hii thank u all for the unexpectedly nice remarks, currently working on an automation (game) thinky but more ftd stuff is in the works, ill make some community polls for it but since currently im at risk of some housing troubles, i cant give any time estimation for that, id hope to get the automation vid out either this month or a bit into may if things blow over
This is genuinely good, my only gripe is that the music in the beginning of the video drowns out your voice lol. Keep up the good work man, I wanna see more FTD videos 100%.
I’d love to see more about your design and build process. I feel like the sheer time difference between building and fighting is one of the biggest difficulties in this game
In my opinion, this is the type of content FTD severely lacks. I really enjoyed the clever editing and cinematic shots of each battle. Please turn this into a series!
@@markosimunic4770 I recently-ish started playing. My campaign save is 1/3 of the way through its first war at best, where I've lost 1/2 of my vehicles in combat and am hemorrhaging supplies. I have pumped 80 hours into the game, and of that, 70 of those hours were building, watching someone else build and then figure out how to do that myself, or fixing the PIDS the 11th time
only 3 minutes in and the shell graphic has been one of the simplest and digestible showing of how shells work! In a game where you can always learn more showing what the shells look like, do, and the pro/cons could make it a lot easier for newer players to understand. Keep up the great work!!
Beautifully edited video and beautiful tanks! Bravo! 👏👏👏 And welcome to FtD content-making hell. We all float down here... once we figure out how to get the darn ships to float, that is. XD
Dude ive dropped around 2.2k hours in this game, and it is so nice seeing someone else this genuinely interested that still learns stuff with every campaign
Holy shit good job. You have my respect for not only making great vehicles but also doing an amazing job editing the video. I can only imagine how long it took. Well done
Awesome editing you did with the shells there! btw next time either lower the music or use some ducking for it so that you are easy to hear, that'd be awesome!
Fausrr ftd content is something i would like to see more of. I'm in the shower letting this play through and thinking about how lath has leveraged the algo and *boom* i hear 'im. Request - keep the explanation segments in future videos. I love the goldilocks testing. Im seeing episode progression where you continue to introduce the factions as they come into play thru to completion. Each episode could highlight a new build or design concept, either as your whimsy leads or as the opposition indicates. I love the music tracks. Very groovy for build montages and action clips.
yups, rn i have an idea of having 3 episodes, each changing the ''theme'', but ill make community posts to see if people would rather have 1 video per faction or follow my initial plans
I can't wait for more FtD content, I love your video and editing style. Keep up the hard work and i hope you enjoy FtD as much as i have for the past 9 years.
Genuinely enjoyed this video. The editing and the battle shots were great, I particularly really like the part at 9:48 good laugh! I do look forward to seeing more from you.
All of these videos on this game are hyping me up, you got sea, air, space, and land? Sounds perfect, I know it can be slow paced with the building but I'm fine with that.
The music and cimamatography is exactly what this games needs. Great job with the video, hope to see the entire campaign done this way. The blueprint Bit at the begining was really neat. My second favorite part. The combat being the favorite of corse.
Im hooked, I love the charm and editing of the video. imo you found a great persona/style that I’ve never quite seen on TH-cam and I love it, keep making videos. From the Depths is a series I wish to be continued.
An amazing video! Knowing how long it takes before vehicles are ready plus the time it takes to edit the hours spent on this. Great job! few subscribers for the quality of the video!
It’s impressive how much you can learn by watching others play FTD. Even me with 2,000+ hours, I can say I learned something from this video with repurposing vehicles for alternate roles and the really helpful graphic on shell design!
Love your videos, small creator and better then some big subs. I need a gif version of that shell graph, its such a useful and simppe showing how shells works to new peeps!
Very good. High production values and cool designs. Maybe raise your voice volume just a teensy bit? I loved the music but it overpowered your voice a little at times.
I suggest making the music a bit less loud for the rest i really enjoyed the video, I love the fact that small youtubers are almost always better then big youtubers
here is some advice from someone who has completed the land campaign a few times remember to bring air craft as they can be useful especially against one of the 2 tech factions and you can build pipes by placing buildings with only containers on them, with enough finagling with the logistics tab i am sure you can set it up so that your main production bases get all the resources good tank design either way, but i recommend reducing the size of the opening in the hull for the turret and armoring the neck to prevent shots from slipping inside your hull and completely destroying your turret lastly, most vehicles will become combat ineffective below 70% health so remember to withdraw them from combat when appropriate overall good vid, i would like to see your campaign of total war succeed
yup, buncha stuff planned for the next one a yeah ik that method, thought i did that but that was a diff run lol yeah the gap in the turret is a weakness, but i did it to reduce its size, if something goes trough the turret its prob dead anyway, and it only costs like 20k resources i feel like withdrawing vehicles from combat is a bit cheaty, since the AI cant do the same thank u!!
Good video, some of the panning shots you do during combat kinda drag on and I ended up playing it at double speed until you spoke again. But I like it! Good stuff
Pro tip for campaign play: APS guns can have up to 4 ammo inputs put directly on the firing piece. Those inputs can fit in shells of ANY length, regardless of what your other autoloaders are sized for. So you can fit in an alpha strike of 20 part shells of whatever caliber you're using. And the best part: They reload every time the vehicle is unloaded, which negates their otherwise downside of VERY slow reload speed. The gun's normal operations are not interrupted.
any length? guess that was changed, since i remember then fitting 1m shells, could have been a 2015 thing though, often dont have enough space to fit 4 of them, but 1 could be useful, thank u
this a realy entertaining and overall really well made vid so far. I love it. just one little nitpick: in the "initial planning" chapter the music is a bit too loud. i really have trouble understanding what you are saying. i think turning it down a few notches wouldnt hurt. edit: ok music overall is a bit too loud.
As a recommendation, add flares to your tanks, even better if you can use the missile evasion AI to get it to move towards the missile to make it have to curve down more.
You got a Similar Style as Martincitopants, He did FTD Videos aswell. _not saying your a copy, But I love channels like yours that follow his Sorta style, so yer' good :>👍_
When it comes to front-facers, I tend to not go with turrets. If it's already orienting itself to the target, a turret loses some of its usefulness. They're still good for tracking fast targets but for heavy hitters, I prefer to invest the volume from the turret cap into the weapon and armor. I also just love the look of SPGs
then youll like the next one :3 and yeah, the one i made had versatility in mind to fight mobile vehicles, while not sacrificing looks for performance, which is a major gripe i have with ftd..
I love this game so any content is good content, and this just happens to also actually be good content! Please have a subscription :) Edit: some constructive criticism, the music you added overpowered your voice at some points which made it difficult for me to hear you, could just be a me thing though
thank u! and yea, it was a bad mix of distance sensitive mic and being stuck in a perfectionism loop, where it would have been more efficient to just start all over
The video editing is on par with bigger channels, let down a bit by audio balancing, the music was way too loud relative to commentary but this is at least an easy fix. Oh and I love the vehicle designs, they're just awesome.
Glad to see the Khopesh working as intended, its the first of my new style im adding to DWG for aote campaign, sadly you didnt get to see the new Scrapworks or Sand Raider but thats fine, any feedback for the campaign? What was too easy in DWG or too hard etc First thing ive noticed is that EMP is super OP because smaller designs but ill try to work on that
nice, and yeah my ftd is a bit outdated, since there was a section i wanted to add of a 3rd vehicle, but an update broke it and the 1st vehicle, so just to be safe i just disabled updates for the time being the campaign the designs are great, EMP can be an issue yeah, it makes designs need to be bulky, but my only issues come from the game itself, namely cheese armor (SH wedge armor) which restricts your weapon choices to either missile spam, HP/HESH spam, lasers/PC and such, which imo is kinda lame... id think that a mitigated angle effect could be a way to defeat it, right now the angle+armor just removes a shitton of KE, since the wedge armor isnt homogeneous, its ductility/armor value should be a lot lower, maybe an angle mitigation effect could be added to the heavy head, give it a form of normalization
@@RorstenVT oh nice, havent experimented with the plasmas, i have a whole plan set out for the series is why and nice, thank you for all the work, and imo wedge spam is fine for the more ''advanced'' factions and vehicles
thank u! yup, distance sensitive mic issue, over the span of listening to parts over and over i just got ''tone deaf'' and realized i was in a perfectionism loop and just accepted it, i think i got to -17.2db on the music and abt +3.5db on my voice which made it slightly tolerable, but ill be experimenting with limiters more instead of doing manual mixing
@@fausrr A really good rule of thumb is try to project when you speak, mess with your mic sensitivity is you have to and then keep the music at a max of 50% volume and that usually comes out really nicely without mixing audio getting in the way of getting the video out. Bear in mind it's always better to have a little louder video that people can turn down than a video that's too quiet and people can't turn up but if the music is too loud they'll turn it off. We've all done it
@@OliverPickard ah yeah, i simply went with the feel of it, come back to the video in 2 days or so with a fresh mind and see what i think of it, see what ive missed with the volume in general, ive often had a thing of not being able to get videos quiet enough, and ideally i want to make videos id want to watch myself, so thats how that went, i appreciate the heads up
