My uncle ran a dojo for many years. He used to tell the story of how he, as a young guy just getting started in a dojo with no belts, asked his fellow students what the ranking system was. The reply was, "Just shut up and train." That's how he knew he was in a good school.
People misunderstand the black belt. It doesn't mean you're done training, it means you've become a full student at the dojo. The kyu ranks (colored belts) are for prospective students to learn the basics. At more traditional schools you wear a white belt through all the kyu ranks. At shodan (black belt) you finally qualify to train with the dojo's main instructor and start learning the hard stuff. It's when your training really starts, not ends.

Diana's father is Dan Inosanto, a friend and student of Bruce's who was appointed as one of three students who taught at Bruce's schools. He also introduced Bruce to the nunchaku and was the stick fighter in Game of Death. Diana has taught martial arts along with her husband Ron Baliki, who was a top student of her father and has been a stunt man and coordinator for films, including several Seagal films where he played henchmen that "fought" Sifu Seagal. He fought Seagal using a knife against a sword in "A Good Man."

He's bigger and more aggressive than before due to the environment he's forced to live in (and the roids) and he has a love interest who's killed during his (and his friends) take down of the villain. Is this movie basically Planet Hulk? and would Cage 3 have seen him return to earth and take vengeance on the world? :D

No idea if that meant he helped with training or just fetched coffee (he's also got a credit for catering). @@JasonBrant Just so you know, the show "bengrauartwork" is talking about does not star Shannon Lee at all, she just produced it. It is supposed to be based on the series that Bruce once pitched and that David Carradine's "Kung Fu" series supposedly ripped off because they wanted a white lead actor (which has been disputed). But the show doesn't follow Bruce's storyline much at all from what I can tell, likely (and ironically) so it doesn't seem too close to "Kung Fu" since it was also supposed to be about a wandering martial arts warrior in 1800's America. I watched a little of the show as a Bruce fan, but the lead doesn't have any of the charisma Bruce had.
I think we need to make Cage III.

Wondered at first if the Faux-Claude van Damme who Jeb stomped on was Daniel Bernhardt, but apparently it was a guy named Georges Bejue, who had a very short career tied largely to Jean-Claude. Weirdly, despite looking and being able to move so much like him, Bejue was only Jean-Claude's stunt double on a couple of things and is otherwise just listed as a personal assistant. No idea if that meant he helped with training or just fetched coffee (he's also got a credit for catering). He only ever had a tiny number of on-screen roles, mostly as a nameless fightman like in Cage II. Died a few years ago.

I was thinking, you guys did the Bloodsport Marathon, and they got bad. I think another good Marathon would be Best of the Best, at least all star Phillp Rhee, amd the first one has James Lew vs Eric Roberts, its actually a good movie too.

@@JasonBrant Just so you know, the show "bengrauartwork" is talking about does not star Shannon Lee at all, she just produced it. It is supposed to be based on the series that Bruce once pitched and that David Carradine's "Kung Fu" series supposedly ripped off because they wanted a white lead actor (which has been disputed). But the show doesn't follow Bruce's storyline much at all from what I can tell, likely (and ironically) so it doesn't seem too close to "Kung Fu" since it was also supposed to be about a wandering martial arts warrior in 1800's America. I watched a little of the show as a Bruce fan, but the lead doesn't have any of the charisma Bruce had.
