fingers for gripping and climbing. Getting the disabled side fingers to work on fine motor control to do that as they tend to out whit you when you offer a large piece of food to occupy the good hand and try to get them to pick at small things like berries with the one that needs physical therapy, or offer foods that need to be pulled apart they simply switch and use the better hand. We have found that often placing favorite foods as high up in the cage which they have to climb a rope or narrow branch to get too works both hands and all fingers well, even if they end up using the good hand to get the food, they have to use the damaged side to hold on which does help strengthen the hand, not sure how that would work with only one leg though. Grooming another money would work and strengthen his hands and fingers as soon as he can spend time in a larger cage with another.
You have such a great love for the monkeys and have created a wonderful sanctuary for them. Your videos have brought me great joy during Covid 19 isolation. Thank you so much for all you do. BTW how is Kyle?? What is he up to these days?? Anyone know?
If i found out who put that pellet there I would be at their house and within minutes their head would be in a unnatural position (spun backwards) Amazing job anyway I’m very happy she survived!
Wow that’s a 22 caliber pellet and she is so lucky that hit her skull because if it where her eye or a softer tissue area she would not be with us. Either that or this guy didn’t pump his gun up fully

Lol 😂 Thankfully he got a sweet mom with Maggie May in the end but he’s never letting go…ever!! Lol! So happy he has his new Mommy!!
It looks like Maggie May might not want to be a foster mom to the little one. She doesn't grab him to put him to her chest and she doesn't wrap her arms around him. He grabs on where ever he can and she pushes him off. You didn't show if they worked it out or them leaving together.

Usually around a year. Some a little more and some a little less. Depends on the monkey but the average is around a year.
