Any way I can contact you, I have a bunch of questions on the incuview in respect to quail, as I bought one used at a good price. Mainly how well it does with quail and any tricks you have found using it
You can ask me here and I’ll see if I can help, I have used it for quail. Lay you eggs parallel with the turner rails. Don’t try to put to many eggs they need room to move. You will likely need to readjust the egg as they will bunch up at time due to the way the turner works. I made an insulated box to maintain heat better. Check temp and humidity gauge as they were off on mine.
Thanks for the fast response, I already have a govee because of the myshire vids, but seeing how you checked the thermometer and hygrometer makes me wonder if I should get another set just to be safe with my first batch of eggs. Also ill make up that frame for insulation as it seems pretty straight forward. And for water. Do you fill up all three chambers or just the large outer one.
@@Juan_Duran yes don’t rely on the govee or any other instruments for that matter. Calibrate your stuff and you will do well otherwise you really don’t know if it’s right or not.
@@Juan_Duran the amount of water you put in will be determined by the humidity in your house. You might not even need any if you are down south. You could try the outer ring and go from there.
Let me tell you easy way. put medical thermometer and also the sensor of your thermometer in mouth after 3 minutes take them out and the difference is the error that you need to adjust.
Thanks for sharing this!
You’re welcome, hopefully it saves someone from a bad hatch.
good to know Thanks!
Nerf ball for the win!
Keeping 3 or 4 calibrated thermometers in your incubator will give you temperature readings in a few locations at one glance.
thank you !👊🏽
You’re welcome!! Happy new year
