Thank you for this in depth video. My nephew was having issues with a build that I was helping with on this board, and was getting a solid CPU and RAM light. He told me partpicker was saying he may need a BIOS update, and wasn't sure where the BIOS was on the board. That sticker zoom in helped me locate it to make sure that was not the issue. Now it's time to try and figure out what IS the issue :)
I'm glad the video helped! Def make sure the RAM is seated fully. If you keep having the RAM light on, try taking one stick out. If the problem persists, try the ram in a different slots and then try the other stick. Also, since the CPU light is also on, maybe consider taking the CPU out and putting it back in, but before you re-insert check for any bent pins. Depending on what cooler you're using make sure any plastic peel on the part touching the CPU has been removed. Also anytime you remove the cooler you'll need to clean and re-apply thermal paste so make sure to buy a spare tube. I recommend this anyway as you'll want to do maintenance after a year or 2 and apply fresh paste anyway. Hope your nephew gets the PC to work!
Hello, I have a weird question but can I add a heatsink with my M.2 SSD? I ask this because I noticed that the M.2 slot is hidden behind the graphic card
Very nice overview of the motherboard. I just got one and am wondering do I need to connect the 24pin and 8pin power connectors from my PSU? I’ll be using a Ryzen 9 3900x. No OC. Thanks!
Thanks for the watch! Yes, you will need to connect both power connectors. the 24-pin specifically powers the motherboard while the 8-pin will provide more power to the CPU, so you absolutely need those. You may even want to connect that supplemental 4-pin CPU connector as well.
Kind of late here, but urgent question, would a ryzen 7 7700 pair well with this motherboard? I want to upgrade from my Ryzen 5 5600x, but just want to be certain it’s comparable or if I’ll have to update bios any response is appreciated thank you!
Hey, my PC startet for 2 days after that it just shut down, it was the CPU, but now i have a New one and it dont Show anything on my Monitor i checken the gpu and motherboard but Nothing works, the LED for CPU und Dram ist still on idk what to Do:/
Make sure your ram and gpu are seated properly. The try stick at a time. And before all of that make sure your display port or hdmi cablemod fully plugged in at both ends. Those are some basic trouble shooting.
One is more than enough. SATA drives are usually almost as fast as nvme ones for daily use. Don't get fooled by the theoretical speeds: these can only be attained when copying huge files, and even then, you are more likely to be limited by the USB connection, which won't give you more than SATA speed on regular 5Gbit/s USB3 connections.
@@sassuki this is objectively wrong.. yes most users wont notice the speeds but i do because i do gamedev and video editing, and copy 100s of gb everyday so yes i do see the benefits from Nvme drives and i have 3 now. 500mb/s vs 3gbps+ are a massive speed upgrade and they cost very similar prices nowdays

I used this motherboard for three years now with RTX 3060ti, 32GB, SSDs, Wifi...etc. it's amazing .. Thank you for the information
Great content, you really showcased all the features in this motherboard. Thanks!

Thanks, I did not know that I needed a 2nd CPU to updating the BIOS. Madning.
Only if the cpu you intend to use is not compatible due to the current bios installed. But I agree. It is maddening.
The PS2 port is popular among enthusiast gamers as it allows to push more keys on the keyboard at the same time .
Thanks from Brazil, good video, I wanted to know if it comes with an updated bios for Ryzen 5 5500
Thanks from Brazil Seth, good video about this motherboard, you help me.
Awesome review!
Hey brother, thank you for your video. So, the second m2 slot, is missing the slot. So, is not possible to add a sdd there right:
Correct, the motherboard only has 1 m.2 slot for storage.
Hello, I have a weird question but can I add a heatsink with my M.2 SSD?
I ask this because I noticed that the M.2 slot is hidden behind the graphic card
If it’s low profile enough, you can add a heatsink.

great breakdown
Hi, would a 6600 fit in this board? The pci 4.0 slot looks too close to the other ports in the back, is there enough space?
should fit just fine. GPUs tend to be bulky going towards the bottom and not so much to the top where the rear i/o would be.
@@MiddleofKnowhere I see, thanks alot

Not with this motherboard no. This is an AM4 socket board, you need anything with an AM5 socket so like a B650 chipset or X670.
Does the rgb software work in this motherboard?
Yes, AsRock Polychrome will work.
Hey! Just a quick quetion. Do you think there can be any problems pairing this motherboard with the likes of ryzen 7 5700x or ryzen 7 5800x ?
I do not think you’ll have issues.
Just do a bio update and your good
What does the /ac mean?
Great question. AC is for the wifi speed standard on the board. It’s faster than N which is faster than a b and g. They’re all wifi standards.
@@MiddleofKnowhere Oh ok, Thank you!
Is a 5600x with rx7600 good for this mother board?
This would be a great budget oriented combo with that mobo.
Can I put a 4070 Super with a 5800x3D processor? Is it suitable for this motherboard?

Can i use liquid cooler on this motherboard?
Yeah you should be able to
@@MiddleofKnowhere sir 1 more question, this mobo support pcie gen 4?
Yep. For specifics check the video. I lay it all out. :)

@@MiddleofKnowhere nope :(

Thank you ! Do you think that a 5600x and rtx 2060 are a good combo with this mb ?
You're welcome. Ty for watching! I def think that combo will work with this mobo.
@@MiddleofKnowhere thank you so much :D
does anyone have this mobo? can u tell me if this is a usb-controlled mobo?
Will R9 3900x be compatible with this board?
Yes it will, but you might want to buy a motherboard with a better power delivery and power delivery heatsink.
@@MiddleofKnowhere Oh ok. Any suggestions?
MSI b550 a pro is good or the asrock pg velocita
@@MiddleofKnowhere Thanks
Damn finally a video that made it clear.. it has only one m.2 slot :/ damn going to need a new motherboard
If you need a board with 2 check out n my msi b-550 video. I liked that board.
