Your videos are very helpful. I keep having this issue with error code 18. Under voltage alarm. Only happens under load at full throttle. Using FarDriver with 48v 25Ah BTR battery.
@@FranciscoNavarro-q2y , your fardriver is getting low voltage alarm? @@FranciscoNavarro-q2y here is the second video: th-cam.com/video/CEbrZgoybBc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1zNQRyYbsbqVSu97 If you cant charge while also reading the battery voltage its ok to charge till the light turns green, then unplug the charger and measure the voltage. It should be within 0.2v of what the charger output is when its not connected to the battery. For example 54.8v open line from charger, battery should not drop below 54.6v when you unplug it. This test checks if any cell group is reaching OVP before the others have a chance to balance. If you can open the pack it’s much easier to measure everything. Whatever you do, don’t do a BMS bypass because if you have a dead cell causing one group to reach LVP, the BMS will stop it before there is a fire. But if you bypass the BMS the cell group can go negative before you reach the 38v LVP in the fardriver, and the battery will overheat and potentially catch on fire.
Hello! I've been watching your ant bms videos ever since I found your channel. However, its my first time owning a 63Ah battery pack. Maybe you can check mine's current status and settings if it's doing well. I have posted a yt vid of all my bms configured settings. I'll be pleased to be advised from your vast experience and expertise. Thank you!
Every time my bike is under load and it spins it goes into shortnprotect mode and shuts the bike off I cannot turn it on until the bike is plugged in again. How to fix?
Can you make a screenrecording of your ANT app, starting with a slow scroll top tp bottom of the main page, then Vparams, then CurParams, and then go back to main page demonstrate and scroll until boxes 3,4,5,6 are in view, then ride the bike to make it trip. Then upload the video to your channel, not a short, not for kids, and let me know so I can come watch it and give my assessment.
@@Viralclips22833 i wont know if its good without the video I requested. There are many interrelated settings. It’s strange the protection was set so low unless you are the one who did that. If that was in fact the default setting it means the ANT model was way too small for your controller. But I can see everything needed from the video, so if you want my assessment , make the video.
Yes, I think your Balance Parameters settings are not optimal. I saw your balancing come on when it should not have. Indicating your settings are wrong. If you post a video of your settings, especially Current Parameters and Balance Parameters I can show you how to set those. Your current parameters must be set in tandem with the controller settings. You do not want the ANT to trip before the Fardriver pulls back current. Balance Parameter has many options. You can set it default and it will work fine. Or you can set it to balance to 0.000v. You can set it to do everything automatically, or like me, disable automatic balancing and only balance it occasionally to begin a new monitoring session. Because any change in cell balance at full charge at rest indicates cell health issues. Of course every battery will drift some after some discharge and charge cycles, but if you didn’t ride it for a week and 1 brick dropped 0.030v lower than the others, then there is a cell self discharging. If you get 0.030v difference after a month of daily charge and discharge, thats ok and thats why every BMS, even the cheapest, do some top balance maintenance each full charge.
@@apostolospetridis6038 is it something like this Seenruy pack? a.aliexpress.com/_oB9rfRG It does really shine what type of cells they use but says lipo. It has sag and differential but very accepted levels. This is how you test a pack you buy to see how well it was made. The manufacturer ratings normally cant be trusted but this test doesn’t lie. One reason it works so well is these are pouch cells directly connected at the tabs in 21a1p configuration. The ONLY place that could have caused a problem is the bus between the two stacks of cells, but they used thick copper to make the jump so it doesn’t cause a significant differential. I believe these packs are made at a good facility that either tests and matches the cells or buys them well matched. You could not order 21 of these cells from Aliexpress and connect them and expect the same matching because you get random lots and batches. Every real battery manufacturer has a test machine that grades and sorts the cells and then makes a pack with 21 cells of matching capacity and internal resistance.
