    I just ordered one with a 13” windscreen. Very excited to have some wind deflection on the highway

      Nice! It really does make a huge difference mitigating wind fatigue, especially when on the highway for longer trips or commuting.

    Good looking fairing man! And if the extra wind protection keeps you on the road longer, than all the better!

      I'll be on the road for the same amount of time, just a difference in terms of if the bugs are splattered onto the windshield or me

    Finally!! I've been searching intergalacticlly for a review on this fairing from someone who's of the same height & same motorcycle (I have the 22 Rouge). Tall riders don't typically gravitate to the Scout lineup so I was thrilled to find your video. Also, you mentioned it a few times.....price point. Not a range of $$$ that you want to haphazardly make an uneducated decision on.
    I've literally combed everything looking for this exact video! So thank you! I'll end up getting the same setup at 6'2". Well earned Like & Subscribe.

      Thanks for the feedback! That gave me an idea to talk to other tall riders and considerations they need to make for riding.

    Hey man.. I'm thinking of the memphis shades road warrior with cafe fairing for my Road King Special. Did you notice any changes to the handling with your cafe fairing? I don't like windshields as I find they act like a sail on the handlebars and I don't like the changes they make to the wind direction. That's why I'm considering the cafe from memphis shades. Thanks!

      Hey there! I didn't notice any changes at all with handling on my scout. I'm not sure how the airflow/handling would be different on your road king, but since the cafe fairing is pretty small I'd bet it'd be minimal impact.

    The road warrior faring removed 80% or better of the wind against my chest while riding an Indian Scout Bobber. The windshield and faring have slots in them, if you buy the correct version. These slots break up wind to disrupt the effects of buffeting. This is the way.
    The size of my windshield is only 11". I am 5'10". I believe my handlebars are OEM, so, quite low.
    The faring comes gloss black and must be painted by you or someone you hire.
    When I called customer service, I left my telephone number and received a call back.
    You will go faster with less wind on your chest. Please be careful.

    Thank you for this video. Helped a lot. I have had so much buffeting with my Indian Scout. I'm only 5'2". Having difficult reaching Memphis as well. I'm thinking the 11" might work?

    • @Valorcycle
      @Valorcycle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I think that should be more than enough. If you can, try getting someone to measure 11" from the headlight and you sit on the bike to get a rough estimate where the top of the windscreen should be. You dont want the top of the windscreen to be directly in your primary field of vision, but just beneath it.

      @@Valorcycle Nice, thanks man.
      I normally am not a big fan of Clubstyle aesthetics on Harley's (I own a '21 FXLRS with a headlight bucket) but your fairing looks very quaint on an Indian, plus the colour scheme you got for your bike makes it looks more unique from all the others. It's nice.

    I have the road warrior fairing but I'm not attempting to install it myself. You need a second set of hands to help adjust the headlight and the adapters as you fit the fairing. PAIN IN THE ANUS

    • @Valorcycle
      @Valorcycle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's tedious but not terribly bad to do it solo. That being said if you do have a second pair of hands to help, that will certainly expedite the process.

  • @ajvalerio86

    You're 6.3 and have the 15", me being 6 I'll go for the 11" and should be good. I also have shorter handlebars. Same seat you have. I think it will be fine, right?

    • @Valorcycle
      @Valorcycle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd double check with them on Instagram if you have an account. I might recommend getting the 13" to be safe, but I'm not an expert.

    • @zeroneutral
      @zeroneutral ปีที่แล้ว

      You probably already know but the 11" is sufficient for OEM handlebar setup.
