  • Hi girls! Today we're going to be sewing a crop top using the June pattern (linked here: www.etsy.com/l...)
    Here are the materials you'll need:
    - 1 1/8 yds stretch knit fabric with 40% stretch if you are lining the top with the main fabric. If you are using a different lining fabric: 5/8 yd main fabric & 1/2 yd lining fabric
    - Machine needle for sewing stretch knit fabric
    - Matching thread, pins, scissors
    We'll be using the burrito method for the armhole, and you'll be glad you learned how to do it because of how easy and clean it is!

    I made this top today. It turned out amazing! I ironed everything as you recommended and I had NO wavy seams at the end :) Thanks for a great pattern and great instructions! :)

    I wish some of your sewing patterns were free for those who cannot afford to pay for it! Otherwise, your work is just perfect. God bless you !

      I know this comment is a bit old but it is quite rude to ask someone to give their work out for free…

    Can you please share tips on how to reduce bulk under arm when you sew the side seam?

    This pattern is nice and the style is cute. I only wish the fabric color wasn't so vivid so that it would have been easier to see what you're doing sometimes. Thanks for the tutorial!

    Nice and wonderful tricks but pretty tough for beginners 😅

    I have the zigzag option on my sewing machine but I hate it. Does the top turn out with a straight stitch with a ¼” seam allowance?

    • @DressmakingAmore
      @DressmakingAmore  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know which fabric my machine likes to sew, and the seams don't pop when I stretch, so I use straight seams a lot on my knit fabric. But, I also knot which knit fabrics my machine doesn't like - only serger will help with that fabric :) So, try different fabrics to see what works best on your machine! On some knit fabric straight stitches work well, on other it doesn't - just choose the right needle!
