I really love this game and have played it many times ^^ super hyped for the new Update :)

There is a small error on my part. The game did get a small graphical update in 2014, so technically there should be 2014. But it does fit nicely with the 10 year update tho, plus i cant be arsed to fix it so I'll just leave it like this xd.

I gotta say, I really prefer the original design of the Slenderman from 2013. The way he hunches over the player gives him a real sense of scale. Plus, the newer model just doesn’t look as polished as the original. But graphically, everything else looks amazing.

Came here to say the same thing. Overall the remake looks better in every single way EXCEPT for Slenderman himself. Was so looking forward to him appearing in the remake and then was like that's it??
Update:
So, it looks like the slender model that they used for the trailer was just a temporary one. Because I’ve seen actual gameplay of it recently and from what I can tell, it’s basically the same model as seen in the original. Only this time, he looks more burnt. Also, I could be mistaken but I think that they also changed the color of his tie as well. I still haven’t played it for myself yet because I prefer the original 2013 version.
Plus, the new slenderman just looks smaller in comparison. The old one looked huge and way more intimidating.
I like everything about the new upcoming update but i still dislike how they made slender's proportions goofy. In the normal game rn he's built and is TALL af but here he looks like a normal dude with big hands
Yeaa i can see that. Hopefully it won't make too much of an impact. Also his face is interestingly different 🤔 can't say if i like it more or less honestly. Maybe they'll tweak it a bit before it releases, we'll see.
@@furioushulk3266 yeah the new "face" is notable but i think that was here before as in the original game there are rare instances where he looks like his grinning at you
@@ilikepigeons6101im sure they’ll tweak up his design before the release but even if they don’t…im sure this new design will fit in with the new style and graphics and we’ll eventually get used to this new “look” so it should be fine
That is a huge update, I can't believe it has been 10 years, thank you for showing the difference from 2013 to 2023 really brings out how hard they worked in this update
2013 created a darker tone. And inputs that fear into the players. But what the devs would have done to make the game more darker tone. Is to try to make the game become more realistic.
The old design is darker and honestly creepier....the new one is dope but damn i now see that they did a lot, the best thing is that you can play the old version as well by changing it in steam.
This game is fuckin fire! this update must be some kind of teaser for the next slender game!
I love to replay this game every year or two :D hopefully they do make a sequel at some point!
it is confirmed that with the update they will release new level and developers said that they are having more plans for the game

Alongside the announcement of a remaster, a sequel titled S: The Lost Chapters was announced on July 27, 2023.[9] The game will utilize more mechanics as well as featuring more antagonists, locations including the ones from The Arrival.[10]
As others have said, the new slender man model isn’t quite as good in a sense. However, I will say the new model actually looks more like it did in the alpha build way back when, where all the game was, was finding the 8 pages in the woods
Today I completed the game for the first time with this update and overall I liked it. The new lighting is simply space. But as many have noted above, I didn’t like the new Slender model and the game became even less scary. The game has been noticeably corrected in some areas. Although the subtitles crawling across the screen from the inscriptions in the game are not implemented very well
The new slenderman model looks like something outta human fall flat, just stretched and remade in play-do as well with the jumpscare being less intense.
i personally don't like the new design, it looks like some average unreal engine game, i mean don't get me wrong in some areas it looks beautiful with some hd looking models, but in other areas, it kind of feels like a downgrade from the original. i also like the running animation from the original, it always felt satisfying to me personally when-ever you get the adrenaline rush in the game when you run fast, but in the new version it just feels plane, sure that isn't really a main problem, but i cant help that i like the original. this is mainly my opinion, you don't have to agree with what i say, but i just wanted to explain my feelings.
I think it's mainly the lighting. Even in daylight the original felt more dark and livid. Like the sky was an allusion.
best thing is that you can still play the old version of the game by changing versions in steam properties of the game.

2023 look less scary, much alive colors and even less dark, but it is welcome for sure!
I'm happy they didn't forget about this game and the remastering it but to be honest I think the original is way better compared to the remaster but I'm saying it's bad in anyway it still looks good but I'll probably stick with the old one it looks scarier anyways
You can't deny that the graphical difference, especially the lighting and the forest, is brutal.

Weirdly feels more like downgraded, some random youtube guy's goofy unreal version. Don't get me wrong I don't hate it, it even looks nice at few places but really I'm sure some also felt something like this when they saw remake, original also somehow feels more real-worldy sized too.
the remake/overhaul is amazing but I just have one small nit pick, that being the way the character walks in the remake, I loved the swaying kinda walking and the whole aesthetic but I think the remake is very cool overall

right click the game in your library list, go to properties, betas, select beta participation and you can play which ever version of the game you'd want

Wait. THE GAME EXISTED BACK IN 2013?! HOW OLD IS IT?!
The game is 10 years old now. And I can tell that you only played the 3.0 version and never played the 2.0 version. And it's still possible to play the 2.0 version. You just need to locate slender the arrival in your steam library. Then click on the gear icon on the right and click "properties" A pop-up menu will appear, from here you’re going to click on the tab that says "Betas" and on the right-hand side you’ll see a drop-down menu, click on that and choose an option: either Version2013 or Version2015. The 2.0 version is Version2015.
El de 2023 da un ambiente de pocos momentos de tensión, el de 2013 es más oscuro y da el ambiente perfecto para juegos de terror y el slenderman de 2023 da asco es mejor el de 2013.

Gawd, the 2013 version is soooo much better! It's way darker and it makes you rely a lot on the flashlight, which gives the game a creepy and unsettling atmosphere. Also, about 2023 Slender... was that a face that I saw??
I thought it was kinda wack I had to buy it again on ps when steam got a free update 😒 but so far it’s pretty cool

Would be awesome to see a remastered version where we actually play as Slenderman himself like Jaws Unleashed but it's entirely different and other Creepypasta Based games for PS3 PS4 and PS5 where we play as Jeff his husky pup and best friend Smile their girlfriend and dog girlfriend Jane and her white german shepherd pup and best friend Princess and their friends Laughing Jack Ben Sally and their adoptive siblings and Slender as a mission character and others especially humans who are mission characters too.
Especially ones where Slendrina Granny and Slendrina's Baby are included in them too and Jeff Smile Jane Princess LJ Ben Sally and their friends have story modes and are unlockable with Jeff and Smile as the first player characters while the others are unlocked and become playable characters themselves.
