    Hola Mary! Recuerdo escuchar esas Danzas Rumanas de Bartok a Hadelich, en un vídeo de hace unos años, y los harmónicos son unos sonidos muy especiales, delicados...es como un sonido que se evapora...no sé explicarlo... Preciosas flores hoy! Mil gracias Mary y cuídate mucho!🤗💜🎶💜🎻💜🌸🌷🌹🌺⚘🌼

      Hello Lola! The gorgeous flowers were for my Birthday the other day!
      Gosh, I remember playing the Bartok Romanian Dances in College and the artificial harmonics made my hand cramp up. I had to take a break before the next movement...no technique in those days....ha ha☺
      I adore your fantastic description of harmonics '...it's like a sound that evaporates...'
      That is truly poetic, Lola!
      Thank you for your inspiration and take care of yourself! Mary💗

      Hello Marta! Thank you very much, I'm delighted you found it interesting...the violin keeps developing more sounds after it's big repair. It's really exciting exploring it all...
      But it's so cold here, sometimes I feel like staying under the blankets!
      Take care Marta! Mary💗

      @@violinstudiowithmaryv 😁. Sometimes, Garrett uses gloves. Is this the reason?

    Thanks! So, when playing artificial harmonics with the fourth finger is the harmonic (harmonized?) note always one octave above whatever note your first finger is playing on the given string?

    • @violinstudiowithmaryv
      @violinstudiowithmaryv  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello Brad! Yes, you've got it exactly right. The artificial harmonic note is always one octave above the 1st finger.
      You can hear spectacular artificial harmonics in Paganini Caprices and pieces by Sarasate and Wieniawski on TH-cam...
      (Augustin Hadelich is one of the finest violinists in the world today and he's really worth listening to on TH-cam for his more musical interpretations of these famously difficult pieces...)
