Fun fact: they used to have a j-bar that serviced covered wagon peak. They had to build the towers fully collapsible so that in the summer, they could put them down and disassemble pretty much the entire lift, after which they would store the parts in Reno. They had to do this due to extremely strict national forest scenic view protection rules. After some years, I guess they decided it wasn't worth it to basically take down and rebuild the lift every year, so they removed it entirely. All that's left now are some concrete foundations.
The T bar was purchased from a different resort in the Tahoe area, that is why it isn’t as long as we would like, however, you don’t have to hike vista anymore.
The last time I visited Kirkwood was the first year of Vail ownership so it wasn't as crowded as is probably gets now. I lapped this zone half the day and it was one of the best days of skiing I've ever had. Awesome blue cruisers and fun snow off sunrise. I need to get myself up there again soon.
The reason why they put the Vista T-Bar above the top terminals of Caples Crest and Iron Horse is to prevent guests who aren't ready for it from going there. Also first comment again love your vids do more in California

oh and the reason for chair 15's existence in the first place was that vail promised to improve the resort by adding new lifts! what a joke

You missed the best part of High Whisky: 7800. Does not appear on the map!
