Ngl, i miss that shaky style of camera movement the original version had. But overall the remake feels great
I agree, the shaky effect was very intense
@@VidaNeon indeed, it added a lot more intensity to the gameplay
fr, they shouldnt have removed it all
I wish they could keep it in, although could prob have it an optional thing to turn off in settings
I didn’t really like the shaky camera cos it just felt horrible plus it didn’t work for me in chapter 2 if slender was near by cos it was just an overall mess to look at but for a game in 2013 it was fair good
my biggest issue with the original was how insanely dark it was. like dark to the point of not being able to see anything unless your brightness was turned up. so i hope that's been fixed here.
It has, at least for some of the outdoor areas with the moon. The indoors though, still pitch black.
Actually thats not the "Original" version's problem. It is v2.0's problem. The update where they downgraded graphics.
Haha, sort of *laughs in screams of terror* 😂
now its too bright
@Rohan-dj8ch you can see too much by how bright the moon is
Cool side by side comparison, the remake looks better with the graphics in my opinion and the original looks more nostalgic
Is not a remake
@@VillRezintnah, it was s remake.
@@RealRoboKnight no lol, just and update
@@VillRezint Its on an entirely new engine, and it was remade from the ground up.
@@RealRoboKnightremaster
This is actually a remake, not a remaster. It's made in Unreal Engine from the ground up, rather than using its original Unity counterpart. A remaster typically involves enhancing textures to achieve a higher definition, while a remake involves building the game entirely from scratch. Primarily in a new higher end engine

we dont care nerd
@@BenjaminoTalks Hmm, I don't seem to be asking about your opinion, but since you're here I'll humor you. Your KSI/Logan Paul content is so lame, it's like watching paint dry while listening to nails on a chalkboard. Go back to your basement, drink your prime, and shut up before you embarrass yourself even more.
@@BenjaminoTalksIf you truly didn’t care, you would have ignored it and keep scrolling. However you took time out of your day to type up a reply to the comment, which implies that you do care somewhat.
I miss shaky style camera movement in original they shouldn't removed it and bring back original flashlight model 😢
they say it's a bug and they're looking into it
My only gripe about the remake is the fact that the moonlight feels way too bright. Don't get me wrong I'm all for moonlight, I just feel like it should be a little bit darker but not dark enough to where it's pitch black(so basically between how dark it was and how bright it is now). Glad to see this game be remade though
The comparison doesn't do the new update much justice, i purposely played the game 2 days before the update to see if i can notice a difference, and damn when i loaded up the game post update, the difference was insane. I didn't notice it too much when walking to Kate's house, except for the environment, terrain and road being placed differently, but once it gets dark and you arrive to her house, the difference is night and day, it changes drastically. I really enjoy this new update, very awesome!!
Ambiance is thicc in the update, I need to know how I can turn up the volumetric fog and gi quality passed its set limits
Feels more lighter and less scarier than the original. Even if it does look good and has better graphics it just feels way less scarier. And slenderman is like 75% shorter than he is the original. Or that might be just me
Yeah the remake versions looks much better but.. the original is more scary to me. I don’t know if that’s weird but slender in the original is much taller and scarier than the new one.
0:05 Well. That went from 0 to 100 real damn quickly.
They need to touch up the forest fire sequence. That looks insanely rough compared to the OG. And I really don't like Slenderman's weird new tendril texture
Agreed
My biggest problem is for whatever reason the new graphics often look blurry for me.
Why didn't they update Kate's awful game model 😭
I mean, the Chaser's model still works (although i'd love to see it remade, like Charlie's), but her human model is actually TERRIBLE here, hope they remake her on later updates
(And hopefully update CR's "model", because they used the Chaser's model on that last sequence of homestead..)
I was actually expecting new animations for the chaser.
And u sure CR model is the chaser?? I mean, CR shadows in homestead doesn't look like the chaser.
@@lyricbr7417 the chaser did get new animations for when its attacking, for the rest its the same though
@@lyricbr7417 yeah, CR has his own model based on his shadows, but if you look close, on the last sequence of Homestead, where he drops his camera, you can see The Chaser's model running from Charlie's (judging from the very stained shoes and jeans, and even the hands.)
@@_castro personally they should have made kate and charlie more like monsters than just humans mind controlled by slenderman. like kate could be a bit like an onryo, charlie can be all thin and gaunt but still fast.
0:27 what the heck happened here?
I must admit, I'm surprised by how much people miss the shaky camera. I always found it fairly obnoxious.
It’s weird, some parts are better and some are worse in the remake. I prefer the 2013 version, maybe due to nostalgia (and the camera effects/slenderman’s model)
I genuinely prefer the newer one since it gives off more horror especially in chapter 3 where the mines feel more small and enclosed
@@Mr.Ghost.2103 original is scarier imo
@@RobertEdwinHouse9 nah it’s too open, with this one it’s more enclosed and feels more claustrophobic
What I really like about the remaster is how clean and finished it looks than the original
The new version is way too bright for my liking. Idk how to explain it, but the old Slander's darkness was playing to it's advantage, especially in chapters like Into the Abyss, 8 pages, and Matteson's farm, especially that part in the cellar, when Proxy Charlie is waiting for you in those cramped corridors, you could barely see him in that dim lighting, only his silhouette peering at you, which made it scarier. The remake didn't quite grasp that atmosphere.
I hope they remodel kate design with CR escape charlie
Slender's model is way scarier on the OG.
Why did they change charlie's face in the poster?
finally my childhood is back! :DD
It's very strange to see how the original version looks infinitely better with the exception of some effects in the Remake which uses more realistic lighting and better texturing, but the original has everything superior, more intense effects, darker effects and everything else.
the original looks like a painting this is especially noticeable with the farm levels the new one has the generic unreal engine horror game look if you know what i mean
The Kate jumpscare at the end was disappointing
hm the new forest looks strange off
just finished replaying it after the update, still a W game
They got some parts right, but there was also some things that should've been left alone. I think its all the characters who got done the dirtiest, Slenderman was somehow creepier when he was looked a bit lower quality, it somehow made him feel more attached to the player and less escapeable? Idk I just didnt fear the new better graphics Slender as much, Kate didnt get a single update in her chaser form, Charlie... got done dirtiest.
I just played the remaster, It just felt like I was playing a game made by one person who used loads of free assets, idk lol
Yeah I was super excited for it but found myself missing the original version(s) very quickly. Flashlight hand movement when running feels super weird, and the flashlight beam is atrocious
@@goldmaskfiend Yeah I find the flashlight beam utterly jarring,. Idk I hope we aren't the only people to think this and they fix it lol.
I also found it super weird that the proxy model basically didn't change at all?? Looked very out of place I think.
you can0t be serious, y'all people never get enough of anything, complain about everything, you can't even make a game of your own you dummy@@ripruiner
@Kostianovsky bro, they are right. The old game looks 10x better than what it is now. This game literally has terrible animations compared to the old version.
The original had a way darker amotsphere, the games lighting was dark, literally everything about the game was good and actually made it terrifying to play. This feels like if the devs from granny and hello neighbour decided to make a slender game but on mobile. Trash. That's what it is. The only that got improved was the graphics.
That's it. All of the soul, passion and effort put into this game was taken away. This is supposed to be a horror game. Not a horror game for children.
@@BoreBoot no they are not, they don’t even appreciate the remaster, They have to complain about everything in the game, the remaster is great
I love the new graphics, it looks amazing
I agree!
@@VideoGameNews I also like how the Chaser operates now. The way she moves immediately to a generator you’ve just activated to investigate
Does the VR mode still work?
Next, you should do a graphics comparison of all 3 versions of the game which are the 1.0 version, 2.0 version, and 3.0 version.
Blue lighting is over used in remastered
Ngl the original looks more scary
The original version looks better!
You are blinded by nostalgia
They are NOT blinded by nostalgia. The older game actually feels heavy and more darker than the new update. This new version just feels like it has mobile graphics and animation. Sure, its more smooth and higher resolution but it removes the tone the game is supposed to have.
The old game is supposed to be dark and lower brightness! That's the whole point of making it a horror game! There's so many glaring issues with the new update that people just can't see. It honestly feels like all of the passion and soul were taken out and removed.
@@flamingsplatter4088it’s not even that, the original is so much better in comparison with some factors
@@BoreBoot the games graphics aren't bad, it's just that it's too bright and you can see everything from a mile away, also thats an insult to mobile games
Does anyone know whre i can get the original game (i trrented the remaster) but my pc struggles a bit even at lowest settings.
Im surprised there isnt a Michael Jackson skin for slenderman. Good remake 👍
I have a goddamn GTX 1060 6GB + Overclock. And i3 12100f. so on ultra settings 1080p 20fps... Anyone can help?
It's a bit misleading to call left "original", since the game was already modified for the xbox release. The *actual* PC original can still be had on GOG I think.
How do I get the remake of the game?
Can I get it on gamejolt?
no it's on steam
I see
I hope the remastered version of slender the arrival comes to Nintendo Switch
It’s unreal engine 5, so it’s not possible to run on switch
@@johnnyjingus6259to be fair, fortnite is ue5 and it runs barely on switch 💀
@@txt_error9098 fortnite on switch doesn't use the unreal engine version, just normal. It can barely run low quality games at 1080p nevermind lumen and UE5
Give up the switch already
@Sharons-art-studio9084 The switch is a handheld, and handhelds can’t handle graphics that look too realistic.
Still poor animations lol
That remastered is horrible!
The flashlight/hand movement when running is very... bouncy? It's like the arm is just kinda flailing around. And the flashlight beam itself is tiny and strange, I miss the old flashlight/hand. But I do like the new player shadow, it actually changes based on which character you are playing as and is much more accurate
Mh no? Lmao
I agree. Old game was a lot better. This new one feels like a mobile game compared to the old one. Feels like most of the people in the comments haven't played the old version.
@@DArts425 Well lets see here. Lets stary with the most glaring issues, the animation.
The animation compared to the old game and the new feels like night and day. The old animation feels more crisp, slow but uncannily realistic in a sense? Like, charlie's run animation in the old version looks actually creepy and it feels more...broken like? I'm not sure how to describe it but looks good! I have problem putting stuff like that into words so my apologies.
And don't even get me started on slender's new model. Bro is like 50 - 75% shorter than us. He just seems like a 6 foot or 7 ft tall person and the original design actually had him looming over you. He felt tall and threatening and now he juet feels like he's just hanging out while watching us. No tension or anything. Just a casual "Oh hey there yeah stop looking at me pls."
Vs the old version
>Slender looms over you
>feels more intimidating
>It's like a 7ft basketball player standing over a 5 year old child (7ft vs 3ft)
>His face has way more detail and wrinkles put into it.
>He doesn't just let you stare at him, he disrupts your sreen with static IMMEDIATELY if you glance over and see him.
THAT'S what I mean! Smooth game doesn't mean good game!
It's dark and low resolution for a reason!
The fire in the forest reminds me of the Blair witch game. Now that game scared the shit outta me.
