Down in Pimpama we get burn offs every year, and where I grew up in Maroochydore they still do it there too

To this day I can still smell the burning sugar cane fields, which I saw and smelled as a 3 or 4 year old in 1975-76.

I remember when my family stayed on a sugar farm and it was so hot 🥵

      Hi Kowald,
Me being a slight city slicker, I wasn't prepared for the heat. But it was exciting 😉

I will be glad when they ban sugar cane fires. It's so polluting. Who likes that ash getting on your clothes, in your rainwater tank, on your roof, on your car or on other things? Thank you for the video.

Might be time you move to Sydney you won't have ash down there in your rain water tank.

Not sure actually, anyone else here know how they harvest without burning?
