Oh man!!! Dang I hate when stuff flies off and hits me when riding.I think you will have a great time in Carson City and Tahoe…it is beautiful up there-make sure you take a day and drive around the lake…not on the weekend.I think minion Moto live in Palm Springs…probably has roommates. It is expensive there! I sold my old Reckless Fairing today…another guy with a Heritage….told him he’s going to love it! Love my Shoei, for sure…still rock an HJC 1/2 helmet from time to time and an Arai 3/4. I’d come see you in Tahoe, but I’m going out of town for week or so…keep us posted how you do. Thanks for the video, Randy!
Yeah as soon as i saw that truck i knew i was going to get peppered. Thanks for the advice on tahoe. We plan to do the loop road wednesday and have a lake cruise on Thursday. Should be fun. Take care my friend
Wow yea thats hot for sure Randy I was in Palm Springs when I was a kid in the 60's my Uncle & Aunt lived there (they did have a pool) & it was super hot when we were there 110-115F as I remember they showed on the news some guy frying an egg on the sidewalk made me laugh being 10yrs old anyway I think when I get to Arizona someday it will be spring or fall for sure Be safe stay cool enjoy your holiday have fun
Just came across your channel. I recently picked up a low rider s and I’m loving the Memphis shades fairing (coming from a sportster). It’s a game changer. Great video, looking forward to checking out more of your content. New sub!
Howdy. The worst part of az summers is the lows never dropping below 90 for 2 months. August is the worst with high humidity added to the 110,s. Thanks for watching!
@@randytbird6548 No. It's been hot. I have to get out early like you have and I have not. Back to work in the office 5 days now and getting there early would be fine, going home would be no fun. I have something planned in my head. Just gotta do it.
dude! I am so glad I found this video. You mentioned for 25 years , all you had was a motorcycle. That's the situation that I'm in, since I've recently moved out here in Mesa AZ for a job opportunity. I'm currently living with family while saving up for my own place, so buying a truck is out of the question (my truck broke down a week before I got called for the job). I have a 2020 softail streetbob , so the bike should last me several years , the only thing I'm worried about is the monsoon season's and dust storms I've been hearing about. I was also told that there are some heavy rains that flood the streets. I am a very experienced rider but as someone that has ridden everyday in AZ for several years, do you have any key advice? any major important gear/mods to make the commute more comfortable? I'll be working 3pm-2am shift if that put's things into perspective. Knowing that there are people riding daily like I plan too is a huge relief.
Welcome to my channel. The shift you work will be hot on the way in to work but way nice when you get off. Monsoons are unpredictable. Sometimes heavy rain but dont last long dust storms suck. Sit them out! Stay hydrated! Drink before you leave in the heat. The older i get the more it affects me. You can acclimate but over 110 is a whole other game. At 3 am it will be 👍 thanks for watching!
Nice vlog today Randy. I could never get the road warrior to work with my height. I tried every windshield and angle except for 17” but gave up at that point hahah.
I know what you mean. When i had the road king, nothing i tried worked for me. The bike just didnt fit me. Great bike but my body just was incompatible. Take care!

Greetings from a fellow (new) motovlogger in Australia! ✌️
Welcome to the channel !
No apologies necessary. I saw 120 in Tempe on the way home on Thursday. It's been nuts. Anyway, have fun in Tahoe. It'll be a lot cooler up that way.
Take care. Have you been back on the bike since the new glasses came in?

@@my.motorrad looking forward to the video!
Did you ever have a vented windshield for the road warrior? Wonder if they make a difference. Keep hearing mixed opinions about vented vs non vented
I never had one. A friend who does said he coulndt feel a difference. On his road king
I too run 11" road worior on my fxbb, do you prefer this bike over the heratige and slim.
The heritage was very comfortable. The slim was cool looking but the street bob is a blast to ride!

Hi Randy, good video just wanted to. know if you used an extension block before mounting the Memphis shades road warrior fairing?
Yes otherwise the headlight is too far back. Thanks for watching!
@@randytbird6548 Thanks.
Nice video. Take care.
I react the exact same when I get hit by rocks. 😂 sorry bro.
I was unable to avoid it. Makes the heart rate go up for a minute
