One thing I always loved about Caveman is the way they actually built up the bones of a primitive language that viewers could follow. It definitely has a goofy charm that makes it worth watching as long as you don't take it too seriously.
Fun fact: As this was shot on Zacatecas, Mexico. Several members of Tonda's tribe are played by mexican supporting actors. At the time a lot of them usually acted in cheap monster or luchador films or raunchy sex comedies. But the cast also includes Gerardo Zepeda "El Chiquilín" as Boola who appeared in Jodorowsky's "El topo" and Miguel Ángel Fuentes as Grot who appeared in both "Puma Man" and Herzog's "Fitzcarraldo".
I loved this move as a kid, mostly because I loved the goofy dinosaurs, but never understood the drugs and sex portions at the time. Watching it later in life, it all came into focus...

nice. Cave was pretty silly looking back but still have a soft spot for it. I always thought the late 'Tooz' Matuszak was very funny and mugged perfectly with Starr.
Ringo is the coolest beatle. He never considered himself too cool for the room, and his wife was by far the hottest of all the beatle wives (she was a bond girl) she also had no missing pieces, and was not a complete psycho.

I will watch any caveman movie for some reason. I think Jim Danforth's work on the dinosaurs was what lifted it above being completely disposable though. I still enjoy Shelly Long's cavegirl performance as well.
This was a regular video watch back in the day with my dad. He recorded on VHS tape in the early 90's and it wasnt until mid 2000s that we found it on DVD. It is a fun cult classic.
I saw this on regular TV broadcast when I was a kid, and I loved it. Even the grown up jokes were funny to me and indeed, the film has not just a funny thing about it but also a cute factor. The Dinosaurs were just hilarious, especially the T-Rex.
I watched this at the base theater at Ft. Bragg/Liberty. My friends and I were as high as the planes we jumped from. I laughed so hard I nearly pissed my pants. It was a double feature with Up In Smoke! Jumpin' Junkies 4ever!!😂
